I love this Monitor! All I Play is DayZ Standalone and Rotmg and I went from playing on a 50 inch 720p TV to This Peice of Hardware! After looking into TONS of Monitors i accidentally stumbled on this one!The ASUS Tuf Gaming Monitor, The name itself packed its own punch and had me wanting to learn more. AMD Freesync, dynamic Game Visual modes so you can find the right screen setting for any game, 1ms response time, 165hz for a maximum of 165FPS.I Ordered it and awaited it’s arrival.About 3 days later it arrivedIt took about 10-15 minutes to unbox and put together, the stand connected to it is Very sturdy and well made, its what I hold onto when moving the monitor around. The screw that holds the Foot of the stand into place can loosen up on its own and you might need to re tighten it after moving it a few times, no issue for me. Looks good, time to test it out.WOW, okay I’ve been writing this review since I started using this thing and it’s been a little over a month I think.It blew all my expectations out of the water,The first Game I booted up on this monotor was DayZ Standalone on the Ps4 and PC (I wanted to see both of them through the monitor) immediately I saw a MASSIVE difference in quality of pretty much everything about the game, it was alot more smooth, clear, HD, Bright. I could literally see characters sitting in bushes from MILES Away!Spotting people and items became way easier, I almost feel like it made me better at PVP but maybe it’s just the added confidence.I LOVE THIS MONITOR. i suggest picking one up before they realize they should Price these things up!!!Only true downside is that the monitor will adjust its own brightness depending on how bright or dark whatever is displayed on screen. It’s barely noticeable unless your switching tabs around.

Good enough for the kids
I purchased this for use with a hand-me-down computer. The display looks good enough and the 1080p resolution is great for ensuring games will run well for the kids without stressing the older hardware. I set the refresh rate to 100Hz and limited the framerate to 98FPS to keep things in check.The VG279Q3A does have a DisplayPort connection; it includes an HDMI cable, it does not include a DisplayPort cable. I assume you may need a DisplayPort cable if you wish to use the higher refresh rates. I used a DP cable and all refresh rates were available in Windows’ display settings, but refresh rates higher than 120Hz do not appear in the Nvidia app.

Best Bang for your Buck Gaming Monitor
This is an absolutely impeccable monitor for the price. Just be sure to purchase a separate better quality display port cable. The one it comes with is fine, but why not get a better quality one.I was able to easily set the display to 180hz out of the box with no need to OC. My main concern for this monitor was the speaker, and they are good enough. The sound quality is good and loud enough for your YouTube videos and Zoom meetings.I gamed a few hours of Remnant 2, and the visuals were as smooth as butter. Definitely don’t pass up this beast of a Monitor.

Color display a bit weird
The display is generally good, but the colors were a bit weird and took a lot of adjustment both with the monitor’s own adjusters and with Nvidia’s digital adjustments to get it to look good. For some odd reason it made yellows really strong which made things kind of ugly. ASCR is terrible because doubles down on darkness to the point of black screen when it’s on a dark scene, so make sure you turn that off. The vividpixel adjuster is nice though.

I love this monitor. I have had two in the last 6 yrs and the reason for the replacement is bc a of “user error” the second one I have not had any problems at all

Updated: Died after 10 months, manufacturer warranty
I used this monitor maybe 3-5 hours daily for 10 months. Just completely stopped working today without warning. I luckily was able to test the power cord, but unluckily that works fine with my other monitor.Loved the monitor before it broke though!Update 10/4/23: I’m working with Asus directly for a warranty repair/replacement so I will keep updating as that goes!10/23 update: the monitor was processed within days!! I should be receiving it tomorrow or Wednesday to see if it’s back in working order.10/25 update: The monitor was shipped back via FedEx, signature required. We chose to pick ours up. Anyway, it works perfect again. No idea what failed but the repair was processed super quick and easily. Took 10 min to request the repair online and two weeks later the monitor is back on my desk. Bravo Asus!TLDR: monitor stopped working but Asus manufacturer warranty repair was seamless. Extremely happy customer.

Poor quality monitor defective after less than one year
After less than a year and caring for this monitorIt literally sat on my desk in the same spot just fine never moved.Suddenly one day a huge green line appeared across the center of the screen.I updated my driver’s and this issue doesn’t appear on my second monitor.It’s definitely the monitor itself being defective.Don’t waste your money and get something better quality or it will break in less than a year sitting on your desk with regular use…

Está muy bien, lo uso como segundo monitor ya que manejo un 2k entonces este de 1080 se nota la diferencia pero se ve bien, si lo recomiendo y por el precio está bien, los controles del monitor ayudan mucho para mejorar todo, para que se vea mejor

Easy setup even without a manual. Picture quality is fantastic. I play starfield fallout 4 Metro and on it goes fantastic monitor. Powered through Dell g16 with lots of RAM Nivea GPU who could ask for more.

Lo compre para mi Xbox Series S y la verdad se ve bien. Los 120hz son nativos en la xbox y no tiene nada de ghosting. Recomendado si buscas un monitor “barato y de buena calidad.”
