Great router ❤️
Great powerful router. I paired it with some Whiteside router bits and it cuts hard and softwood butter smooth.the dust collection is also quite good. The digital screen and settings are extremely helpful. I just input bit type, size and wood type (soft/hard) and then it gives me the correct speed that I should run on the bit. It also comes with all the peripherals (1/4″ collet and edge guide) that are sold separately with other higher end routers. The cons of this router would be that when the product was delivered – the box was pretty beat up. I would recommend getting the amazon box to pack the router box for better albeit a little more protection. When i first used the plunge base it was a bit catchy where it wouldnt retract smoothly, but i suspect this might have been due to the rough delivery. After a bit of use the plunging became smoother but not perfect. At this price this is definitely a great, if not perfect router for a passionate hobbyist wood worker like myself.Would highly recommend.

Tiny But Mighty – This Router Means Business
The SKIL 20V Brushless Compact Router Kit may look small, but don’t let its size fool you—it’s like the superhero of routers. That brushless motor hums like it’s ready to conquer wood, and the 4.0Ah battery plus 1-hour charger mean you’re never left staring at a dead tool wondering where your life went wrong. It’s so compact and easy to handle that even my shaky hands feel like a master woodworker. Precise cuts? Check. Smooth edges? Check. Feeling like a DIY legend? Double check. Honestly, I’m starting to talk to it like it’s my tiny woodworking sidekick.

Outstanding Performance
I’ve used them all Triton, Dewalt, Bosch, Makita and yet I buy my 2nd 14 amp Skil router (mdl 1322) Why? because the extra features that come with this router along with the power and stability. I have yet to have a problem with this router. Skil has come along ways to compete with other big name routers such as I listed already. Face it you know as well as I do that you are paying for the “name” on some of these products. In my view I am getting a quality product for a good price with features that don’t exist with the some of the other products. Like 14 amp power, LCD speed control, Electronic feedback, Soft start and live tool indicator, LED lights that light up the area where the action is. By the way I’m still using my 1st 14 amp Skil router the 2nd one I have dedicated to my linear table sled and for larger bits. It’s very comfortable to use.

Works great. Amazing price.
This is a great beginner and advanced router if you are on a budget. I am a woodworker and I would use this over many HD brand routers. It is powerful and it is adjustable, which is good. The plunge base works very well for juice grooves on cutting boards, sign making or anything else you would need it for. I’ve had it for over a year now and it’s still running strong and good.

Good price
This is my third router, I was looking for a plunge base and this combo was a great price. the fixed base is going on my router table and I will then have another fixed base and the plunge. So far it is working great. I gave it a four because it is a little loose at times.

A fine router kit
My first impressions are positive. It quite a bit heavier than I expected but very easily handled. If it holds up for many years, I’ll be a happy buyer.

Great router
This is a great router to have in your workshop. Ive been using it for a while, and it is still going strong. Easy to change from fixed base to plunge routing. The pre programed speed settings are nice to have also.

Far more premium than the price would suggest
Solid chunky build quality. Amazing considering the price, this feels way more premium. Operation is smooth and powerful, handling is comfortable. Great product, well recommended

I bought this as a dedicated router for my SKIL RAS900 Router Table. It fits the table perfectly and all of the controls for speed and height adjustment are at the front if one puts the plate on the proper way.On my first install I had all of the controls at the back and realized that was not handy. I then saw that I could turn the router 180 degrees on the plate and as such all of the controls are at the front of the router table. It is very easy to adjust the height from huge adjustments to minor or micro ones. I am able to change any bit with the router installed so that is a plus. No need to remove the router or reach under the table as the bit can be installed or removed with the included wrench at the top of the router table. When I first turned on the router in the house with no bit attached I did a speed test and one could hear the huge difference from the 1 to the max 6 adjustment on the speed dial. For those interested in how much voltage this router uses, my tests showed it used 105 volts on the lowest speed and 535 volts on the highest speed. Now that was tested with no bit attached. Now with a bit cutting into wood creating a workload one would think that all of my voltage numbers would be a bit higher. It comes with an edge guide and all of those cheap ones are next to useless, unless one just wants to cut a dado straight down the board with no concern of an exact measurement in distance from the edge. The included 1/4 inch collet that plugs into the 1/2 inch collet is solid and a perfect fit for 1/4 inch shank bits. For the price this looks to be a really good router and will handle most tasks that one will ever do with a router table.

Good router combo, the pros: easy to switch between the plunge base and the fixed, has multiple speed preset depending on bit type, depth of cut, and material type. Soft start is a plus and comes with an edge guide which normally would cost you extra with the competitor brands. The cons: a bit heavy, the opening at the bottom needs initial routering if you’re using larger bits. When using 1/4 bits the collet loosens in 2 stages so you gotta use the wrench a bit more than you think you would need to. Overall it’s good for the price, we’ll see how long it’ll last. Amazon also lost my package the first time so it took a long time for it to arrive, if you need it soon don’t count on it arriving on time.
