Product description

【Anti-Theft OBD2 Lock】Stop car theft via OBD 2 port hacking – Thieves use tools like OBDLink, Veepeak OBD2, or BimmerCode adapters to clone keys. This OBD2 lock physically blocks access, unlike generic car anti-theft devices or trunk locks. 【Only for OBD2, not for OBD】
【Universal Fit for Most Cars】Works with standard OBD-II ports (check compatibility for embedded ports). Not an OBD2 splitter or diagnostic tool—purely a car theft prevention device to protect your ECU.
【High-Security Keys Included】Includes 2 double-groove keys to prevent picking—more secure than a car lockbox or hood lock. Keys toggle between ON (locked) and OFF (unlocked) modes for diagnostics.
【Tool-Free Installation】No wiring or screws (unlike glad hand locks). Slides on in seconds without damaging your OBD2 port—ideal for pairing with Carlock anti-theft devices or steering wheel locks.
【Durable Metal Construction】Made of aircraft-grade aluminum alloy (vs. plastic car anti theft devices). Resists prying and tampering, offering stronger protection than breaker lockout solutions.

For me – good enough
There are all kind of OBD2 port locks and at different price ranges. I wanted something that was quick, easy to install, and quick to remove – if you are not a thief.Thieves are using signal capture and relay devices to mimic key fob signals, cutting alarm wires connecting to the port, and programming a new key, all kinds of things. If a thief gets past the alarm system, has the knowledge and ability to program a car to accept a new key fob, they are probably going to get the car. Anything I can use to slow them down helps. Maybe just seeing a lock on the OBD2 port would make a thief stop and think “Do I want to deal with this now?” and maybe get them to just move on.I didn’t want an OBD2 lock that required tools, clamps, removable clips, etc. which can have complications and then you may have to cut the lock off. So when I saw this keyed anti-theft OBD2 lock I wanted to get it.The body looks good, not too big, and made of aluminum. It slips on, and with a turn of the key, hooks on to the port well. With my car the port is angled down so the lock does not stick out too far from the dash.A negative is the key/lock. The ad says High-Security Keys Included – Includes 2 double-groove keys (10,000+ variations) to prevent picking. Like the other reviewer noticed, my key also only has the one pin, used to align the key into the tubular lock, but the key has no groves or additional cuts. I expect the tubular lock actually has no stack pins inside. My key is numbered 506, (by the way the same key number as the keys in the ad) and I think they are all the same – one pin, no cuts, basically not a real key. So even though this key/lock is really simple, who is walking around to steal a car and has this simple key that is not a real key.Is it top of the line, no, close to the top, still no, but will this Anti-Theft OBD2 Lock from Xykzra slow a thief down, I hope it will. I am giving it a 3-Star rating because it says it is a lock but really not because they are all keyed the same.

Garbage cheap lock. Pulls right off with barely no force.
Junk. Doesn’t work. Lock is cheaply made. Garbage. Lock and unlock is backwards labeled too.

Should slow down a thief a minute
Works on 2018 Infiniti Q-60

Does not fit 2016 KIA Optima
The only way this will fit my car is if I leave off the panel over the OBD 2 port which is not an attractive look. It was hard to tell from the description if it would fit. It is cheaply made of some plastic parts so it would be easily broken off.

Decent OBD2 port blocker, but not as secure as it could be
This review is for the Xykzra Anti-Theft OBD2 Lock. The product includes the OBD2 port blocker and two keys on a small metal ring.I tested this device on two Ford vehicles: a Gen3 Expedition and a Gen14 F-150. I was able to install the port blocker on both vehicles, but I did notice that the knee panel on the Gen3 Expedition presses against the top of the face of the port blocker when installed. This made it a bit more difficult to maneuver the port blocker into position so the lock would engage, but I was able to make it work.In terms of security, this port blocker feels like a solid piece with one exception: the part of the device that actually engages/locks the port appears to be made of plastic instead of metal. Checking the product description, I discovered that the device is made of “aluminum alloy and POM.” As it turns out, “POM” stands for polyoxymethylene which is a crystalline thermoplastic. Why the manufacturer didn’t make the most important part of the device out of metal is a mystery to me as it would have made the device much more secure. One additional head scratcher: when I install this port blocker on my vehicles, the ON/OFF labels on the face of the device are upside down. I think the OBD2 ports on most if not all vehicles have the long edge on top, so the manufacturer should have inverted the labels so they are oriented correctly when the device is installed. However, this issue doesn’t affect the operation of the device and isn’t too big of a deal.Overall, this is a decent port blocker and should help to deter the average thief, but a few additional improvements would make it excellent.

Solidly Built. Lock It and Leave It Vehicle Security.
I recently discovered just how vulnerable cars are when a thief gains access to the OBD2 port—stopping theft is all about slowing down the criminal, and this Anti-Theft OBD2 Lock does exactly that. When a thief sees this metal OBD2 blocker in place, they’re going move on to an easier target. From the moment I installed it, I could tell this device is solidly constructed. Made of durable aluminum alloy, it fits securely on my OBD2 port and doesn’t wiggle or loosen without the special security key. The snug fit gives me real peace of mind knowing no one can piggyback off my car’s computer system. My only minor gripe is that the “Off” position actually indicates the lock is engaged, while “On” means it’s unlocked. It’s a small detail— you’re not swapping it in and out every day—but it took me a moment to get used to it.Overall, this OBD2 port blocker is an excellent investment in vehicle security. If you want to slow down potential thieves and protect your car’s OBD2 port without hassle, this lock will do the trick.

Solid Concept but Poor Fit for My Vehicle
I installed this OBD2 lock on my 2019 Ram 1500 as a simple theft deterrent. The build quality is actually quite good—it’s made from solid materials and definitely feels durable. I do think it would slow a thief down or at least make them think twice before trying to access the port. However, the design has one major flaw, at least for my truck. Once installed, the lock protrudes quite a bit below the dash. It’s positioned right where your leg might be during driving, and in the unfortunate event of a collision, it could pose a serious safety risk. It’s not something I’d want near my knee in a crash. It’s a clever idea and may work well for other vehicles with more clearance, but in my case, it’s just not practical. I won’t be using it on this truck.
