I never knew my truck could be this much fun to drive! Wow…just “WOW!”
If you’ve seen the commercials or YouTube videos showing customer’s shocked reactions & looks of astonishment and thought, “Oh yeah, whatever…they’re faking the reactions…”Guess what?! THEY AREN’T FAKING IT!!! I REACTED THE SAME WAY!!!I thought, ” ok whatever, just gonna crank it up to Sport+ right from the get go”(Don’t do that, by the way…ease into it, so you get used to the instant throttle response)Back to my story: So I cranked it up to Sport+ mode, thinking “No big deal”… and then all h€ll broke loose when I started to press the accelerator pedal— engine instantly roared to life, rear tires started squealing, and I LOVED my 20 year old Dodge Ram again! THIS IS WHAT A HEMI SHOULD FEEL LIKE WHEN YOU HIT THE GAS!This is the best money I’ve spent trying to improve my truck’s performance & worth every penny!And what’s really weird is that my gas mileage is better—even when it’s in Sport mode!I really wish I had a video to post of my reaction so you could see for yourself, but it was “Wheeee!” “WTF?!” “OMG!!” and then I changed it to regular Sport mode because in Sport+ my truck is a torque monster and I have enough tickets…lolBOTTOM LINE:GET IT, YOU’LL LOVE IT!I DO, AND HAVE NO REGRETS!

2017 RAM 3500 DRW 4.10 AISIN
As the heading shows, I drive a 17 RAM 3500 Dually with 4.10 and Aisin transmission so mine is considered the HO. There are a couple of things I didn’t see when researching. 1. Nobody seems to have long-term use reviews. Everyone is talking about just installing, had it a day, love the power, etc… 2. Does it make the truck jerk from a stop (slam the diff) or does it cause any other drivability issues.I will be a little hypocritical with my review, as I have only had mine about a week or so. I do intend on keeping it installed at least until the January 31st return window (if it doesn’t cause any problems with the truck I will keep it installed). I have towed empty, pulling my 19k lbs. fifth wheel, running Diesel additive, and without additive. In all these scenario’s I have kept it tuned to either City +4 or Sport with no +/-.Even with the Aisin being a slightly stiffer transmission, I have been very impressed on how the truck feels now. I am not driving it like a rental car so I have not seen any decrease in fuel efficiency. I have not even tried the Sport Plus settings. It accelerates extremely smoothly and the power seems to come on gradually but quickly (if that makes sense). Anyone who drives the Aisin knows the feel of the 1st to 2nd injector cutout, and with the PC the hesitation or cut out seems to be much smoother or less apparent. I haven’t had any hard upshift or downshifts. The turbo spools the same as far as psi goes. I know what psi I was running before and it seems to be the same after installing the PC. However, the power is much more instantaneous and causes the transmission to down shift accordingly. Even when towing the trailer, I didn’t feel like the amount of power it gave was causing stress or damage to the motor or drive component (that was one of my concerns). I can control my speed while towing and driving empty much better, which I believe is giving me the same if not better MPG. Before the PC, when I added Hot shots Secrets EDT, I could notice a difference in idle but also acceleration. With the PC installed, the truck has an equivalent amount of power with or without additive. I will likely still use it for its cleaning capabilities but will only use the maintenance dose now instead of the performance dose.**Update**2 months now and 1 snow storm. I haven’t had and CEL’s and loved that I could turn down my throttle sensitivity when we had 24″ of fresh snow. Being able to tame all that torque was key to keeping me on the road when it was snowing and icy. I am a bit surprised it didn’t trigger any CEL when my truck goes into “battery saver mode” on really cold morning -4 to 13 degrees F. When the grid heater cycles, it drops to 11 Volts, but no Check Engine Lights. Very happy with that. I will say, I would never use the “eco” mode if I weren’t in the snow! It makes the truck feel like a slug and very delayed turbo spool, but in the snow….perfect!*ONE MORE REVISION*So I have been using this a while and I will say there has still been no complications. I used this in conjunction with my Raceme ultra for a while and am not sure if I like it with the new software. It seems to mess with the shift points so the Aisin runs through the gears too quickly (not harsh or soft, just too fast). It shifted almost like normal when I put it on Tow/Haul mode but don’t necessarily prefer the downshifting all the time in that truck setting. I turned it off with the Raceme and miss the throttle response but feel the truck shifts more appropriately with the new Raceme. Transmission shift points depend on drive pressure as well as throttle position and when the throttle band is changed and made more sensitive, it effected the shift points to a point I didn’t think was safe for head pressure and engine boost.

Very good product. Installation is a breeze. Noticeable change in throttle response. Also shift points are higher in the power band. Highly recommended to all that hate the stock pedal delay.

Engine light came on after day 4
Check engine light came on on 4th day,, I had it on city +2 and that seemed ok, Anything higher made the truck change gears so fast and rev between 3000 and 4000 rpm, But removed it after light came on and returned it,, Truck only has 700 miles on it and i bought it because the throttle is sluggish.. ill deal with the sluggish throttle

Definitely commands throttle response
As for now I’ve simply installed the pedal commander and done some simple testing. My experience is that anything less than Sport mode still boasts tremendous throttle lag on my 2023 Ram 2500. This truck is extremely heavy (5” suspension lift and 37’s) so I’m giving it a curve here. Now in Sport + is where the money is. I’m running at Sport + 4 and loving it. Immediate acceleration. Very sensitive throttle which is how I like it.So far no loss of fuel mileage which wasn’t expected but certainly appreciated. I’ve read several reviews their trucks are barking tires on acceleration in their trucks. This may be possible in some of the smaller more lighter vehicles, but in tanks like mine you have to appreciate getting this big beast to roll and this commander does exactly that. Now if you wanna stomp into it I can imagine it will break traction, but having 37” tires I’m not looking for that.Will come back and update in 30 90 and 180 days. I was afraid of throwing codes, but zero have been displayed after following the easy installation instructions.

No complaints, works as intended, seemed quite pricey at the time but have been happy I got it, I keep mine cranked up because I hate the lag, it definitely improved the lag you would normally feel by a lot! Gives a feel of having a lot more HP without actually having anymore, does a great job at taking away the throttle lag for me, would buy again, was easy to install as well.
