The Turtle Beach VelocityOne Race is on a whole different level of realism. The direct drive force feedback is incredibly detailed—you can feel every little slip, bump, and curve in the road like you’re actually in the car. The wheel itself feels premium and solid, not cheap or wobbly, and the texture gives it that real race car grip. The pedals are super smooth and responsive, especially the brake. It’s got that firm, realistic resistance that makes a huge difference. Setup took just a few minutes, and it connected to both my Xbox and PC with no issues. I really like how customizable the control settings are, making it easy to dial in exactly how you want it to feel. The layout of the buttons is intuitive, so you can make quick changes mid-race without breaking focus. I’ve played with it on Forza Horizon and Assetto Corsa, and the immersion is insane It’s honestly addictive. It’s sturdy, well-built, and doesn’t feel like it’ll wear out anytime soon. Whether you’re a hardcore sim racer or just looking to level up your setup, this wheel delivers the perfect mix of realism, performance, and fun.

Surprisingly Sturdy and Immersive
I’m pretty new to sim racing, so I’ve been wanting a wheel for a long time but couldn’t justify buying one until now. Most of the new wheels that come out get mixed feedback about quality for the price, so I wasn’t sure what to expect here.Setup took me longer than it should have. The included diagrams confused me at first because I thought the screws were required. Turns out, unless you’re hard mounting to a frame, you can just use the desk clamp and avoid screws entirely, which makes it beginner friendly once you realize it.The firmware update process also had a learning curve. The Turtle Beach Command Center didn’t work for me, but the VelocityOne Tuner app did. You can check firmware versions on your phone, but updates have to be done through the Xbox app. What tripped me up most was navigation: neither the Xbox controller nor the RB button worked in the update menu. It ended up being the paddle shifters that let me move through the options. The instructions could definitely be clearer about that.As for build quality, I was pleasantly surprised. The wheel itself is heftier than I expected — a lot of entry-level sets feel light and plasticky, but this one has a solid grip and some real weight to it (around a pound). It’s not so heavy that it overwhelms the drive motor, but it feels durable and not like it would break easily. The pedals have a sturdy base with real metal pedals, and the paddle shifters are also metal, which adds to the premium feel. The lighting is a nice touch as well, though I couldn’t find a true red or darker red option in the onboard settings.Once I finally got everything sorted, I was impressed. The pedals feel similar to my own car, and the wheel has more tension than I expected for an entry-level 3.2nm setup. Even with only light adjustments, it already feels realistic, and I can see myself tweaking more as I learn. I tested it with Forza Horizon 5 since it’s beginner friendly, and the immersion was fantastic.Right now my setup is clamped to a small glass desk, so I can’t push it too hard, but the strength of the wheel surprised me in a good way. Overall, as a beginner, I’m very happy with this set and look forward to learning and using it more.PS. I forgot to mention during setup I noticed the cushion for the clamp was misaligned with screw holes. Not a big deal but if it was further slanted, mounting would be difficult to a frame. Also, great touch to add so many different countries adapters for the AC plug!

Do not buy for Xbox
The wheel itself is awesome. The construction I think is good. This is my first sim racing wheel I would have preferred more force feedback. My only major gripe is this pack is 500$ and it only works with one game on Xbox, that I was able to find and that was after updating it. It’s ridiculous, they have a wheel at a higher price bracket and that one works with more games but a $500 bundle after tax has only one working game that I could find. I tried f1 23,24 need for speed heat, forza horizon 5, rally 2.0. This is just unbelievable. They could patch it up later but I don’t have the time to wait.
