Great lock if you don’t want to carry around keys
Works very well. Fingerprint recognition is nearly instant. Very easy to program. We upgraded to the Eufy E31 from the U-Loq fingerprint deadbolt, and this a tremendous upgrade.

Great smart lock
I have been using smart locks for years, and this is my third. The Eufy replaced an August lock, so that will be the direct comparison.The August just replaced the inside portion, so reused the deadbolt mechanism. This Eufy replaces the entire unit, which has both advantages and disadvantages. If you’re a renter, or want/need to maintain the existing key, leaving the existing deadbolt is preferred. However, replacing the entire mechanism, like the Eufy does, allows for more features, like the included keypad and fingerprint reader. For the August, the keypad was an add on.The Eufy also included wifi built-in, where with the August it was a separate component that was plugged in near the lock. While that requires more batteries for the Eufy, I prefer the all-in-one solution.The other advantage of the Eufy replacing the entire mechanism is how much more positive and direct the lock feels when locking/unlocking it manually. The August would sometimes get out of sync, and when turning the lock knob by hand, it would engage the motor and you would be turning that, too. The motorized locking is also more precise, and quieter, on the Eufy.The last advantage is really only for those already using Eufy. Having it integrated with the camera app is great. If you have a camera at the entry, you can locl/unlock the door from the same screen as viewing the camera.The fingerprint scanner works great, and is faster and easier than using a code. The one complaint I have is in the app. If you add codes for people like pet sitters, cleaning people, etc., you are limited in terms of how you allow them to use the lock. It’s either always or scheduled. And you can’t change that without removing the code and adding it back. You also can turn a code on and off. You have to remove it and add it. That’s annoying and an inexcusable oversight. Hopefully that will be addressed at some point, but I don’t have high hopes.

overall very please with my purchase
This lock works well and the app is easy to set up and use. I chose the Eufy E31 for my front door and the C33 for the door between my garage and laundry room because I wanted both to use the same app. The Eufy combination offered me all the functionality I was looking for at a better price than other brands. The fingerprint recognition on the E31 is ok but the positioning of the sensor makes it difficult to get a read every time. On the C33 it works perfectly because the design of the handle makes your thumb land naturally in the right place every time. I also have trouble locking the door after leaving the house but I’ve solved that by setting the auto lock function to 5 seconds. Overall I’m pleased with the two locks I bought. Easy to install and set up after getting past step 1 – prepare the door. Be aware the battery really does take 6-7 hours to charge.

Great smart lock
So far good. I would say the lever can be less flimsy but it works always. The battery notification is helpful and the auto lock function works well too. Installation is fairly easy, just follow the instructions. However i have to say it is difficult ish to get the seal to properly seal the lock against the door for weatherproofing it. For the price, this is an excellent smart home lock that you can open/close from anywhere. No additional subscription needed. I actually used this to replace my schlage. The schlage build quality is nicer but i don’t think it’s 8x nicer compared to this.

I love this thing! I had the Level lock before this one. The Level lock one was okay. Battery life was crap. You had three options to lock (key, NFC from the app, and an nfc magnet).The Eufy E31 is so much better. Rechargeable battery!! This battery is huge. I can use the app, fingerprints, PIN code, or a physical key to lock unlock.Definitely recommend.

decent lock. finger print reader is very accurate and fast. procedure of fixing the lock to the door is pretty simple. build quality is ok for the price, could have been better. the lock/unlock motor makes a little more sound than i had expected, not very smooth. battery seems to be good, haven’t checked though how long it lasts between charging. I am not sure, but i wish this was available in brushed nikel finish.overall a worthy product !!

This was a replacement for an older Yale Lock which stopped working mechanically. Simple installation and everything fit just right. Following set up instructions in the app also worked well and connection to Matter and the Apple HomeKit were seamless.

Very easy install and seems to be good quality. I have other Eufy products and I’m very happy with this brand and their customer service is excellent. The only issue is that it has some trouble with reading the finger prints of some of my other family members in the house, I’m not sure why, so I knocked off one star for this reason. I also like that it will notify me when the battery gets low, which our previous lock didn’t do and caused some trouble for us getting back in the house.
