3. Ensure that you have a dedicated 2.4GHz Wi-Fi until the setup is successful.
Why do the bulbs keep disconnecting?
1. Make sure your Wi-Fi is set to 2.4GHz, not 5GHz. Reset the bulbs and router if needed.
2. Temporarily change your Wi-Fi encryption to WPA2, do not use WPA3 only.
3. Create a new home in the Home app and use it to set up the accessory.

Easy install, great product
Had no issues with the bulbs, dropped them a few times and they never broke. Super easy to install it’s just like a regular bulb. Remote control works from outside the room and I never experienced any issues with flickering or the bulb going out.

Very Easy to setup the Meross app guided me to HomeKit and I had the lights setup with 15 minutes and it was great. I love the fact the I can not only change the brightness but I can change the colors which is really nice when watching movies.

Glitchy/Defective Products, Terrible Customer Service
UPDATE 4/26/24Another message from Meross “customer service” asking me to try even more to continue to troubleshoot the issues I’ve outlined below, and after trying for HOURS to resolve the situation, I’m finally giving up. Meross is obviously going to do everything possible to avoid replacing the faulty product or providing a refund, opting instead to try to exhaust customers into just giving up altogether and considering their situations a loss. So be it, I can do this, but I firmly believe potential customers need to be aware of the fact that should they experience similar issues as mine, this is how the manufacturer/seller is going to handle their situation. My advice? Keep your packaging so that you can exercise the Amazon A to Z guarantee and hope your issues manifest within that 30 day return window – it is the only possible resolution you will get.UPDATE 4/23/24I was contacted by a representative of Meross to attempt to troubleshoot the issues I’m experiencing with these bulbs. I took all steps suggested to try, and nothing resolved the symptoms. A couple of days later, I was offered a refund for my purchase of these bulbs. I accepted the offer, and the very next night (I’m assuming like many companies, customer service is located overseas so replies don’t come until the middle of the night if you’re in the USA), now I’m being asked to troubleshoot even more – meaning the offer to refund for the faulty products is no longer on the table. Shady. I’ve had everything from wifi issues suspected by their customer service (despite literally just replacing my entire home network equipment with Mesh 6 devices by Deco a week ago) to resetting bulbs (which doesn’t work and is time consuming) to blaming Apple Home, even though the Meross app itself is even buggier and has more glitches than Home could ever dream of.Overall, I am very disappointed with this situation and how it has played out from the start. Should something positive eventually come out of this scenario, I will update again, but as of now, I’m assuming there’s going to be no successful resolution to the problem at hand and I’m still going to have to find another viable – RELIABLE – alternative. Original review follows.ORIGINAL REVIEWI decided to change my home over to Apple Home Kit versus previous all-Alexa after Alexa continued to experience issue after issue after issue. This meant EVERYTHING in my home needed to change – light bulbs, lamps, smart plugs, cameras, literally everything. (Alexa REALLY made me mad when things would continue to go offline, stop responding, alerts would lock up hubs and devices, etc., so the expense and time was/is justified to me.)I found these highly-rated Meross smart bulbs and thought, “Here we go, something that is Apple Home compatible, so this should be easy and straightforward.” I was right about that – I initially ordered 20 of these, then on the same day ordered even more. (I have a LOT of lights in my house.)The first few days were great, except that Home keeps changing light color and intensity in the app. For some reason it can’t seem to remember settings in automations, and I’m not sure if that’s an issue with Home or Meross. But that’s not even the worst part. The worst part is that a few more days into it, and for some reason the WiFi chips in these bulbs seem to just stop working. You will get a notification in Home that the device has stopped responding, and removing it from Home and the Meross app itself and trying to re-add it doesn’t resolve the problem. The bulbs still get power just fine, but they absolutely will not connect to the network.After experiencing this with 8 (yes, EIGHT) of the bulbs I bought a few days ago, I have to consider this is a design flaw, which is not only inconvenient, but EXPENSIVE. I thought that in order to get the Home Kit certification you had to provide a better product than this, but apparently QC measures aren’t adhered to once certification is obtained.Now I will have to go back to the drawing board and find a better option, especially if my attempts at reaching out to Meross and this candid review illicit no offer to replace my defective items.

