Fantastic Smart Lock – Easy Install and Works Great!
I’ve been using this for about three weeks, and it’s my first-ever smart lock. I was most worried about installation, especially since I was replacing both an old handle and a separate deadbolt. The extra-long panel on this lock covered both holes perfectly, which was a huge relief. The whole unit feels really high-quality and durable; it’s solid and not flimsy at all. The best feature is the fingerprint reader—it is incredibly fast and recognizes my print almost instantly. Setting up the app connectivity was also straightforward, and I love being able to manage passcodes for my family right from my phone. For a first-time user, this was surprisingly easy to set up and has been working flawlessly. Very satisfied with this purchase!

Excellent electronic lock that is easy to install and has a great fingerprint reader
I bought this lock after another one failed after only a month. The build construction is superior to the other unit I bought. Installation was very straightforward. I think the wire connecting the inside and outside units would easily fit with through a single hole, but if you have a double hole door already install is very, very quick. The electronic functions also operate better (at least after the first month of use). The fingerprint reader picks up nearly every time, whereas the first unit often failed to read my fingerprint. The iPhone app is well designed and relatively easy to use. The physical key is a bit large for a lockbox and a unique shape; it seems almost impossible to duplicate – I am grateful for the five copies. I was able to quickly register my four existing smart cards from the old unit. The five new smart cards also easily synced up with an electronic lock I use on our ski locker. A great experience so far!

My kids each have their own fingerprint access, which means no more worrying about lost keys. I also love that I can create temporary codes for the dog sitter—it only takes a moment, and I don’t have to hand over a physical key.It offers so many ways to unlock (fingerprint, passcode, fob, and even the traditional key), which adds so much flexibility. The lock also keeps a record of every entry, so I always know who’s coming and going.The design is sleek and modern, and it looks fantastic on the front door. It runs on 4 AA batteries that last a really long time, and the app even lets you know when they’re getting low. Simple to install
This item was a no hassle install. Everything worked as stated in the manual. There’s however is a region issue when it comes to verifying my Barbados phone number. The handles could be a bit more sturdy as it kind of feels loose when operating. The finger print feature works excellent.

Defective Manufacturing
When I went to install my new Nyboer Smart Lever Plus, it quickly became evident that that shaft of the handle was not going to fit into the latch mechanism. It would only push in a little ways and not go any further. So, I tried inserting the shaft from the opposite direction. The shaft got stuck and would neither go in or come out. I had to pound it out with a hammer and totally destroyed the inner latch mechanism.. I have installed plenty of door handles in my day, and I have never not been able to achieve a successful outcome. I give this product a huge thumbs down.I have an update on this product and it’s manufacturer…… Nyboer reached out to me to inquire as to what my complaint was and how they could rectify the situation. SO, I told them about the troubles I had experienced trying to install the lock, and how I was forced to, basically, destroy the inner mechanism to get it out of my door and reinstall the original lock. tHey said that was not a problem and they would send me a new mechanism. But, i had to admit, and sadly report that I was afraid they they would blame me for destroying the lock and not do anything to help me, so in an effort to come up with a plausible reason to send me a new unit, I had pulled the wiring clip off and the the old one was irreversibly damaged. to my shock, they said that they perfectly understood the predicament and said that they would indeed send me a brand new unit, if I provided them with my mailing address. So, I was only too happy to comply and anxiously awaited my new lock to arrive to see if, indeed it was just a manufacturing defect or if the new lock would also prove to be a challenge to install. To my utter delight, when the new unit arrived in the mail, the first thing that I checked was to see if the square metal shaft would fit into the latch mechanism, and it went in without any problems. I am happy to say that it was a successful installation, and the product is truly a marvel! I could not be more pleased with my new Nyboer Smart Lock, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking safety, security, and ease of entrance into their home. I sincerely thank Nyboer, from the bottom of my heart, for aking things right and ensuring that I am indeed a very happy and satisfied customer!
