Journaling to Find Mental Balance
Do you sometimes feel stressed, overwhelmed and need to find a place of peacefulness and tranquility?A place where you can jot down your thoughts, unwind find mental balance? If this is so , then you just found the perfect journal. The book “ Move Your Way Journal: A Year of Gentle Tracking for Energy, Joy, and Better Health” allows the reader to find a place to reflect through writing. This personalized writing tool provides the reader with a daily and monthly space for reflecting, tracking mood and even a nutrition guide. Also , the author states all we need will be a pen or pencil and begin jotting down thoughts, feelings , and moments. I personally recommend using your favorite writing utensil in order to become more motivated. Additionally, the book is divided into four chapters, one for each season of the year. Each season chapter includes stimulating quotes as well as examples of activities which one can engage in. Finally at the end the author congratulates the readers and adds an inspiring chapter titled “ Looking ahead which further motivates us.What I loved the most about this book was, unlike other journals which are strict logs or trackers, this one is carefree and calm and follows your own pace. You, the reader, are in control of your writing. The author also guides the readers on how to use the book suggesting to begin at any point. Thus reinforcing the importance of hydration and the mood tracker with the famous “ emojis”. This chapter complements the book and makes this journal complete. The Autumn quote resonated with me the most” Balance is strength in motion. As routines return and air grows crisp, Autumn invites you to ground yourself. ” I suggest utilizing this inspirational message to begin journaling and welcoming the different color leaves and cool weather into our daily lives. To conclude this review, I highly recommend purchasing this journal because it will not only provide you with mental peace but also be an inspirational guide thus providing a state of peacefulness and serene.

Track and Reflect and Stay Motivated!
At first glance, this “movement journal” seems pretty basic – like something you could create on your own. Upon further inspection, I discovered that this is much, much more – and so much better than anything you could create on your own. As someone who is always looking for new ways to keep myself motivated to exercise and eat healthy, but never being able to stay consistent with tracking and/or staying focused and inspired, I found the format of this journal easy to follow and helpful in a way that doesn’t make it seem like I “have to” do anything extra. The journal is divided into the four sections, representing the four seasons (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter), each of which is color-coded. At the start of each month, there are “reflection questions” to help you set goals – and at the end of each month, there are “reflection activities” where you can document the achievements that you felt most proud of, etc. I think this helps to keep you motivated to move into the next month with a positive mindset. In between, there is a page for each day of the month, with sections to track such things as meals, movement/exercise and hydration, as well as energy level, mood, and things you were grateful for. They’re easy to complete and a great “visual” of what you’ve accomplished so you stay motivated to accomplish more. I think this is especially important when you don’t consistently have people around to encourage you, and if you have a rough day, you can look back at previous days to see your progress.Don’t feel bad if you miss a day or if you have a bad day or if you didn’t do everything you wanted to do. You just turn the page and start again. I’ve been using the journal for about a week, and I plan to keep going. (Also, you don’t have to start in January – because you fill out the dates yourself). Give it a try and see what you think!

Easy to use journal–great for beginners or if you have high resistance to journaling!
So you know how journaling is great for your mental health and well being, but some days, it’s just super difficult to actually sit down and do it? This journal makes it super easy! Basically it just lays out 365 days of 1/2 page per day journaling where you log movement “moments” for morning/noon/evening and then “nourishment” for the same + snacks. You also do 1 gratitude/win of the day, and it helps you log hydration (8 cups of water a day) and your general mood/energy. It gives you a small place of monthly reflection that’s also only a half page where you can look back and journal just 1-2 note summaries of your month (with prompts). It is also divided up into seasons with some reflection questions. Basically because it is SO short, this is going to be great for someone who is just trying to get into the habit of journaling because you’re just filling out half a day of super basic notes on your general health and mood. So this is going to be really good for someone who is also trying to establish some healthy habits (moving more, eating more healthily, etc). It’s also nice to look back to see how well you did on a given month or see ways you can improve if there was like a month you barely moved at all.I would also say that if you’re an experienced journaler or looking for a lot more space to journal and reflect, this is probably not going to be a good one for you just because there’s not very much space for it. At most, it gives you a few pages at the very end to write whatever random things you want, but within the daily pages, there’s basically no space. So again, I think this is going to be really good for someone who is struggling with getting into journaling or healthy habits and wants an easy tracker for encouragement that’s really low resistance because it’s super easy!