I love them and they just work!
So far they have been great! I had some others that used a general app and I upgraded my entire home network and could not for the life of me get my other smart bulbs to connect to my new network and having other Meross products already (smart plugs, smart garage door opener remote) that just worked and connected right away and connected with Alexa right off the bat with zero issues, decided to give these a go and they just worked. I had them all working, connected to Alexa, within minutes. And they are brighter and more vibrant than the other bulbs I had. Work great, look great. I’m super happy. Meross is defiantly my go to now. They just work.

I bought several of these back in 2021, and they still work just as well as the day I got them, even though I rarely turn some of them off! The housing and diffuser haven’t shown any signs of cracking or degradation despite near-constant use. They’re genuinely fun to use and have been compatible with every IoT platform and device I’ve tried so far.One standout feature is the impressive automation flexibility offered by the Meross app. You can even configure them to have a timed auto-shut off without Internet or WiFi, all though you must have be on a local network to configure this setting on the device. The app supports a wide range of conditional options for automation. For example:From: Sunset to SunriseIf: Lamp A is off and Lamp B’s brightness is between 5% and 15%Then: Run scene “Movie Time – After Sundown” → Delay 2 hours → Set Lamps A, B, C, and D to amber at 45% brightnessYou can also schedule lamp states to trigger a certain amount of time before or after sunset or sunrise, which adds even more flexibility.I’ve had a blast experimenting with different setups. I’ve even built basic logic gates using these lights, the app’s automation features, and wall switches in my home. It’s way more powerful than I expected. Best of all, Meross is still actively updating the app and maintaining device support years later.Good IoT manufacturers should build devices that support open-source ecosystems and retain basic functionality without forcing the use of proprietary apps. Meross appears to be one of those companies, and that’s why I’m happy to keep using and recommending their products.

OK Price, but some issues
I bought this to use with Home Assistant and Apple home because older TP-Link bulbs were no longer supported by HA. These bulbs were difficult to install. It took many times to get them to setup using the Meross app. They do not have a soft on/off feature. And the temp cannot be adjusted to a specific kelvin value making it difficult to match temps on multiple bulbs. The TP-Links did all of this. Too bad they stopped working with Home Assistant.

Los focos se ven de buena calidad, son un poco menos pesados que los focos LEDs de otras marcas, al ponerlos en blanco te darás cuenta que no sirven como iluminación principal pues son algo tenues, por lo que es recomendado utilizarlos en lámparas o luces de acentuación, la gama de colores es bastante buena y responden de inmediato, configurarlo con HomeKit es bastante fácil aunque en ocaciones no tanto por lo que tienes que reiniciarlo y reintentar la configuración, una vez configurado todo funciona perfectamente, en un principio no confiaba en dispositivos controlados por WiFi, pero he quedado algo impresionado, en fin buen producto para utilizar con HomeKit! 🙂

Metros are extraordinarily easy to setup, compatible with Apple HomeKit and works with Alexa.Installation from Apple Hone, consists of scanning QR code directly on the bulb. And working 1st time!!!!Drastic improvement over replacent LE lights which were a nightmare to install, constantly loosing Wifi connections every 2-3 days. Taking 30 mins to reset, reinstall, detecting, not connecting. Awfull.Greatly recommend Merros product!

Es muy buen producto, el brillo que tiene es genial, los colores que maneja están padrisimos aunque no es una gran gama si es suficiente, tienes que bajar su app primero, hacer cuenta con meross y después bajar skill conalexa y emparejar creo que le falta mucho en ese aspecto tomando en cuenta que compran esas luces para hacerce la vida fácil, pero la configuración mis padres no la podrían hacer, deben de mejorar mucho ese aspecto de configuración!!Si los necesitas para Apple asegúrate que te los envíen con el code QR necesario.
