Vasco V4 translates spoken language between two or more people. The device also translates calls over speakerphone, photographed text and text typed using the on-screen keyboard. It is not suitable for films, lectures, videos or music.
Does Vasco V4 also work offline, i.e. without internet?
No, because based on today’s technology, good translations use AI which requires the Internet.. Vasco V4 provides the necessary connection for life, at no additional cost. If no mobile network is available, the device also will work via Wi-Fi.

Very Smooth Translator and ready to be used in Intl. Travel
Just recieved the translator for my trip to Europe. I think its functions pretty well. It can be used without Wifi or your iPhone. It used Mobile phone network and transltion speed could be slower than Wifi connection.After connecting to home wifi, this translator respond very quickly. It is good to be used in learning foreiggn language. more than enough language options for me to pick up. I like it instantly!!!

This item does NOT need to connect to the internet via a smart phone!
I’m using this for Japanese to English, and reverse….It does NOT need the internet ( via a smart phone or a network)..this is HUGE when you’re someplace and can’t get a network wireless signal. It’s easy to use, and is fairly loud…which is great because I’m hearing impaired. It translates text and voice…and as far as my tests go, is VERY accurate and quick!! I can’t wait to try it in Tokyo!!! I actually own an Enence, and it NEEDS internet via a smart phone to work….big drawback when using it in other countries!!

THESE ARE THE MOST TERRIBLE SOUNDING TRANSLATORS THAT I HAVE EVER HEARD. I HAVE HAD THESE FOR A WHILE NOW BUT I FORGOT UNTIL NOW, WHEN WRITING A FEW REVIEWS FOR PURCHASES I HAVE MADE ON AMAZON, THAT I STILL HAVE THESE AND THAT I NWVER COMPLAINED BEFORE THIS. I AM ACTUALLY QUITE AMAZED AND SHOCKED AND NOW REALLY CONFUSED AT THE MONENT AS I BUY SO MUCH FROM AMAZON AND I JUST CANNOT BELIEVE THAT AMAZON WOULD SELL ANYTHING LIKE THIS.AS I MENTIONED, I PURCHASED THESE A WHILE BACK AND I WILL ADMIT THAT MAKING A COMPLAINT THIS LATE IS MY OWN FAULT. Bit pricey but I get it.
I’ve used translation apps and having. Standalone device was a game changer.For the price I wish they would upgrade the chip so it would be instantaneous, but it was still plenty fast once it was working.I used it in numerous places and having someone speak directly into the device and not having to worry about handing an iPhone pro max back and forth in a developing nation alone is worth the purchase.It can translate long passages, and made it easy to hold conversations back responding to whole conversations. 3.8 stars is prolly fair, I’m giving it 4.*you need to restart it daily. Also did not use offline mode, once I was in a building without connection and I could not use it.

Vasco Translator V4 is so easy to use, it’s designed perfectly
This is a great device for me and my travels, I have been teaching in Italy for a number of years. For me learning another language has never been easy. Last year I borrowed this same device from a friend who uses them in a University class, I used it to communicate with my clients in Italy and it worked like a dream. I am not a very tech savvy person so this Vasco Translator V4 was a godsend. It is very intuitive and easy for me to navigate. I was able to finally have full conversations with these friends I have known for years, and it felt great. The package arrived with so many extras, a wrist strap, a clear plastic protective case and a Vasco Powerbank in case I am out and about and the device needs juice. Battery is much weaker than advertised
I like this product, and I want to support smaller companies; however, I had to return this due to its poor battery strength. With wifi turned off and without using the device, the battery lasts only 2 days. I reached out to Vasco, and they said without use and without wifi (which uses power), it lasts 3 to 4 days. Mine did not. When using it, the battery strength drops dramatically, much more than a phone, and I would not expect it to last more than a couple to maybe a few hours when in use. The potential advantage of this product over your phone is that you can access spoken translation without wifi in many parts of the world. Unfortunately, the poor battery life erases much of this advantage. Their customer service was responsive and they offered to replace it. (I chose to return it.)

I like the size and style of the translator fits into your hand well and seems to hold good battery charge well the photo translator part is very handy and accurate and a good helper. the translator is fast and sometimes struggles to keep up and you think it did not capture your sentences, but it completes it ok over all ill rate this 95% translatorDislikes price is a bit high for this item. Using Swahili not quite accurate as i guess it’s spoken in so many dialects but was understood enough at times some having to ask again to confirm on their answer the translator to text you must keep hold of the button so you get the full conversation otherwise it will stop and finish, if they pause to long between sentences annoying.
Received this but missing charger in the package , the sale suppose to come with it. –
