THE gaming mouse for a Mac!
I got this mouse for a MacBook Pro M3 Max. It works head and shoulders better, as one would expect from Razer, than my previous mouse, which never seemed to gel with the Mac. Better weight, better fit to the paw, better glide, and best of all. Razer has started making MacOS specific control software again, so I get all the fancy wheel tilts and other magic this mouse has to offer without having to wrangle with 3rd party software.I’m not an ‘action’ gamer by any means, but if I was, I’d want the sort of responsiveness the Basalisk offers.

Basilisk v3 Pro refresh – Great functionality and support
The current (at time of writing) top end Basilisk mouse of the Razer lineup, with adjustable dpi settings, wireless and bluetooth connectivity options, build quality, battery life and of course.. price point to match. Not the most expensive mouse but I preferred this one for its fit, feel and functionality over its much lighter and focused sibling, the Razer Deathadder v3 pro. The 35k version is stated to have a more precise sensor than the original, though I haven’t noticed this much if at all despite using both

Nine Months Later: Still My Daily Driver After Hundreds of Hours
After using the Razer Basilisk V3 Pro for nine months across everything from Call of Duty to Terraria and daily Reddit scrolling, this mouse has become my go-to peripheral. I upgraded from a Corsair Dark Core RGB Pro whose scroll wheel failed after 10 months, and previously used a SteelSeries Sensei. The Basilisk V3 Pro outperforms both in meaningful ways.Build Quality & MaterialsThe build quality remains excellent after hundreds of hours of use—no visible wear, no creaking, no loose buttons. The materials feel noticeably more premium than my Corsair, with a cooler-to-touch surface that doesn’t get clammy during long gaming sessions. The glide pads are a standout improvement; they collect significantly less grime than my Dark Core did, and cleaning is straightforward when needed. I’ve tested it on my bare desk, an ASUS ROG Moonstone pad, and Corsair mousepads—it performs flawlessly on all surfaces.Sensor Performance & Battery LifeThe 30K DPI optical sensor is exceptional. Whether I’m making precise shots in competitive FPS games or casually scrolling through content, the tracking is noticeably more accurate than my previous mice. The wireless connection has been rock-solid with no perceptible lag.Battery life exceeds expectations. With heavy daily use including RGB lighting, I get several days between charges. I recently added the Razer Mouse Dock Pro charging puck, which has been fantastic—just drop the mouse on the dock between sessions and it’s always ready. No more scrambling for cables mid-game.CustomizationBoth the RGB lighting and button customization are extensive and genuinely useful, not gimmicky. The programmable buttons have become second nature for weapon switching and ability binds. I’m planning to integrate this with my Philips Hue bridge when it arrives for unified home lighting control. The Synapse Software IssueHere’s the honest downside: Razer Synapse software can be finicky. Most bugs have been ironed out since launch, but about once a week I need to toggle the mouse off and back on to resync the RGB lighting. It’s a minor annoyance rather than a dealbreaker, but if you demand absolute plug-and-play reliability, be aware.VerdictThe Basilisk V3 Pro is the best mouse I’ve owned. It’s outlasted my Corsair’s scroll wheel failure point, feels better than my SteelSeries, tracks more accurately, and maintains its quality after months of abuse. The Synapse quirk is manageable for what you’re getting. If you’re upgrading from mid-tier gaming mice and want something that’ll last, this is worth the investment.Recommended for: Gamers wanting premium build quality and long-term reliabilitySkip if: You need absolutely zero software maintenance or are on a tight budget

Awesome mouse, responsive and feels good.
Excellent mouse, feels great in your hand and zero annoying software like I had on my replaced Logitech mouses super annoying Logi software. Liked it so much I purchased another one for my girl, to get her off of Logitech also.

    Great Quality and Very Durable
This is the best mouse I have purchased by far, I love the customization for both the buttons and the lighting! It feels very nice to use, and moves smoothly across my desk. It was also a very nice price, and is very durable since I use it everyday.

Ive had almost every Razer mouse ever made by this point, so Im WELL versed in how brittle their mice are. I bought this to replace a viper pro that after being completely dissasembled, de-soldered, and de-dusted; only took 3 days to resume missing 90% of scroll-wheel scrolls due to dust in the sensor.Imagine my suprise that nearly a year layer, this bad boy is still working like new.Weight is decent, not too heavy not too light. Coming from a 48g FPS mouse, It was relatively easy to adapt. The clutch button is ackward AF (If I don’t clip my thumb nail short, it clicks the button constantly). That said, its a genuinley handy tool. I needed E/Q bound to Mwheel for game dev while still needing Mwheel for zoom. Made 2 profiles that swap to eachother using the clutch and productivity soared! The servo for the hybrid scroll wheel sketches me TF out but I have had 0 problems with it. Having tactile scroll with an automatic cycle to freespin on a fast scroll is something I didn’t know I needed. All in all, this mouse has possibly been the nicest razer mouse experience ive had. I still can’t believe it honestly. Highly recommend!

It’s a well built decent little tank of a mouse, in my opinion the Deathadder v3 is a far more comfortable mouse, but that’s just me, the basilisk is noticeably heavy and smaller than I was expecting but I do got larger slender hands. The basilisk battery doesn’t last terribly long but can be circumvented by turning the RGB down to like 5 percent or so via razer synapse. This mouse has a lot of functionality with all the button settings you can do, if you’re a gamer I highly recommend using this function if you don’t already it can totally win you the match. There are cheaper mice out there but you’ll get what pay for with the Basalisk.
