Pleasant surprise
My Sonos speakers finally quit after 12 years. Wasn’t looking to break the bank replacing them. This little guy was $79 dollars and I’m very happy with it. Sound is good, I use it in a large kitchen and it fills the room nicely. If you’re an audiophile this isn’t your speaker. If you’re looking for everyday sound with other functionality, I would absolutely give this a try.

Great sound
Sounds very good, this nest audio fills a room easily with clear sound. It replaced a nest mini in the kitchen and its better sound. Nest mini is great for personal, small spaces. Smart functions are the same between nest mini and audio

Extremely disappointing
I’ve been using this speaker for about a week and I’ve been disappointed at every turn. Specifically, it seems like whatever version of Google assistant it is using is significantly worse than what’s available on my phone. It constantly struggles to understand what I am asking for with anything more complicated than setting timers. Additionally, the home automation features, which was the main reason I purchased this speaker in the first place, seem to only work 30% of the time. Even something as simple as playing a Spotify playlist as my alarm in the morning seems to be impossible. I’ve spent hours trying to troubleshoot this, and from what I’ve been able to find online it seems to be a known issue that I can’t do anything about. You could probably get a better Bluetooth speaker for less money that has about the same functionality.
