Comfortable Ergonomic Grip: The NATO top handle features a silicone part with a 4-finger texture, providing a more comfortable and anti-slip grip. It is designed for easy low-angle shooting and to reduce strain on the arms.
Wide Compatibility: Comes with a 50mm NATO Rail, allowing the top handle to be compatible with any camera cage featuring two 1/4″ threaded holes. The handle can slide directly onto the NATO Rail and be secured with the built-in knob, making it easy toassemble and disassemble.
Lightweight and Solid: The handle w/ NATO Rail is made of aluminum alloy and features a hollowed-out design, which ensures that the handle weighs 144g (0.31lbs) while supporting a weight of up to up to 10kg (22lbs).
5 Built-in Cold Shoe Mounts: The front of the handle has 3 cold shoe mounts, while the back end has 2, allowing for connection of up to 5 external devices simultaneously, such as LED light, monitor, microphone, transmitter, and more.
12 Threaded Holes: Ten 1/4″ threaded holes and two 3/8″ threaded holes for arri could attach more accessories, such as monitor mount 2903B and magic arm 2066B.

Love this top Handle. The grip is comfortable and the build quality feels top notch as expected of smallrig. The NATO rail fits neatly onto my camera cage and the handle slides on just as smoothly. No rocking or shaking when handling my rig with it. Definitely recommend.

There couldn’t be a better attachment for the smallrig camera cage than the NATO handle. I use this attachment all the time and I absolutely love it. A heavy duty yet lightweight aluminum design is durable for heavy use. The handle itself provides so much versatility for different shooting styles. It increases stability when performing low shots, high shots, and is ideal for quick movements. The handle helps with balancing out your camera rig as well making it easier to carry and use for longer periods of time.The handle also includes a cold shoe mount which is ideal for mounting a myriad of different accessories. I typically mount my shotgun microphone to the cold shoe mount. It just works really well where it’s positioned. I could see a small video light being great for this location as well. Having a NATO top handle like this one really opens up some creative doors in the sense of different shooting styles. It gives you the ability to hold your camera rig in different ways and allows you to get unique angles that you otherwise couldn’t get without it.I always talk about the quality and durability of Smallrigs products and the NATO top handle doesn’t fall short. It’s a great design and fits well in the hand and above all, it’s comfortable to use. Highly recommend the Smallrig ecosystem if you are looking for great camera accessories!

Very easy to mount on the cage, love the ability to put it on and off in a second. It feels strong and it’s a big help for video. Definitely recommended.

Comfortable and Top notch build quality
The handle is very comfortable to use.Build quality is top notch as always from small rig. This might outlast you in the long run.Slightly on the heavy side but it is to be expected because of the build quality.It is easy to install and remove from the camera especially with the Nato rail and is very secure that you would not think twice if this would fall off or not.

Best Smallrig handle
UPDATE: Smallrig reached out and helped resolve the issue. It’s a very nice handle for the money. Not sure why its so cheap actually.Great solid handle and I love grabbing onto it BUTTTT… It’s picky with its rails. It will lock onto the rail it came with but trying it on a Smallrig rail which looks identical to the one it came with wont lock on. It wont lock onto a Neewer S5ii cage. It wont lock onto a Nitze Video Assist cage. A bit strange that it didnt want to lock onto the same brand independent rail.So watch out. it may seem like it’s locked on but if you push it to the side a little, it will slide. There is a very small limit to how far the lock can go so I sensing a design flaw. Im thinking everyone is using this handle with the included rail and giving this handle 5 stars.

Love it
I’ve had a few top handles and I was worried this would be too small for my big hands. But I wanted the nato rail mount.It actually is my favorite top handle I’ve owned. Mounting is a breeze, and the nato rail makes turning it front or back facing super quick.It’s also really comfortable to hold. It’s strong and durable but has a rubberized bottom molded to fit your hand and it fits my hand like a glove.

Shorter and lighter than expected
I bought this for my GH5 with Small Rig cage.The feel of the handle grip was nice and ergonomic, and the metal construction seemed sturdy. However it was much lighter than I expected, and the length of the handle was a bit short, which created some balance issues. I did not feel that I would be able to attach much in the way of accessories, especially not an external monitor, with completely throwing the rig off balance (tilting heavily forward while in hand).Overall the quality of the product seemed great, but for my specific setup it was not a good fit.
