More options than just a key
This is a nice upgrade for the doors. Fitment is good, install straightforward. Took a chance on this as my first keypad deadbolt since it was on sale around 60 bucks, and i wasn’t disappointed. I’ve set multiple fingerprints as well as a new code without any trouble.We can give the code to a friend or neighbor if they need to get in when we aren’t home. No need to ensure someone has a spare key!Know that if your finger is wet, the fingerprint reader will have trouble scanning properly, so ensure you have a clean/dry finger when using it. You can still put in the code instead if needed.You should have a key with you or nearby in the event that the batteries die, so keep that in mind. I tend to keep fresh batteries by the door just in case. I feel like i can notice when the batteries start dying, the lock gets more sluggish, and I think the lock will beep and flash red to warn you to get new batteries in.I ended up liking this enough that I replaced the other two deadbolts with the same one. Good value for all of the features you get at the price point.

Really impressive – Works Perfectly
First off: really impressive something like this exists at this price point.Installation: piece of cake. A drill with a Philips bit was all I needed. You could do this with a screwdriver and muscle if you really had to.The directions were intuitive and I only had to use the included printed ones. They include a link to video, but I didn’t need it.The lock itself functions beautifully. The mechanism is smooth and sturdy. I was impressed it “remembered” which direction the lock goes.Installation took me about about 45 minutes total on a brand new entry door. Included in this timeframe, I set up a new master code and multiple fingerprints for my wife and I.If something out there is better than this, for the price, that would be surprising. This is exactly what we wanted when we bought it. Perfect for our needs.

works beautifully
Installs relatively easily, especially on pre-drilled doors. Works like a charm and has three different modes of operation, so you’d really have to work to lock yourself out. I’ve only used it a dozen times, but I’m already addicted to the finger print option. Saves much time and aggravation. Both the lock and latch work very smoothly. The only glitch is if your opening to receive the bolt is a bit out of position or shape, the bolt may bind up (but that’s not the lock’s fault). It still unlocks via the little motor in those situations but it will give you trouble locking until you get alignment fixed. Highly recommended.

Great customer service
The first lock would not take a set up code so I called the trouble line number. Aaron was great and walked me through the set up process, only to find it didn’t work. He reordered a new lock for me, and it was delivered the next day. Then Aaron followed up with a call to make sure it was delivered and it was working correctly. Great customer service.
