Finally! A great robot vacuum for me
I’ve owned a Roomba i3 and an Eufy 11s for the past 6 years or so.Recently both died and I need a replacement. I mop my own floors so I just needed a vacuum. We have 3 shedding dogs. Also we live in the country, so even though we remove our shoes we get a good amount of sand and dust on the floors and carpetsI adored my Eufy 11S. It was a workhorse.I second guessed buying another Eufy after reading reviews. As a result I’ve gone through 4 different robot vacuums in the last 6 weeks. All higher rated than the Eufy L60 SES. I returned each of themOne had little suction and left fur balls all o er my carpet. Plus connecting to the internet was a nightmare. And this is a well known (rock) robotThe other 3 had a host of issues all relating to suction/ hair pickup. The lack of itFinally I bought this Eufy L60 and I am extremely happy with it.It connected easily to my internet. (others didn’t)It is also a workhorse like my 11S was. Grabs that pet hair and sand / dust and does it quietly and quickly. It mapped quickly and easily. The others didn’t.The Eufy app works perfectly and easily. Again. The others did not. Maps disappeared, would select rooms to vacuum and they didn’t get vacuumed, their navigation annoyed the heck out of meFinally. I can relax. Select zones or rooms to clean and they are cleaned and cleaned well.I already know Eufy customer support is outstanding. So. I am a returned customer. I should have bought Eufy in the first place.

    Absolutely love Spazz!
I just received my robovac this afternoon, and let me tell ya: I already absolutely love it. I have named him Spazz, since the first time using him, he went in all sorts of seemingly random directions and was completely aggressive with ANYthing in his way. I’m talking full – bore, ram into it and push it.Then, as I realized, he was simply mapping his parameters and once he learned them (which didn’t take long) he just did his thing and went right back to the charging station and rested. Here is my feedback:1. I had a little trouble with the app. I tried logging in several different times with several different passwords and I kept getting a very cryptic message, that wasn’t even complete! Just a quick flash on my screen and I cannot for the life of me tell you HOW I ended up finally logging in. But I did and will never log out. Ever. Just in case.2. It took me a few tries (before I came to the conclusion that it was my error not the machine) to get Spazz to connect to the app. Little did I know that since the power station (some like it hot) is positioned relatively close to the Internet router already, I did not need to find it, but simply press the start/home buttons at the same time to reset the wifi and then connect to the app via bluetooth.3. I am assuming Bluetooth always needs to be on in order to control Spazz, but at night when my phone is charging I’ll turn it off and turn it back on in the morning. Not sure I like the idea of always having Bluetooth running since it is a battery drainer.4. I also am not a fan of allowing ANY thing to use my location, except GPS, but alas, if I want to control Spazz remotely (this unit did not come with a remote, btw) I am at the mercy of this requirement. I also have outdoor cameras by the same company, so they know my location already anyway I suppose.5. I like the suction Spazz has: he even picked up a sock that my boyfriend lacksidasically left on the floor. Which caused a red flashing error and the voice on the charging port yelled at me saying to clean the roller brush. So I flipped Spazz over and lo and behold, there was a sock halfway in and halfway out of the roller brush. Pulled it out and good as new. So, suction is AMAZING.6. Speaking of suction, he does a great job of getting up dog hair. I have 2 dogs, one with very thin hair and the other with a wiry undercoat and it is all gone within the cleaning time.7. And touching on that aspect, it really doesn’t take THAT long. Yes, it takes longer than I do BUT I also do not go in any kind of pattern like Spazz NOR do I go over the same area more than once. In essence, he is cleaning my floors better than I do and I’m kinda ticked about it.8. The fact that I can control how much suction he has using the app is great. Even though he features a BoostIQ, changing the suction depending on the material, I still like that I can get a more thorough cleaning using MAX. Does it use more battery? Yes. Does it clean more? Perhaps. Does it make me FEEL like it’s cleaning more? Absolutely.9. The mapping accuracy is indeed, well, accurate. I moved him upstairs to do my two bedrooms and the hallway and at first he was like, ‘uhhhh I haven’t been here yet. What’s going on? Where am I? Who are you?!’ but then he settled down and mapped out the areas just fine and went along his merry way.10. I have to de-snag him from cords every once in awhile and give him a little nudge transitioning from the downstairs hallway to the bathroom, but honestly once he learns his map, he avoids such obstacles and has even figured out how to get over the hump from the threshold in the bathroom. Basically lifts up and scales it like he’s climbing Mt. Everest, which to him, may seem like it.11. I like the fact that he empties himself and any hair caught on the brush is quickly razored away when he goes home. Yes it’s a bit noisy but it’s only for a minute and I’ll take that over needing to manually pull hair out like I have to in my regular vacuum. Not getting my hands all gross is a huge plus. And it really doesn’t seem like there is anything tangled in it anyway. I have long hair but I’m pretty adamant about getting it thrown away even though I know there’s some strands about.12. Spazz’s functionality is top – notch. Nothing has gone wrong, other than the few things with the app connection and the wayward sock incident, as it is now known as.13. The dogs do not seem to be bothered by him at all, just curious as to what this new thing is in their space and my male quickly dis-trusted Spazz to NOT suck up his favourite bone so he snaggled it up and went to another room. My female watched Spazz very intently, just in case he may actually have legs and feet and scurry away. Thankfully she did not try to bite him like she does with my regular vacuum!14. I have a robot trash can (motion sensour) in my kitchen and Spazz knocked into it while mapping and I told him ‘that is another robot. There better not be any interaction between the two of you and don’t even think about communicating.’ Only time will tell what transpires between them. If we don’t turn up for awhile, do a wellness check. If there’s a putrid odour, but the floors are clean and the garbage has been taken out, just know humanity has lost. For everyone complaining it is not immediately perfect right out the box: there IS a manual on line. Read it. Study it. Learn it. Embrace it. If you cannot find the time to actually READ something, watch a video since most people believe that because you watched a 3 minute video, you’re automatically brilliant and know everything about it. It will never be perfect in any way, shape or form. Remember, computers are only as smart as the person using them. Take some time to get to know your machine and HAVE PATIENCE!!

