Fixed our internet dead spots
The system, although was the cheaper of the models, work very well for our situation. The set up was not that difficult, even for us (old people) I would recommend you give them some consideration if you are setting up a home network.

Great Mesh style router for large homes
Been using Netgear products since they got big into routers and switches. My old Netgear Nighthawk is still going strong after 10 years. Though I was really temped to replace the current Nghthawk router. I found out this orbi system, the router itself doesn’t have enough LAN ports for my needs where the router is sitting inside the house and the 2x 16 POE switches are sitting inside a enclosure inside the garage. So this router have to set outside along with the 2x 16 port POE switches. I tried to hook main orbi router to the current Nighthawk but was getting a device error on the setup. Also with the two devices antennas sitting so close to each other. I was getting pretty poor performance compare to before.Luckily for me, all the rooms inside my home have 2 to 3 RJ-45 port inside the wall and is all connected to the switch. So once I determined the perfect location. I end up placing the router in the bedroom upstairs and the two satellites downstairs and garage. Setup was again, pretty easy with the app and instead replacing the current hardware and router with this. I added this orbi system and made it a secondary Wifi AP.The size of these “nodes” is about size of a 40 ounce drink. The router has 2x RJ45 LAN port and each satellites has 1 each in the back of the device. Setup was a breeze with no hardware issues. For the price it is great for those who wants to expand the coverage of their existing WiFi coverage whether it’s for a home or business. Though I haven’t really stress this router yet but so far with 3 gaming machines, 5 TV’s, 20 Wifi enable light switches, 5 POE cameras and 4 radio hot spots. She has been rock solid without any slow in speed. So overall the customization options on this setup is great as with a laptop or my radios. There’s a hand over that seems to be seamless and haven’t notice or see any high pings or latency. Again, these size of this router and the 2 satellites are about 6 inch in diameter and 8 inches tall. Perfect to hide it discreetly in or around the bookshelf or corner of the room.I will update this review again at later time and update on the longevity and stability of the orbi. But overall, I’m happy with it being setup as a secondary access point.

Orbi 360 or 370?
I have owned two earlier Netgear Orbi mesh systems as well as numerous stand-alone Netgear WiFi routers. I’ve spent the last few days installing, testing, and researching this Orbi 360 system. The big question for me is how this Orbi 360 is different from the Orbi 370 which just recently hit the market as the low end of Netgear’s new WiFi 7 lineup. I was already researching the 370 because it was receiving good marks from reliable professional reviewers. As of writing this review, I have been unable to find any technical difference between the 360 and 370. The specifications appear to be the same. One week ago there was absolutely no mention of this product on the Netgear website. Now there is a little bit more available on the support side. It is possible that it is the same product, but with a different number especially for certain large retailers. This has been done in the past.As for the Orbi 360 and its performance, I give it five stars with a few caveats. This is the lowest WiFi 7 mesh offering from Netgear, and that is good because many of these systems are extremely costly. But to bring it in at this price point there are a few optimizations. The two big ones are: only a single LAN port on the router (plus a WAN port) and each satellite, and a dual band rather than tri-band system. So far, these optimizations are not causing me trouble. I would prefer to have at least three LAN ports on the router, one for each of the satellite backhauls, and one heading out to my main network switch. The single LAN port is 2.5Gb/s, which is more than most home networks can handle at the moment, but gives a little future proofing. The 2.5Gb/s WAN port is actually useful now because many ISP modems are already equipped with them. This allowed my router to have a speed jump from the ISP, formerly limited by my old router’s 1Gb/s WAN port. As for the dual band vs tri-band, if you are running backhauls to the satellites, that mitigates the lack of a third band.I would be tempted by the Orbi 770 because it does not have the above shortcomings. It would be nice to have those extra 2.5Gb/s LAN ports (three on the router, two on each satellite). But all that comes at twice the price. I’m not sure I would notice a performance difference on my network. The setup and software for these routers will be familiar to anyone who has dealt with Netgear before. I do not use the app because I don’t want another app and I don’t want to sign in to another app account. I much prefer the web interface going in via orbilogin.local. If you have not set up a mesh network before, I counsel patience. It can be a slow process just to get the Netgear equipment running and fully updated. There is a lot of back and forth talking that needs to happen. As these pieces come on line, it can take time for your existing equipment to be recognized. You often need to power-cycle your various devices. This can take a few hours, with the worst offenders on my network being the 2.4Ghz smart home devices that I’ve got here and there. The problem really is not on the Netgear side. This latest series of mesh routers has a special IoT network that can operate alongside your main network and your guest network. The IoT network operates only in the 2.4Ghz band because that is where most cheap IoT devices live, and it allows you to have lower encryption standards because many IoT devices don’t play well with WPA3. For your main and guest network you can then require WPA3. Yes, that does leave a portion of your WiFi at a lower standard, but that is better than downgrading the entire network to WPA2/WPA3.As for coverage, this two satellite set is supposed to cover 6,000 square feet. I’ve got a location that is less than half that but has lots of masonry, real plaster (which blocks like masonry) and tile floors. This Orbi system overcomes the dead zones.I can easily recommend this system as among the most budget friendly WiFi 7 mesh networks available. I do like Netgear. I don’t trust the main competition around which there is some suspicion of complicity/vulnerability to nation state intelligence services.

Whole-Home WiFi That’s Lightning-Fast and Effortless
The NETGEAR Orbi 360 WiFi 7 system takes home networking to the next level — it’s powerful, secure, and ridiculously easy to set up. With the router and two extenders working together, it blankets up to 6,000 sq. ft. in strong, stable coverage, perfect for large homes or multi-floor layouts. What I likedThe jump to WiFi 7 is instantly noticeable — speeds up to 5 Gbps mean 4K streaming, gaming, and video calls all run without a hiccup, even with 60+ devices connected. The dual-band enhanced backhaul keeps data flowing smoothly, and the 2.5 Gb Ethernet port unlocks ultra-fast fiber or cable speeds. I also appreciate the built-in security, including automatic firmware updates and router protection — a real plus for peace of mind.Good to knowThe Orbi app setup is intuitive — just plug in the units, follow the quick guide, and you’re online in minutes. Its modern matte design blends beautifully with any décor, no more bulky, blinking boxes. And since it’s backward-compatible, older devices connect easily without drops.Bottom lineThe Orbi RBE363 delivers next-gen WiFi 7 performance with elegant looks and rock-solid reliability. If you want consistent coverage, faster speeds, and simple control in one premium mesh system, this is the upgrade that truly transforms your home network.
