Fun and engaging robot builder set!
This is a very exciting building set! Both of my sons 7 and 5 years old enjoy working on it together. Since they already mastered regular Lego sets and following instructions, I decided to try something more interactive. There are lots of pieces and it takes time to build, but that’s what makes it fun, every morning before school they spend time building, and after about a week they finished their first robot. They were so happy when it started moving and showed eyes on the screen. We still have 4 more models to build, which means even more screen-free fun ahead! A great toy to keep kids busy and learning at the same time.

Instructions marginal, but good product
The product says the age range is 8-12. I’m nearly 70, and i struggled a bit learning the directions, which are pictorial only. It took awhile to catch on to their method, but, once I did, things went quite well. The product comes with parts in cellophane bags and it’s quite intimidating when you first start out. Once you get going, it’s great fun. The parts snap together securely and the end result is satisfying.

A great STEM toy!
So this toy is advertised as 8 to 12, which I think is perfect. Unfortunately, it says 6+ on the box, which in my opinion is totally inaccurate.So this is kind of a mix between Legos and Kinex. It has multiple numbered bags that correspond to the different builds you would like to attempt. There are two sets of stickers, one pink and one blue, and I don’t think you can use both. I think I would’ve been much happier with some type of vinyl or silicone type sticker that could be removed and reapplied, thereby making it more versatile.I really appreciate that there’s more than one toy you can make with this kit. And not only encourages creativity and direction following, but it helps battle boredom when your child gets tired of one toy. Now, instead of just putting it down, they can take it apart and build a new one.The one thing that’s missing is some kind of storage bag or box. The box that came in certainly is sturdy enough that it could serve as permanent storage, but anytime a product comes with a lot of small parts, especially when it’s for children, I always appreciate the thoughtful inclusion of a storage container that not only prevents the loss of the parts but keeps both my feet and my sanity safe as well!Overall, this is going to be a huge hit with my nephews, and I have to be honest, I had a lot of fun with it myself!

As a mom and an educator, this is a hands-on set for young children ages 8 to 12, that will provide many hours of hands-on experiences for a young children to help stimulate imaginative play using manipulative that is of a robotic design. This is fantastic for my young children in my classroom.Young children will be engaged and interact whether it’s individual or in small groups with this educational robot set for many hours, exploring how each piece connect and try to discover how it works, which is fantastic for young children to help develop problem-solving skills and critical thinking.It combines stem education with imaginative play, allowing children to build multiple robot design from the same set of pieces, which is very unique. The parts fit together securely, and the instructions are clear enough for older children to follow with minimal help, promoting both problem-solving and fine motor skills development.This set is recommended for ages 8 to 12 and it creates a great balance between challenge and fun, with lots of opportunities also for adults to also join in with your child or in my case my students as an educator. It teaches basic engineering and programming concept through it buildable, configurable models, which is exciting these days. This is a fantastic set, is a great start to introduce basic coding to any child. The materials feel fairly sturdy and durable enough to keep any youngsters engage for hours.I also really appreciate the booklet with both simple, step-by-step and straightforward instructions accompanied by visual images to help guide building this robot.This is a fantastic five and one robot toys for ages 8 to 12 and even the big kid in the room as well perfect for Home, classrooms, use. This is my second toy built from a kit in the past 30 years or so. I can say that these kits are amazing for developing essential engineering skills such as troubleshooting, attention to detail, system thinking to name a few.I got this kit to see how the remote control works, what type of LCD is used and how the tracks are made. I got the answers now, the remote uses bluetooth (it needs 2 AAA batteries), LCD is pretty universal, I may be able to hack it to display other stuff, and the tracks are made of plastic components with rubbery spikes to improve traction.I only built one of the 5 models that could be built from this kit, but changing it to another model shouldn’t be too hard since the parts are really easy to identify. The instructions are really detailed and once you get through a few ambiguities the building process becomes fairly easy. There are a few minor inconsistencies and a few missed details that you could figure out as you go, as they are mostly common sense.After the toy is built it’s pretty fun to drive around and control. I would imagine after you build out all 5 toys you have a good enough understanding of the components that you could design and build your own model – that’s where engineering skills will be applied in full!

I’m really a fan of STEM kits since they blend learning and fun together so well. I’ve found robot kits offer the flexibility of LEGO with Meccano capabilities. The kit from DIEBA is well put together, everything is neatly organized and instructions are clear.Building this kit is a lot of fun, whether you have an older kid building it solo, or if you use it as a parent/kid project for your younger child. I was surprised by the quality of parts, along with the fit and finish – edges were clean and pieces fit together well.Enjoyed this build. Great find.

This Robot building kit is a great technic like set with an awesome remote control unit. The pieces are all similar in quality to technic sets and fit together well. I built it with my son and as soon as we were finished he immediately started rebuilding using his own creativity to rebuild the set. He also noted that some of the drive pieces could be replaced with better, more functional (smoother rotating) pieces from his other sets. The remote has some excellent features like light colour changes and different eyes on the screen.The app is unfortunately not available on the play store or the app stores & has to be downloaded from a website, I tested my son and asked him to download it, he responded “no way, I don’t want a virus”, passing the test. This is the biggest problem with this set as so many features are in the app and I highly encourage the manufacturer to get their app on a verified platform to avoid this concern.Overall its a fun & well featured building set with excellent functionality, but the app issue needs to be addressed.

My nephew is a Lego fanatic and has gone through various stem box sets over the years and I can’t wait to give him this for Christmas! This dieba building set is perfect for anyone age 8 and up (some assistance might be required with those on the younger side), with provided guides for five different models.The package comes with a motor unit, display screen, a really well made colour manual (with some occasional poorly written Chinese to English translations), stickers, individual packages and a remote. You can even pair the model with your phone so that you can generate custom script programming. This sounds complicated but it’s actually extremely user friendly.One thing to note is that the QR code for the app takes you to a link for the Kee Yee Go app. I’ve never heard of it before and Google has flagged it as unknown so you must chose to install anyways.Once inside the app, you can change languages and then select the R-series from the available models list.I think for what you get, this is exceptional value compared to other building sets with numerous possibilities for exploring and learning.