Roller brush errors on 2 units (Fixed with firmware update)
UPDATE: Upgrading to 4 stars.I’m happy to report that Eufy saw my review and offered to return and refund or pushthe firmware update. I chose the update and have run the unit 3 times since updating with ZERO roller brush errors! Hooray! They even responded to my questioning their not automatically pushing the firmware update when units are registered in the app (they say roller brush error isn’t universal & they don’t know if updating everything would mess up unaffected units…ok, I can accept that). Anyway, if you purchase the L60 and have repeated roller brush errors, the update seems to help. The update also appears to have improved the BoostIQ, and now it does a better job of adjusting suction when moving from carpet to hard floors. I’ve found the unit needs to return to base to recharge more frequently, but that’s not bothersome to me, as it does it on its own and completes the cleaning. For the price, this is a pretty good little robot vacuum. Now that I’m keeping her, I guess I’ll have to name her. After a month, I’m on the fence regarding this vacuum. It was a toss-up between 2 and 3 stars; I went with 3 because I don’t hate it. This is my second try at the L60. I returned the first one after a couple of days because it would give a roller brush error about every 4 minutes when there was absolutely nothing stuck in the brush. I tried Eufy customer support with mixed success (they’d diligently respond once daily, a different person each time, in the middle of the night) and eventually decided the easiest thing to do was to just exchange for a different unit through Amazon. I would strongly recommend anyone purchasing this vacuum make sure the seller they use allows returns through Amazon–some do not. All in all, it does a reasonably good job, isn’t overly noisy, the app is pretty intuitive, and it is at the lower end of the price range for a self-emptying robot. The current unit also gives me roller brush errors, but just once every vacuuming session, again, with nothing in the roller. This seems to be a recurring issue with this vacuum. From reading some forums, it appears some have had success contacting Eufy customer service and getting newer firmware downloaded to the unit. I haven’t tried that yet. I generally just check the app, and if (when) I see it has stopped, I just restart it from the app and it has (so far) finished the vacuuming session without further issue. The roller brush error is definitely annoying, but the month slipped away, and I’m outside the Amazon return window, so I’ll deal with it. I saved the box, so if I have to send it back to Eufy, at least I’ll have appropriate packaging.

We bought this for picking up cat hair in the house, and ended up buying a second to have one on each floor. You can find detailed reviews on Youtube. It is a simple robot vacuum with few functions, but seems to work well on our hard wood floors and their mats. It can operate with or without a cellphone app. We tend to carry it to the area that needs cleaning, then let it wander about. It does a serious job of cleaning, provided the floor is clear of junk.Over time it seems likely that brushes & filter will need replacing. You can find these sets on Amazon for a reasonable price. The app for this model (15C Max) only works with 2.4GHz networks, which probably explains the price reductions. However, for most applications the act of pressing the On button on the device or on the app are no different. The app gives access to different cleaning modes which might be useful on occasion, esp. if you want to run it when you are not around (not necessarily a good idea if your cat coughs up a fur ball). The manual mode only cleans in the default mode Auto (unless you have previously changed in using the app). Therefore, if you need the app, make sure your network is 2.4 GHz. (I have installed the app, but find I never use it.)After cleaning, dust and hair can be easily tipped from a cartridge at the side (daily). From time to time (weekly at least), the brushes need to be cleared of hair and fur (the tool provided helps with this), and the filter needs to be washed.I am quite pleased with it so far. If the motor lasts a couple of years, and the accessories do not need too much replacement, I will consider it an excellent purchase. Only time will tell.

My daughter bought this for me for Christmas. I used it and was so impressed I bought a second one for my lower level on the boxing week sales. It won’t fall down stairs idk how but it knows how to avoid them. It won’t get caught on big cords but small cords (like an iPhone charger will have to be picked up). And it will go up and over mats so you don’t have to pick them up. (Mats that are stationary) so if you can walk on them without them moving. Eg a kitchen foam rubber mat.It just runs on a pattern across the room in an up and down (horizontal or vertical) pattern that seems to pick everything up. Or you can set it to just spot clean an area.I have 2 cats and there was always cat hair on my hardwood floors no matter how often I tried to keep up with it. Now, with this running everyday I don’t see anymore cat hair.We put the second one on the bottom level and it runs in the cats room first where the litter boxes are and it completely picks up any spare litter that the cats paws leave behind when they come out of the litter box. (That litter gravel always seemed to get tracked around the house). Now I never see or feel any grit, so I’m not constantly sweeping.I love this thing!!No setting up, no setting or programming a pattern of your room for it to follow it just knows.I can’t say enough good things about it!You can wash the filter. I would recommend getting the spare parts kit that is available with it so you’ll have an extra filter and brush in case you need it.It is slightly noisy, nothing crazy but if I’m watching tv I do have to turn the tv up a bit when it comes into the room. (It is a vaccum after all).It will return to its base on its own. If you have multi levels just pick it up and put it on the next level or get a second one.For the price this thing is great!!I’d give this 20 out of 10!!!

The robot thoroughly sucks up the tiniest dust particles, which makes mopping post that super easy! I use it twice/thrice a week based on how much dusty the floors are. 30 mins in hall and 10 mins per bedroom is usually sufficient. The various modes are also very useful.Tip – clean the robot dust panel, rotating brush etc at least once each week. It is very easy to clean and would ensure that your robo is more effective.
