Just get it. Great in every way. Works flawlessly in 2017 Honda Pilot.
Super happy with this product. Everything in the packaging felt premium. The instructions were well written, easy to follow, extremely detailed, and even the booklet felt high quality. The marketing on the box felt a little cheap, like lots of images and looks typical of cheap Chinese imitation garbage, but this apparently isn’t that.I bought this to put in a 2017 Honda Pilot, replacing my 7 year old ROAV camera. This did not disappoint. Installation was breeze. I opted to use the optional ROVE hardwire kit (additional $30) to hard wire into my fuse box via the include fuse taps. I thought it would be more complicated but the instructions and the included fuse adapters cover 4 standard types of fuses used in most cars sold in America. The included fuse puller was essential to remove the fuses and the little tester was also essential. It had everything i need to get the job done.I highly suggest using ChatGPT to ask it to detail out a list of all your fuses, positions, labels, and whether or not the fuse it ACC or constant power. It returned and instant result, saving me hours of frustrating searching. For the 2017 Honda Pilot, there are 2 fuse boxes by the drivers feet, the larger box A with 42 fuses and the smaller box B with 7 fuses, A-G.For the Accessory power (yellow), i used the unused fuse slot 12 in Box A, and for the constant power, i used the 10A slot F fuse in the smaller fuse box B. Make sure to measure which side of the fuse slot is hot.I attached the ground wire to the bolt the emergency brake frame screws into the chassis with. After I got it all wired up, everything was erring out on my car’s dash panel. Simply unplugging the ground from the battery for 15 minutes resets all the computer stuff in the car and everything work perfectly. For wire routing, I stuffed the cord across the headliner and down the driver side front pillar. I mounted the wiring harness box on the frame with the included adhesive behind the hood release plastic cover.Everything is super hidden and protected. The rear camera cable I was able to route along the headliner back to the driver side back door, then fishtape back to center of the back window, through the rubber wire protectors and along the top to the rear window. Also don’t make the mistake I did and not read the instructions to use the clear films to put on the window before mounting the camera with the adhesives. This will help you if you ever need to remove the camera. But don’t use the film on the dotted part of your windshield by your rear-view mirror. The dash cam works flawlessly. What an improvement from my last one! The Rove App is intuitive, responsive, connected the first time. Viewing the videos within the app was quick and downloading them to my iphone 14 was pretty fast via the 5G wifi connection. It’s one click and about 10 seconds and the 1-minute video clips show up in my Photos app.The video quality is quite impressive as well. The front uses the STARVIS 2 IMX678 (true 4k, 3840×2160, 8.4MP, and better dynamic range) and the rear uses the STARVIS 2 IMX675 which is not 4K, really only 2K, 2616×1960, 5.12 MP. The front camera is a true 4K and the rear is 2K. The previous Rove R2-4K DUAL…. NON-PRO version is not a real 4K video, since it uses the IMX675 for the front. Don’t waste you time on that camera. Just get this camera instead, it’s worth the money, you might need to see that license plate in some incident, not worth it getting the cheaper one.I’ve already ordered a 2nd one for my other car. Everybody should have a dash cam these days. Too many liars and bad drivers out there. Also of note, I’ve emailed customer support several time when deciding on a purchase the they have been incredibly responsive, within hours not days. In some cases it was less than an hour. Also it seems they are US-based with is so helpful not having a communication issue. Having a company like this feels weird nowadays. I’ve accepted the fact that everything is made overseas these days, but customer service doesn’t have to be and Rove has delivered in this regard.I’ve only had it for less than a week and am super impressed with the image quality of the front camera, both during day and night, easily seeing license plates both during the day and night time.I appreciate the free 128GB SD card included, however with 2 cameras, one of which is 4K, that doesn’t give a ton of looped footage. So I expect to need to upgrade to a higher capacity. If you want that, go ahead and order a larger one now. Will update this review as time progresses to see how well it holds up. So far, 5 stars in every way!

ROVE Dash Cam system works really well.
So far, I am impressed! I have had the dash for a day now. Not very long but already the company that makes this product has been immensely helpful in getting me up and running. I had an issue with registering online and getting my phone app for the dash cam up and running. I dropped a note online about the problem that I was experiencing. I figured it would probably get resolved in a few days of email exchanges. Not five minutes after submitting the email to support did I get an email response and set up a phone connection to discuss and solve the issue. I am impressed that ROVE support was friendly, helpful and extremely courteous with an all thumbs tech guy like me.The system is running smoothly and I feel confident that I will be getting video from my dash cam when and if the situation occurs where it is truly needed.

ROVE R3-4K Dual Pro – Great Features
Product is nicely designed. Video quality is very good, both front and rear cameras. I took my time installing the wiring (optional 3-Lead Hardware Kit) and front and rear wiring, mainly understanding how the car was put together and panel removal without breaking anything! Download speed is quite reasonable. I installed the ROVE 512GB SD as an upgrade. The manual is very well put together with extensive descriptors of just about everything. I’m very pleased with this as a replacement for my 5 year old, front facing GARMIN dashcam.

Too expensive for the subpar video quality
This is a decent dash cam, has lots of nice features. But for the price point, the video quality isn’t all that great. The setup is quite easy, and it’s quite easy to install the cameras as well. There’s plenty of power cable for both the front and rear cameras; just tuck the wires in behind trim to keep it out of the way. The suction cup holds onto the windshield very well, I had no issues with it separating from the glass. It’s a good-sized camera, easy to see the screen. I did notice that it reflects a lot of light & glare, nearly looking like a mirror sometimes. The included SD card is a nice bonus. All in all, it’s not worth the money, as there are better options with better video quality for a lot less money.

Great video quality and easy to use dashcam.
I purchased this dash cam for my 2023 Dodge Challenger. It has great video quality and the app and set up is very easy to do. It took about an hour to fully install the front and rear camera and run and hide all the wire in the headliner. I am using the 12v adaptor for power since i do not need the parking mode. I always park in the garage. I did not use the suction cup mount. I normally don’t have much success with those types of mounts and I don’t want it falling maybe causing damage to something. I used the 3m mount with electrostatic film. My only complaint is I wish the 3m tape for mounting was black instead of white. It can be scene clearly outside of the vehicle on both the front and rear camera mounts. I would have deducted 1/2 a star for that. I think this is a great dash cam. With the amount of road rage on the highways it’s worth the purchase. Also it would be great if you were ever in an accident and there were no other witnesses on what actually happened to playback to the officer.GPS works great, very easy to use on the dash cam or on the app, and plenty of cable length to complete the job. This dash cam is well worth the purchase.

Excellent customer service
Excellent product and customer service. I had trouble getting the rear camera to display and contacted Rove customer service. They were quick to reply and guided me through trouble shooting. When we decided the rear camera was the problem, they sent replacement cameras before receiving my return shipment. This is the level of customer service every vendor should have.

Quality
The camera may work well. There is much misinformation. For instance, they are supposed to state the need for hardware for 24-hour parking monitoring clearly. The power cable they provide has a USB-A connector at one end and a USB-C connector at the other. They just advertised a USB-C cable connector. For my opinion an expensive dashcan should have better option.
