Impressive Upgrade — Great Picture and Xbox Cloud Gaming Support!
I recently upgraded to this 55″ Amazon Fire TV, and I’m really impressed. Compared to my previous Fire TV (an older version I owned before), the picture quality is noticeably better — brighter colors, sharper details, and smoother motion. One of the biggest highlights for me is that it supports Xbox Cloud Gaming directly through the app, and the experience has been excellent. The gameplay feels smooth and responsive, and the built-in Fire TV interface makes it super easy to switch between streaming and gaming.Setup was quick, sound quality is solid, and overall performance feels snappier than the previous model. If you’re considering upgrading from an older Fire TV, this one is absolutely worth it!

AWESOME!!!
I was concerned that I didn’t get the sound bar. But, you know what? With this tv you don’t NEED a sound bar. We had a $300 Bose sound bar and it’s now in the shed. The picture is better , the sound is 150% better. Best investment we’ve made this year.

Only complaint – misleading photos about border
TVs great along with the display quality, but I’m rating it a 4/5 due to the misleading photos. There is a minimal black border, but the photos made it look a lot more minimal than it is. It’s about x3 what the photos make it look to be (black back as in the surrounding black edge along the display)

Amazing TV!
I love my new Fire TV. Hopefully it lasts longer than my last Fire TV. The picture and sound is amazing. It doesn’t completely shuts off, it stays in a sleep mode and turns on with motion in the room. I would love it more if it actually powered down.

Great picture – easy to set up and connect everything – apps work well
Since this TV replaces an old plasma TV in a south-facing living room, I wanted to give it a few days of tweaking and exploring it before writing my review.Plasma TVs are known for their deep blacks, motion clarity, and close to perfect viewing angles. and more plastic images. On the other hand, they get very warm, are energy hogs, and have glare issues. Plus, my old one was not a smart TV, and I wanted to have easy and reliable access to apps. I have a variety of LED smart TVs, and most of them have their pitfalls. This FireTV comes, after some tweaks, very close to the plasma experience, and has a significantly better app experience than any of my other FireTVs.Image quality:The images are clear and crisp, and there are plenty of options to tailor your experience to your needs. In our case, it is to find the balance of limiting glare issues due to direct sunshine, vivid colors, and image depth. Since it is an LED screen, it will not have the deep blacks of a plasma TV, but with some adjustments, it comes pretty close. The viewing angle is better than my other LED TVs, but not as wide as the plasma’s.Sound quality:The sound quality is quite an improvement from my old TV. It has more bass and sounds fuller than with my old TV. I listened to some music, and the sound quality was very good. In addition, there is an equalizer option in the settings to fine-tune the audio experience to your needs.Connectivity and apps:Wifi and Bluetooth setup and connectivity work very well. The Wifi connection is stable, has never dropped, and is high speed. With different Bluetooth headsets, I have sometimes encountered a fraction of a second audio delays, which are slightly noticeable when you watch the news since the anchors face you. When watching movies, I have not noticed this issue, probably because actors don’t stare straight into the camera. I wish there were an option to connect a Bluetooth device in the settings options that can be accessed while watching TV or a movie, and not only from the main settings. Maybe this feature will become available in the future. The app experience is so far perfect. No slow loading or unresponsiveness issues at all. Every app I tried loaded quickly and functioned very well, and the picture always stayed smooth. Connecting apps via QR code also speeds up the process quite a bit compared to needing to add the information manually.Instantly On feature:This is an interesting new feature that I am not sure how much I will use, since we have pets. When you put your TV in hibernation, it will sense when someone enters the room and will display your chosen artwork. I find this feature quite useful to ensure that the TV is powered off, and not only in hibernation mode. That has been an issue with other smart TVs for me before.Instructions and physical setup:The instructions are very basic and focus on the physical TV setup. Personally, I wish that there were more information on all the settings options. To get the image to the point I wanted, I had to Google some of the terms to figure out what I was actually changing. If I had Alexa set up, maybe she could have explained the settings, but I prefer things like that in writing (either in an instruction manual or directly on the settings). The physical setup is easy since you only have to install the feet with four screw, and since the TV is not heavy, it can be done by one person.Overall, I am very happy with this TV. We can finally watch TV on sunny days when the sun partially shines on the TV, and can see everything without too many glare issues. I like the fact that the TV doesn’t emit as much heat as my old plasma TV. Most importantly, I like the image quality, and that all apps work perfectly, and there is no lag or motion issues when using apps.

Good TV for Streaming Services, but not for Live TV.
Overall I like this TV. It is a replacement for a previous TV that was an older model that had a hardware failure. It was less expensive to just buy a new one versus repairing the old one.My biggest criticism is that this model no longer has the voice sync capability, and live TV gets very out of sync, making it impossible to watch live shows at all.
