Solid and excellent value for the price
I’ve been toying with picking up one of those aluminum MacBook dock/holders for years to use at home… but they typically sell for $50 or so and are not adjustable. This means that every other year when I upgrade I have to buy a new stand, never mind the difficulty finding one that will accept a MacBook w/ any kind of case on it. These stands are solid aluminum and nicely weighted to prevent tipping. I have my 2018 MacBook Air and my wife’s 2015 MacBook Pro each in their own stand and they work great! The adjustments are quick and easy using the included Allen wrench also.Update 09/15/2023: I had given my OMOTON dock to my grandparents a couple years ago when I had to ditch my desk setup. Since COVID happened, I now have a dedicated home office and recently purchased and Apple Studio Display to use with my new 14″ M2 MacBook Pro. Well, went through the present-day “name brand” MacBook docks once more… And ended up right back at another OMOTON haha. Seriously, this sucker is half the price of the competition and basically “infinitely” adjustable. I even tried it on my wife’s 13″ MacBook Air and it still worked (albeit with a tiny amount of play as the MacBook Air is so thin). But it’s nice and snugly adjusted to the MacBook Pro sitting on my desk it matches the Studio Display quite nicely and above all, this holder is rock solid! Our cat has not figured out how to knock this one over, so that’s one heck of an endorsement haha. STILL highly recommended!! **Update picture attached to review

Perfect for MacBook Pro!
This is the coolest stand for your MacBook Pro! It’s such a different way to store your device, but I feel it really turns your idle computer into almost a decoration, of sorts. I know you are probably worried that your MacBook will get scratched while using this stand by putting it in and taking it out of the stand. Well, DON’T! The way this stand is made, there is virtually no way that your MacBook will get even a small scratch from putting it in and taking it out of this stand. There are pieces of silcone on the inside of the part of the stand that comes into contact with your MacBook, so it grips it and keeps it from slipping, while also being soft enough to keep friction from scratching your device. If you have it configured right (like I do), then it easily slides in and out of the stand, but it firmly holds it in place at the same time. If you’re wanting something different, to show off your MacBook, or to get it out of the way when it’s not in use, then this stand is your answer!It even saved my MacBook from disaster. I knocked over a glass on my desk and spilled my drink all over the place, but since my MacBook was in the stand, not a single drop of liquid was able to touch it at all. The bottom of the stand has a thick rubber grip that keeps it firmly in place, so even when my desk was wet, the stand was in no danger of sliding around. In my opinion, this is a must have for any MacBook owner that prides themselves in taking care of their things. You won’t find anything else that beats this stand, and it is absolutely worth every penny. It isn’t some cheaply made stand because as soon as you pick it up, the weight alone tells you that it is a high quality product. It’s hefty, and you won’t have any issue trusting it to hold your extremely expensive computer. You will trust it fully, I promise you!

Perfect for my Alienware 17 R3 gaming setup
Works perfect for my Alienware 17 R3! As seen in the video in my review, it’s very sturdy and doesn’t budge. Notice how my external monitor wobbled but the stand was firm and didn’t move at all, even when I purposely tried to “wiggle” my laptop. I do have it leaning slightly due to the pointed end of the screen, but it’s not too noticable and looks fine.Definitely recommend it, just don’t forget to change the monitor output to the external one only in display settings instead of having it set to mirror display or extend. This turns the laptop screen off (Windows 10). Getting it to work without having to open the laptop and hitting the power button was tricky, as waking with mouse/keyboard doesn’t work when the lid is closed even with proper settings. First set laptop to “do nothing” when the lid is closed so it doesn’t go to sleep automatically. Next reboot into the bios, and enable “wake on USB.” Make sure the mouse or keyboard or wireless mouse/key receiver is plugged into the right side usb port, not left ones by power cord input. I had to place 2 of the non magnet side metal parts off a work name badge on the right side of the laptops monitor so it would “block” the magnet that triggers lid closed, see pictures but feel free to get creative with this part, tried other metals like coins and they don’t work. Also be careful not to place something too thick or it can break the screen when you shut it. Do not use the magnet part of the name badge magnet or it will mess up the laptop! (I believe you can buy these on Amazon, do a quick search 🙂 I’ll post a pic of the part I’m referring to. Once this is all done properly you should be able to use this stand to vertical mount your Alienware 17 R3 and sleep mode it with the ability to wake it without opening the lid.

Great, no inherent design flaws
It is stable enough and feels solid. If you bump your desk I wouldn’t be concerned about your laptop and instead your other things. It fits my macbook a little loose but it is still secure thanks to the material inside the dock. It does tip a little if you press the laptop over but overall I do think it is great for the price.

Il prodotto è funzionale, riesce bene a fare ciò per cui l’ho comprato. Riesce a tenere su un 13 pollici molto bene. Il supporto è stabile, la gomma sotto da una buona aderenza. La gomma è presente anche tra le alette, in modo da non graffiare i dispositivi.Mi ha consentito di risparmiare spazio su una scrivania piccola.Consegna veloce. Mi ha soddisfatto.

I was hesitant because I saw a review that this stand scratched their desk and laptop. After recieving the product I have no idea how that person managed to get any scraches from this stand. Its nicely milled, and there are no sharp edges. Even if you were to put your entire body weight on it and slide it across the desk, you wouldnt be able to be cause the rubber padding has excellent grip. I was very happy with the product I recieved. Took less than 2 minutes to adjust and has a nice rubbing padding on the surfaces that touch the desk and laptop. Very helpful in cleaning up desk space. 10/10
