This is a great product. I bought two of the 4-packs. Very easy to set up, very easy to control through the app, and I highly recommend. This product works with 5G Wi-Fi, so it was just what I needed.

Work very well with 5ghz
We got a new modem and router when we changed our Internet service, and couldn’t get our old smart plugs to connect even though we switched to 2.4ghz to perform the task. Decided to get these, the smart life app recognized them immediately and were connected in a matter of seconds. I’ve been using them for a few weeks now without any issues. Glad I found some that work with 5ghz, wasn’t looking forward to having to manually turning on my Christmas lights! I have two plugs in our attached garage, and I can also control them from the app. I was concerned that distance/walls etc. would be an issue, so far so good. I will update if any issues arise. Update: one of the plugs just quit working, power light doesn’t even come on, tried all the troubleshooting tips but it’s dead. After such a short time?? If any of the others die, I will update. Too expensive not to have longevity.

FINALLY, a smart outlet that actually works and gives real-time electrical usage telemetry!
5Ghz = 5 starsMost “smart” wifi outlets are actually really dumb…I’ve encountered knockoff brands on here that won’t bind to the Smart Life app no matter how many attempts, and others give no electrical usage telemetry whatsoever, not unless you pay for it. Enter these Eightree dual-band outlets…Smart Life finds them immediately and adds them no problem. I have a bunch of outlets managed through Smart Life. The last thing I wanted to do is download yet another app just for a few outlets, but lately it’s become a nightmare trying to find Smart Life compatible wifi outlets that give electrical usage telemetry.The telemetry is the biggest reason these outlets are the best of the best, as far as Smart Life outlets are concerned. Right at the top of the outlet UI you’ll see daily power usage. The outlets can be put on countdown timers and programmed to power off and on at specific times. They can also be joined to 5Ghz Wifi networks, a huge game-changer considering almost all “smart” outlets are limited to 2.4Ghz. If your Wifi SSID is dual 2.4/5Ghz, the outlet will likely bind to 2.4Ghz unless it’s nearby the access point. Either way, these work great, and they’re the best Smart Life compatible Wifi outlets available on Amazon currently. Pay CLOSE attention to wifi outlets, their descriptions, and whether or not they actually do electrical usage telemetry…most Smart Life compatible outlets no longer offer this functionality. Other brands are simply terrible…some won’t even bind to the app!5 stars for these Eightree dual-band Wifi outlets. HIGHLY recommend.

Impressive features and easy to use
I had some 2.4 ghz smart plugs I bought from another company years ago but they started dying out on me so I was looking for replacement smart plugs that had all the latest features. I saw these Eightree plugs on Amazon and they looked like they had all of the features I wanted. My plan was to use these plugs to monitor the energy consumption of the various space heaters that I had around the house to see if electric space heaters costs more than just using natural gas to heat the rooms. I also upgraded the router at my house to multiband 2.4/5 ghz and my prior devices that ran on 2.4 ghz were having problems connecting to my network.The plugs were easy to install and connect to. All I had to do was open up the Smart Life app on my iPad, insert the plug in the wall outlet, and then select “Add Device” on the app. The app then detected the new device, I input the WiFi password for my network, and it was connected.In the past, my space heaters would occassionally burn out my prior 2.4 ghz smart plugs. Anything that generates a decent amount of heat (i.e. hair dryers, space heaters, clothing iron, etc.) will draw a lot of amps and can burn out a smart outlet unless the plug has a decent amperage rating. I haven’t seen any smarts plug out there that have a re-settable fuse on it. So if the plug gets overloaded, it’ll burn out and can’t be used anymore.These Eightree plugs have a 15 amp rating, so it can likely handle as much power as your wall outlet is able to put out. I’ve had my space heaters running on these smart plugs for 3 hours now and the plugs have been able to handle the power draw without getting warm or overheating.I was especially pleased with the depth of the energy monitoring features of these plugs. You can pull up graphs showing the energy consumption per hour, per day, week, etc. It also shows the total dollar cost of the energy that’s being used and well as the ongoing voltage and the number of watts that’s being drawn from the outlet. So it can also serve double duty as a voltage and wattage meter.These aren’t the absolute cheapest smart plugs on Amazon. But they are the lowest priced ones that have all of the features that are included in them: 5 ghz Wifi, 15 amp capacity, energy monitoring stats, etc.I’ll be ordering a lot more of these plugs so that I can monitor the electric usage of all the devices at my house.

Work really well
Bought these in Dec 2024. They work well but a little quirky to setup. But once you do, they control our window candles without any monitoring. We use them on both our first and second floors. I took them out recently to check them and they plugged in and starting working on the schedule we set them at last year. All we have to do this year is plug them into the electrical outlet and the candles into them and it is all set to go!

I have purchased many smart plugs over the years and these are absolutely without question the best ones I have ever purchased!It was the easiest plug I have ever installed.The step by step instructions were fantastic and it was recognized instantly on the first attempt.I was already using the Smart Life app for our other smart devices so no other app was required.The smart monitor function is great at keeping you informed just how much it’s costing you to power whatever you have plugged into it.If you want even more detailed reports the app also has a few upgrade options that you can subscribe to if you like. This is totally optional and I have not tried it as I find the free monitoring features are fine for my needs.These plugs can actually put money back into your pocket by knowing how much it’s costing you to have something powered on so you can adjust your use efficiently.The option of using either 5ghz or 2.4ghz is great! (I am using them with the rest of my system that is all 2.4ghz with no issues). It’s nice to know when the time comes and all these smart home devices switch to 5ghz that these will still be working!I had a few questions regarding the plugs. The company was very friendly and eager to help in any way they could. They answered all of my questions, addressed all of my concerns and returned my messages consistently as quickly as they could, given the time shift between myself and them.In short…- These are great plugs that work fantastic with lots of great features at a very reasonable price.- They are easy to setup and use.- They work on both 5ghz and 2.4 ghz.- They can save you money.- The company and their staff is great to deal with.My only regret is I didn’t buy more!

We have the 2.4G version but when our power is out for any length of time they are a pain to setup. These 5Ghz plugs are a breeze. Open the app, plug this into the outlet and it sets up within seconds with no fuss at all. I love the options for turning devices on/off and the power usage monitor is a nice surprise feature. Everything linked to Alexa quickly and instructions were simple. I’ve ordered more to replace the rest of my 2.4G plugs.**** 2nd package arrived and they setup just as easily as the first ones. Looks like I will be ordering more to replace all of our 2.4G smart plugs!
