Momentary on-off switches with well-defined click as they switch between on and off.
These are momentary on-off switches with a well-defined click as they are pushed into the on position. They remain on so long as you continue to hold pressure on the button, turning off when you let go. Although there are five compartments for the switches, all the switches are the same size and have the same type of actuation. There are five color choices, with seven of each color. All colors are easily differentiated under even dim white light. Switch legs are long enough to go through a standard circuit board and to be soldered in place.

Good enough buttons, but the switches are wobbly and the labeling is bad
I suppose I’ll start by saying the buttons have a nice click to them, and a very clear actuation point, so they’re generally good mechanically. Unfortunately, the switches have a lot of wobble. You wouldn’t notice it if you’re just fiddling with the switches alone, but once the caps are on, it’s pretty obvious. And to be clear, this isn’t a problem with the caps, they fit perfectly, it’s just that the switches have a lot of lateral play. If you happen to be using a 3D printer to make a case, you can mostly solve this by making sure the buttons fit inside a reasonably tight channel. The caps are certainly colorful and they fit onto the switches perfectly. They have a glossy finish and are quite smooth, even kinda slippery. My other complaint is that there’s nothing useful printed on the card in the storage box. When I say nothing, I really mean nothing useful at all. I’ll explain…If you’re looking at this listing, you can see that these are 4-pin, Normally Open (NO), ‘instantaneous’ switches (more commonly referred to as ‘momentary’). That means they only close the circuit while you’re holding them down. The listing also mentions supporting up to 12V and 0.05A (50mA). These would all be common details on a datasheet, and that’s all they really need to include somewhere on the card, but literally none of that is present. If you pick up this box of buttons in a few months and wonder about any of these details, will you want to come back to this listing to find this information? I tend to doubt it. And that assumes you’d even be able to find it. Basic details like this should be clear on the packaging so we can look through parts quickly and find what we need.Oh, I guess I will acknowledge that the storage case is pretty good. It’s just a small plastic case with two rows of five compartments. There’s not enough space for parts to travel between compartments, and there’s a little plastic locking mechanism to keep the lid from falling open, and it’s fine enough.Due to the wobble and the poor labeling on the package, I have to knock this down to three stars.

Good Tactile Feel and Excellent Storage for Hobbyist Projects
I reviewed this kit of 35 tactile button switches for various Arduino and DIY projects. These are consistent, easy-to-use micro switches that are a good addition to any electronics bench. The switches all have the same function, which simplifies use, and the included 5-color caps help distinguish functions in a project. They have a good tactile feel so you definitely know when the button is pressed. The 4-pin design functions correctly: the leads are wired through in one direction and remain open until the button is pressed in the other. I was able to get these working with minimal fuss, though I did have to straighten the pins out a little before adding them to a standard breadboard. The packaging is a high point. The box they come in is quite nice and helps keep the different colored caps and switches neatly classified. The only real issue is that the set did not come with the tweezers that were mentioned in the product description. This is a minor disappointment, but the actual switches and box are excellent for the price. I give them 4 stars.
