    Very Nice Upgrade
I had the original Ring Pro wired doorbell before this upgrade, purchased in 2018. I do notice an improvement in low light performance. When in full infrared night mode I can see more than I could before. If I turn on my front lights the camera goes back into color mode which is nice. Resolution is better overall as well as when when zooming in on the app. Vertical angle is wider so now I can see my steps right up to the door which is nice for seeing delivered packages. The horizontal angle is slightly smaller but not enough to bother me. I can still see my entire driveway. I also purchased a Ring downward angled wedge to get a full view of our steps. This camera also lets you know if it sees a person, vehicle or package. Overall I am impressed with this camera. I think it’s worth the upgrade, especially if you have an older Ring Pro like I had.

    Amazing product & video quality
We recently upgraded our Ring doorbell to this one and are super happy with the purchase. The doorbell was super easy and quick to setup and it works amazingly. The motion detection part of it is nice. Our old one used to go off at every little thing. This new Pro model doesn’t alert you for every little leaf that blows. The coolest feature I like about the Pro version is that it picks up the movement and alerts you about that but it also still records the rest of the times without making it at alert. The Pro model is definitely worth it for the security and for the price. I would highly recommend buying this model over any of the other ones.

    Love the 4K resolution.
Crystal clear images and of course video. Head to toe is true to form. I see the arch way top leading to my front door. Night vision is excellent. Even picks up two cats that frequent my front lawn almost daily. .I do have it on the side wall with a wedge to capture the approaching angle. It’s wired and that’s where the wire connects. Easy to install. I am handy with installing devices but follow instructions and anyone can do it. Even the ring chime that comes with it for the interior doorbell sound was easy to install. Also walks with chime pros. Set up in app.

excellent video quality but awkward doorbell chime accessory.
excellent video quality, easy installation with good instructions and fast setup. My on ly complaint is that I was replacing a 1st gen Ring video doorbell and the doorbell chime from that version is NOT compatible with this new version. I had to open the doorbell chime bot and remove the old hardware and wiring adapters, and thread the wires for the new chime through the chime box grate for exterior mounting. This was a time-consuming process with an ugly result.

    Would recommend
Replaced our NEST doorbells and are pleased. Very good field of vision and night vision. Easy installation and set up. No issues with wi-fi. Note this model no longer works with a indoor chime, a separte electronic(one note) chime(Chime Kit mini) is included and attaches to your existing indoor chime, however you do not have to use it. Chime Kit mini attaches to your indoor chime same as the transformers of the previous RING models.Ended up attaching the Chime kit mini to the outside of the chime box and then placed a decorative cover over all.AI is fairly accurate and prompts are timely. Detection distant is about 30 feet with Birds Eye view on and about 35 to 40 with the feature turned off. There are three plans with the highest at 19.99 a month which includes AI. Would recommend this product. App is easy to understand and use, but note the app will not work with a VPN.

    This Is A Major Upgrade
I originally had the 1st Gen Wired Ring Doorbell Plus and it worked great and still did not have an issue (Was mounted for 5 years). When I saw this new model, and read about its specs, I decided to purchase it. Keep in mind my older model was still function great. Once i had it installed and configured, the quality of the lens was amazing. It out surpassed the 1st Gen version. It was simple to install, wire and mount the unit and I did not have to make any modifications. My entire home is covered by Ring cameras, base station and motion sensors and this added to the security of my home. This device was a bit pricey, and if its durability is like the 1st Gen, then it was worth it.

Doorbell & video quality are great, Chime Mini is a joke, and doesn’t support mechanical chime
As a longtime user of the Video Doorbell Pro 1st Gen (and dozens of other Ring products), I expected this 3rd Gen model to be a major upgrade in every way. While that’s true for the video quality and design of the doorbell itself, I’m disappointed that this latest version no longer supports the existing mechanical doorbell chime in my home (despite what it said on the product information page) and instead includes a Chime Mini speaker that mounts outside the doorbell chime case, looks silly, and sounds worse than a cheap kids’ toy.Ring should warn customers up front that this version does not support a mechanical chime — and for the price, should include the Ring Chime plug-in speaker (which sounds much better and offers different chime tones with volume control).Ignore the instructions and DON’T install the Chime Mini. Instead, use a Ring Chime 3rd Gen OR if you have Echo devices, you can use them to announce doorbell tones/alerts instead.

    Amazing
What a disaster. I switched everything from Google / Nest because of problems and it seems like Ring is even more unreliable. I heard someone ring my doorbell because I’m in a small 900 square ft apartment and the ring website couldn’t load the camera after refreshing the page several times, I had to run to the door and talk to my mail person who had a question for me, then I went back to my computer and tried to load the event and it captured no motion, didn’t even register that the doorbell was rang, and so I switched to 24/7 recording to prevent this from happening, and it won’t load anything. The ring health app says everything is fine and I have a strong -60RSSI on the 2.4GHz network. Also I have an Eero wifi max 7 router so everything should be working great. Also my indoor chime isn’t working and I connected the chime wires to the chime device that Ring supplied with the 2 wiring nuts.Update: My 2.4Ghz signal was too low. I added another Eero wifi max 7 to my house and now the doorbell works amazingly. Much much much better than the nest it replaced.
