I originally left a negative review because my first lock went offline while I was out of town and never automatically reconnected—even after my Wi-Fi was restored and every other device in my home came back online within minutes. For a security device, that instability was really concerning.To their credit, the company reached out to me immediately after my review and sent a replacement lock at no cost. Their customer service was fast, responsive, and proactive. The replacement has been working perfectly with no connection issues at all. It stays online and has been completely reliable so far.I’m leaving my original review below for context, but based on the performance of the replacement and the way the company handled the situation, I’m updating my rating from 1-5 stars!I’m out of town and this lock went offline without any notification. My internet must have briefly dropped, but every other device in my house (TVs, Nest thermostat, Alexa devices) was back online within minutes. Meanwhile, this lock and my cameras are still showing as offline hours later. It’s now 1 p.m., and the app still says “Front door offline.”This is exactly why I bought the lock to be able to monitor who’s coming and going while I’m away. Instead, I’m left wondering if it’s even secure. What makes no sense is why this lock can’t automatically reconnect when the Wi-Fi is back up, the way every other device in my house does. For something that’s supposed to protect my home, it feels really unreliable and concerning. Bottom line: do not rely on this lock for security when you’re away. If it can’t stay connected or recover after a simple internet hiccup, it’s not trustworthy.

Budget friendly and quality product as far as smart door locks go.
We had an older version of this and the screws came loose. Not good for something that’s supposed to keep your door locked. I looked around to other similar deadbolts but was familiar with this and decided to keep with the look. It wasn’t about cost, it wasn’t about name brand. It was mostly due to knowing the product as this was on the door when I bought the home and I don’t need anything above and beyond fancy.Installation is extremely easy. The deadbolt, like most, comes airy a twisting feature should your door need an extended bolt. As I had a previous version of this, everything came out easy and went in easy. Had I switched brands maybe it wouldn’t have been as easy, however the install is simple. Put the mechanisms in, feed the wire, mount the outside, mount the inside.My favorite part about this is the codes and WiFi compatibility. I can now assign codes to whoever I want. Not necessary for a home, but great for a rental property or secure area. I can also lock and unlock via the app. While I’m not ignorant to the fact that this may pose a security issue (as can anything these days), now I can check and see if the door was locked without having to return home. If it isn’t locked, I can do so remotely. At least I think I can. I haven’t tried off my WiFi honestly.Fingerprint sensor works well. Not something I planned to use frequently or rely on, but it’s there. Same with keys. Should the battery die or something happen, the old fashioned way is still an option. It also has an auto lock feature. I don’t really like to use it as we like to prop the door open sometimes and my young kids like to slam doors shut. So maybe when they’re older. We also don’t like somewhere where I feel the need to keep my doors locked 24/7.For the price point, I can’t complain. If anything changes, this review will be the second to know. Otherwise, I’m content with this and pleased with the purchase.

Not a 5G WiFi compatible lock system
The lock works great but not all functions are available with my 5G WiFi. Biometrics and lock/unlock with app are “not” available with 5G. I would have made a different selection if I had known. It may have been my fault for not reading more information about it. It does look nice and has a nice finish though.

Works great, easy to install
Works great. No problems with installation, programming, or connecting to wifi. Fingerprint scanner seems to be reliable. I tested with the the wrong fingers and positions and it wouldn’t open but always seems to open for both of us when done correctly. Love the notification I get when its opened, exactly what I needed.
