Solid indoor projector for streaming + gaming
The Hompow Google TV Projector has been a great choice for indoor streaming and casual gaming. I’ve been using an Epson Home Cinema 1080 as my primary screen for a few years, displayed on a 100″ projector screen in my basement. The Epson is an excellent projector, but it lacks any built-in apps, so it requires connecting with a streaming stick or game console to be useful. I was in the market for a more modern projector with native apps. The Hompow has been an excellent replacement.Setup was quick – literally plug and play once you remove the bulb cover. The built-in Google TV interface provides easy access to Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, etc., without any external devices needed. It even supports Google Cast, so I can stream straight from my phone. Personally, I like the app selection hard-wired into the remote – I don’t think I’ve ever used the ESPN+ or Roku Channel options on my (admittedly old) Roku stick, so replacing them with Prime Video and Disney+ has been far more useful to me.The image is sharp and bright on my 100″ screen, even with some ambient light. It handles HD streaming well, and while the built-in apps don’t support native 4K playback, 4K content plays smoothly over HDMI from my PS5. I haven’t experienced any latency issues, acknowledging the fastest-pace game I’m playing is COD MW (2019).The built-in speakers are better than expected—clear and loud enough for my makeshift basement living room. The included video clip gives a preview of the sound quality, standing a couple of feet away from the projector. Bluetooth connectivity is available if you want to upgrade the audio, which is probably a good idea if you’re already dropping a few hundred dollars on the projector, but it’s not essential.The projector includes a standard tripod mount, which adds a lot of flexibility. I use (and recommend) the Sensyne 64″ Camera Tripod—it’s sturdy, adjustable, and makes setup quick and easy without needing to mount to a wall or ceiling.There are a few small drawbacks: the interface is a bit slow when switching or loading apps, the zoom feature has a limited range, and the power cord is short, so you’ll probably need an extension cord. To be fair, the power cord issue has been true with other projectors I’ve used, including Epson models, so I can’t fault this particular projector.Overall, the Hompow projector is a strong option for a home theater/casual gaming setup. The current sale price ($240) is honestly a steal, but I still would’ve been a happy customer had I paid the full $300.

Update** Very pleased with everything except the lack of keystone correction and again, the internal sound is not great. Contacted customer service and they said they would correct the listing to reflect that there is no keystone correction. Haven’t done that so far. For the price this is a really good projector. Customer service is exceptional.So far this is a good projector for the money. Brightness is good. Picture is good. The internal sound is nothing to brag about but that’s the case with most of these the projectors. The only complaint I have so far is that it lists that it has keystone correction in the description. It does not. Not unless you consider moving the projector to be keystone correction. The very essence of keystone correction is to overcome the fact that you can’t move the projector. Other than that I’m pretty pleased so far. Update to come later.

Cozy Movie Nights
I’ve been using the HOMPOW HD 4K Google TV projector, and it’s a great budget-friendly option for movie nights! The setup was super easy, and I love that it connects via WiFi and Bluetooth for quick streaming. The picture looks sharp in darker rooms, though it’s not true 4K and can lose clarity in bright light. Overall, perfect for cozy home cinema vibes without breaking the bank!

I am using this for long now.. clarity is great even if you don’t have white wall at home like me it still work really great. Sound is good too only thing is wires are too small so you need to buy some long ones to adjust accordingly to your room settings. Otherwise the product is great

Supee buen producto definitivamente superó nis expectativas, la imagen de ver muy bien de ajustes muy bien al tamaño que le des, y sin problema te da los 1080p, si definitivamente debes tratar de tener un espacit obscuro para que se vea al 100% pero por el precio estoy muy satisfecho

Ya llevo unos meses usándolo, es muy buen producto por su precio, la calidad de la imagen, en enfoque y el sonido son muy buenos.El ruido podría molestar un poco, pero uno se acostumbra o puedes usar audífonos.La primera vez que lo pedí tuve un problema porque no estaba el control, pero hice la devolución y lo volví a pedir (no hubo costos extras).
