Good quality, great price!
Well worth it! I have 2012 focus that we drive infrequently, and normal operations of the vehicle slowly drain the battery while it sits. No desire here to disconnect and reconnect the battery. I put velcro on the back of the solar panel, and it fits the deck shelf perfectly. The indicator light on the power plug is a godsend, I was ready to grab probes and check for always in outlets, but no need with the led! Install was 5 minutes, and everything is well made. Thanks!

Trickle chargers for long cold winter
Bought 4 of these for my 6 cars and daughters Jeep while she is deployed and I am storing her vehicle. The Jeeps are nice because they have a always on 12V receptacle to plugin the charger. I’ve checked for voltage on two of my units and just need to check on the remaining two. So far so good. I feel better knowing these trickle chargers will be providing some current over the long winter months when my cars don’t get used as often.

I ordered this as a gift for a friend. Returned because it did not have auto shut off and could over charge the battery. Cannot comment further as it was never used.

bad connection at 12v power plug
The 10w solar battery charger I received had a flaw in the car power connection that plugs into the 12v cigar/accessory jack. Even though the red LED light is on there was no voltage at the end of the plug. When I disconnected the plug and measured right from the solar panel it provided the 18+ volts which explains why the red LED was on. But there was 0v at the output side of the 12v car plug. The plug contains a fuse and the fuse was good, and I found a bad connection to the end of the plug which I was able to repair. So when I originally thought the panel was providing a charge because the red LED was on, in actuality no voltage was getting to the 12v accessory plug output side. Once I fixed it, the system works correctly. I think some of the bad reviews may be because quality control apparently does not check if voltage is actually getting to the end of the plug.

I don’t drive my car as much as I should and therefore have been using a 240v trickle charger to keep it charged but it isn’t convenient rolling out an extension lead.This solar charger has solved that problem and is working very well.The cable runs under the seals on a closed door and under the bonnet with no problem.

dopo averlo provato qualche giorno, per tenere in vita la mia vecchia batteria dell’auto (di quelle costose fatte per essere continuamente caricate) ho deciso di prenderne subito un’altro!! In pratica il pannello lo danno per 10 watt, ovvero 700-800 milliampere , il voltaggio a vuoto si aggira sui 19 volt, con il carico arriva sui 14 circa, nel mio caso ho un consumo fisso intorno ai 400-500 milliampere (dovuto anche all’antifurto tracker gps) quindi se ho la batteria in perfetta forma (quasi mai visto che l’auto fa pochi chilometri e sta ferma per 1 settimana) si riesce a non rimanere a piedi….ovvero non si carica ne si scarica…ma ricordiamoci che adesso il sole e’ molto forte!! e quindi abbiamo quei 10 watt detti belli pieni.Prendendone due….collegati in parallelo, mi assicuro di avere un 1500Mha in uscita verso la batteria quindi, almeno 1 ampere per la ricarica della stessa, anche nei giorni di meno luminosita ho abbastanza carica di mantenimento e una leggera ricarica. Prodotto promosso al 100% molto ben fatto anche nei collegamenti , e ovviamente Amazon sempre veloce e precisa.
