Works great!
This robot arm is great for the hobbyist or DIY student. I can use mine with 3 – 4 AA battery packs or a variable power supply. I have used the arm with a micro-controller and written a controller program with Tkinter. I have read someone complain about the servo movement being jerky. That will not happen if you use small increments in the degrees. I increment the servos in 5 degree steps. But if you want finer accuracy you can use 1 or 3 degrees. 10 degrees at a time will give faster movement. I am working on a program for have the robot arm move player pieces for playing tic tac toe and chess. Worth the money and time to build if you are interested in learning about robotics.

Directions are lacking
Inventory of screws is inaccurate. Key steps are merely alluded to in pictures. Otherwise seems a decent kit for the price if you want to choose stronger servos but don’t want to source all the other parts individually.

Great robot arm
The arm was fairly easy to put together. They provided more nuts/bolts than were needed. I used 5 mg995 servos and one heavy duty ezrobot servo for the 2nd position up from the bottom. The arm gets heavy with all the servos and an mg995 won’t lift it. This was a fun little project.

Worthless
A horrible kit. Instructions are worthless

Poor Quality Control
This product had broken screws and incorrect number of parts (screws/bushings). It is metal and durable. Not the best assembly instructions.

It took sometimes to put it together based on pictures. But this should be nothing if u are already cane to this level. One thing, it ONLY comes metal pieces. U need to buy sevor, board….etc

Great project for the $, some things to know
Enjoyed building this, fairly easy and a good result. A few things I learned along the way.Used a 25kg servo for shoulder, used a 20kg servo for elbow, a std MG996R not really strong enough for those joints. For the MG996R be sure to order FULL metal gears, otherwise inside they plastic and will strip. I found the U brackets made the whole thing wobble, would have preferred an actual rotory bearing, but then it wouldn’t be $40. I did find that putting 1″ standoffs in the open side of the bracket helps, also mount the upper U bracket across ( 90deg ) the lower 2. I may just machine a meta;l block and mount servo to that. Bought a min Maesro controller from Pololu, runs fine using code fro my pi 4, I really liked the Windows GUI app that come with it, get you up and runnig with no code.Parts Listhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UXSOFWI?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_detailshttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B08P3NM24Y?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_detailshttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GJ6ZCVY?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_detailshttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B076CNKQX4?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_detailshttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B08744HB1X?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_detailshttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NOGMK3M?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details
