Product is great, description could be improved.
I bought these to experiment with Meshtastic. The quality of the items are outstanding, they work well, etc. The description could stand a lot of improvement. Most of the photos show batteries. Several reviews praise the fact that “everything you need is included”. No batteries are included, and they must be purchased separately. I don’t mind that they are a separate item, but I wish that had been made clearer, so I wouldn’t have lost two days on my project.

Pain to get my PC to recognize the device, but it’s worth it
This LORA device is a pretty sweet first step into the Meshtastic network. It allows the broadcast and receiving of RF on a tiny little device.Assembling the device was pretty straight forward. It has a 3M double sided sticky that you stick the battery on. The cutout of the case fits the board easily, and the provided blue bordered screen protector fits perfectly and really easy to apply because it’s a little recessed where you need to apply it.The tricky part is that your computer may not have the proper driver to recognize the board. You may have to google a driver to recognize the device properly as you will need to flash the software from the Meshtastic website for it to function properly. When you’re on the website, it’s pretty easy (with the proper USB driver), it was fairly painless to flash. If you’re afraid that you’ll mess up, just look up a video that explains everything step by step (don’t forget to hold down the boot button when you plug the device to the computer!)I was able to download the Meshtastic app on my Fold 6, and it paired via Bluetooth easily. From there I was able to start conversing with others on the network!I will say, I’m not an expert when it comes to LORA or RF, but for its price, you really can’t beat it as a first step. I’ll probably get something a bit “nicer” down the line and keep this as my home, but it’s really freaking cool and I like that you don’t need a special license like HAM radios to be able to use the network.

Cool device! Just needs a tweak.
Interesting technology ~ still learning… However, I was able to immediately improve this product with a simple modification. The Bluetooth range is really bad, like 20’ limit. The reason is the inadequate board-mounted antenna. It looks like a little ballpoint pin spring soldered to the board. Unsolder it, and replace with a 3” piece of 28 gauge insulated wire. Drill a small hole in the case for it to dangle free and your Bluetooth range will quadruple. Much better with this mod. Be careful with the solder. It’s not difficult, but you need to know what you’re doing.

Inexpensive dependable LoRa radios for Meshtastic
These are amazing LoRa radios that are easy to use and reliable. These were my first LoRa purchase; I added better antennas and solar panels, and now I have dependable LoRa nodes. The package of two is very convenient because you can place them in different locations to run your tests. Learning was easy, I used the Meshtastic app from the iOS store, and that’s all you need. And that’s the beauty of this package, it contains all you need to get started.

The case is great. Easy DIY kit!
I really liked the kit, the case was great. The 1100mah battery was a perfect fit.The Node PCB board was working great with Meshtastic. But it started to fail after a few hours. Once the battery was at full 100% charge, the USB power meter showed it was still using a lot of current. The case was warm. I checked one of my old V3 nodes and it was using very little power, and running cool.(I own two HelTec V3 that are being used as Home Base units and they have been working great about a year now). Not sure why this new V3 was using so much power. It soon failed completely.I returned it.

Excellent value and good choice for first meshtastic node
Fun and easy to asemble. Really great intro device to meshtastic ecosystem. Flashing with latest firmware was straight-forward. The only thing I’d note, is that even though this board supports wifi – I could never get it to stay online very long with wifi enabled. Sticking to Bluetooth works fine. The battery life isn’t crazy long (6-8hrs?) so I carry a battery back with me if I’m going to be out for a while.

Decent concept – support could definitely be better.
One of the two devices worked flawlessly. The assembly of the devices was relatively easy, and flashing was not difficult. One of the two devices did not emit a signal and stayed in a persistent discovery mode and would not pair. I reached out to the vendor for a solution and got in a loop of emails back and forth with no tangible solution. If both devices worked correctly, I would say the value was good for the cost. The sturdiness of the case and size were accurate and well-made, and the looks are pleasant.Recommend not buying through this vendor if their only solution is to keep you on the hook until the return window expires. Will update should I get a better solution.
