Reliable in Remote Areas
Wonderful! This product had a range of about 2 miles in the mountains. Sound quality was clear and they were easy to learn to use. We recently stayed at a cabin and rented a boat in a remote area in Utah. We had little cell service; sometimes texts would go through, and sometimes you could receive a call coming in from outside the area, but no outbound calls would work when on the lake. These walkie talkies ended up being our only reliable form of communication! We used them whenever someone was on the boat fishing and the other half of the group was at the cabin. This saved us from time spent looking for one another and also helped with simple needs. We might call and say, “Hey we forgot sunscreen.” “Hey we are on our way to the Marina can you meet us with the boat in 10 minutes.” I can’t say enough good about these. We were traveling with four small children so we had to split up for naps etc.I also love the split charger: you can charge two units at once. We actually didn’t even have to charge them at all over the long weekend.

These are light and small radios with great range. They sound decent and plenty of channels to select from. They work perfect and even has channel for emergency weather and a flash light. Also comes with rechargeable batteries. I dont use the included charging cables which is a usb end to a 2 way split usb micro b’s so you can charge 2 radios with one cable. I instead use a separate 16 battery charger which i use to charge the batteries from the radios by taking them out.The screen on one of these cracked while some of the kids were playing with them and dropped it on the concrete. Also I’ve noticed the batteries dies out on one of the radios faster than some of the other radios.Flash light isnt too bright and

When our previous, cheapie set of walkies just weren’t cuttin’ it anymore, I felt it time to up our game & buy a set of walkies that would survive the use we put them through. Our family uses these every single day, morning & night, and often somewhere in the midday, as well. For the most part, these walkies have been sturdy, useful and reliable. The flashlight feature is helpful during outdoor night time work. The audio is very clear. The battery has a long life, plus the walkies can recharge by plugging them in with the included cords. And the SOS siren is loud enough to hear from inside the front of our house, all the way out to the back side of our horse paddock — tested one night by accident! *snicker* All in all, sufficient for what we need. The only bad thing I really have to say about them is that after a couple weeks, the orange one started acting up: mostly, turning off for no reason. By then, it was too late to exchange them, so we basically have a three piece set now, instead of the four we needed. The orange was mine, so now my husband & I have to share. Not a big deal, but not why I bought the four pack.

Amazing for the money. I’ve created a video review to cover the things you probably will not find in other reviews. My review is from a more experienced level explaining these radios to somebody not familiar with radios. These radios use some of the same internals as professional grade radios. Want to understand what these are? What to understand battery life? Hopefully this is a jump start video to understanding radio as a review of this product. I think they’re great considering a good professional radio is easily $200 for just 1 unit. And you can talk to those $200-500 radios on these. Concerning the batteries, these radios have a high and low power transmission mode based on channel. Read the instructions. Batteries are 1000mAh, so not the longest lasting but still good and at least these come with batteries, other brands I looked at did not come with them. Currently recharging name brand AA batteries are about $1-13 for 4 and have up to 2300 mAh. We had no issue with average use. If you use them a lot, you might want to upgrade the batteries, but months later, we’re still on the original charge for occasional use. Also, they’re radio’s, don’t expect smartphone audio quality. You’re talking about $10-15 per radio here which is the cost of name brand batteries alone!

Great to keep up with family on vacations
I purchased these when me and my family was going on a trip to Costa Rica. We were hiking mountains and we were sleeping in separate cabins so we wanted to keep in contact with each other. These were so great. The range was perfect. The battery last alone time. It also gives you a signal of a beeping sound when the battery is getting low so you can recharge it would recommend.
