Bit pricey but it is a very solid product and it does exactly what it’s supposed to
TLDR at the very bottomI was skeptical about buying one, all that money for storage, really? No thank you. Well… that worked for me for a while lol but eventually I hit that point where it was unavoidable, I had to get something. I deal with tech all the time, I’m no expert, but I’d like to think my judgement is solid, fair, and reasonable.Anyway I’ll get on to it.Pros:I know being pricey isn’t exactly a pro because it is no doubt expensive but in my honest opinion it’s well worth it for both but especially the 1TB. I would recommend waiting for a sale or something if you’re strapped. Don’t fall for FOMO.They’re extremely reliable, function is genuinely impressive(no exaggeration, it is just as advertised and is just as fast as the internal drive), it is compatible with both the Xbox Series X & Xbox Series S ONLY, should be obvious but just in case.I do like the design it is very sleek, sexy, and thin but still built solid. It reminds me of the memory cards for all the old consoles we had to buy back in the day.The quality impressed me as well, no it’s nothing revolutionary, but they are bult very well and they have a clear protection cap to put on the end of the card for when/if you take it out of the console so it doesn’t get scratched.Small thing but I like the size, I was expecting it to be massive-ish but it’s kinda tinyCons:I do wish it wasn’t as much as it is, it is a lot of money but you CAN find deals, also look at the New & Used section as well. I still feel like it’s worth it for the 1TB but the 2TB price is ridiculous. $250+ – $350+ cannot be justified. It’s worth MAYBE $220 at most.I wish there was a hub for the Series X and S so you could have 2 Storage Expansion Cards plugged into the console all at once because I have three of the 1TB Cards.Be VERY careful pulling it OUT of the console, it can scratch the plug in part of the Card easily so take it out as straight as possible if you have to take it out. Don’t be wiggling it. The scratches won’t ruin it but still… be careful.Anyway TLDR; I do recommend it, very solid product and I think the 1 TB is the perfect option but if you do have the money I’d get the 2 TB but ONLY if the 2TB is on sale. Don’t forget sometimes they have the payment plans and also look for some that are in the New & Used section, you can genuinely get better prices occasionally and yes they are worth it even if it is Used. Might get one with a slight scratch or tiny cosmetic damage. They always test the product before sending it to you.

2 TB is overkill but so worth it, you can either move the games over to it or have them download directly into the storage expansion. All of my games are on it and quick resume works like normal. It’s a little expensive but you only really need one so if you have the extra money or can afford to make payments definitely get it over any other storage.

Storage woes, here’s the fix
I love how fast and easy it was to get up and running, simple plug and play at its best. I much prefer this method to the PS5’s requiring you to remove a panel. It’s fast and lets you bounce between games with quick resume support. MSRP is a bit much so wait for a sale it’s well worth it.

Gamertag- SJR51GAMEROk so 1st thing is don’t get 1tb version , get 512gb or 2tb , as many on YouTubers have done transfer speed tests noted that 1tb is not able to reach 6Gbps transfer speed like the other 2 cards from Seagate as they are the newer versions . So I got the 2TB card.Yeah it’s expansive but it’s not suited for everyone. The thing is that this is not a storage solution , there are cheaper options available to solve your storage issue. Usb 3.0 hdd could provide you with reliable storage solution for way cheaper price. Transfer speed would range between 60-90 mb/s (as xbox shows approx 600-900 Mbps) Any kind of ssd which connects to xbox via usb will give transfer speed of max 1.5Gbps. At this option it reaches the usb speed limit (if I’m correct).The Xbox storage expression cards is only for those who value time more over everything else. So basically it’s for those who can’t wait for the transfer to complete and then play the game. Like those who get just a little time to play games but have a lot of games and want the freedom to play the game they feel like playing right then and there.I have an old Seagate 2TB hdd that I used since Xbox One. It still works perfectly but as I get older I don’t get much time to play games and so I don’t want to spend the little time I get to play in waiting for the game to complete the transfer of the game from external to internal storage as the games now days are getting bigger and bigger. So instead of waiting I choose to get the card and just keep the games in the card and play directly from the card.Now I don’t store games in the internal storage just to be safe and keep everything at one place.Features1. Quick ResumeMost important feature is that it supports “Quick Resume”. You can unplug the card / turn off xbox / unplug xbox , don’t play for couple of days , come back and turn on xbox , insert the card and you’ll see the game in the Quick Resume waiting for you to play.2. Transfer speedsAlthough no point in transferring once the game is stored on the card as you can play the games same as on the internal storage. But just incase you need to know , it hits approx 6Gbps(the 512GB and 2TB cards from Seagate)Let me go in a bit detailCopy speedI(Internal) to C(The Card) – range from 1 to 5 GbpsC to I – around 6 GbpsMove speedI to C- range from 1 to 5 GbpsC to I – around 6 GbpsTransferring from external storage to Card will be the same speed as you get in transferring from external to internal storage.Thing to know.This is an Nvme ssd solution. So this also has the same pros and cons of Nvme. I also started keeping my games in the Card only because I want to prolong my internal storage lifespan as they are not replaceable. I don’t want to go in detail but in short it’s better to keep everything in the Card and use less of the internal storage.GG!
