Best lock on the market as of 2025!
I have always been a tech guy, and I like to keep my house up to date with the latest and greatest smart tech. I have owned 5 different types of electronic/wifi locks for my house, and they were all pretty slick.. but this lock is in a class COMPLETELY by itself. I have owned it for several months now, and I still am amazed by how this thing works. So here are the things that stand out about this lock: It is completely effortless and lightning fast to unlock your door. When you walk up to it, it senses motion and wakes up, then you simply hold your hand up a few inches in front of it, and in less than a half of a second, the door unlocks. It does it so fast that it feels like it reads your mind. On my previous locks, they all had fingerprint scanners and keypads. The fingerprint scanners were my primary method of unlocking, but if my hands were wet or dirty, half the time the lock would not read correctly and I would get an error. Sometimes I had to scan my finger 3 or 4 times to finally get it to unlock. With this Lockin smart lock, it doesn’t matter if your hands are wet or dirty.. it reads your palm and unlocks EVERY time. As a matter of fact, of the hundreds of times I have used it, I do not believe it has ever failed a single time to read my palm. My whole family loves it, because of the reliability and speed! On top of the genius palm reading tech, it also has a keypad, and a camera! It’s a very sleek, nice looking lock, heavy duty, and has a nice rechargeable battery pack. I would challenge anyone to find a more convenient, and more reliable lock anywhere. I can confidently say, this may be the best lock on the market as of 2025.

Reliable, Accessible, and Packed with Smart Features
We love this lock. It’s sturdy, intuitive, and clearly built with quality in mind. Installation took a bit longer than expected—my husband had to adjust the magnetic component to fit our door—but once installed, setup was smooth and straightforward.I chose this lock with my daughter in mind, who has special needs. It took a little practice, but she’s now able to open the door independently. Other family members had no trouble using the palm reader or fingerprint scanner, and I appreciate that each person can have their own code. The app lets me track who locks and unlocks the door, which adds peace of mind.The video feed is crisp, and the two-way talk feature is a game changer. I can remind my daughter to place her finger on the sensor or speak to anyone at the door. I also love being able to lock/unlock remotely and set temporary passcodes for one-time access.One downside: the motion alerts are overly sensitive. Even with the range set to the minimum (3 feet), passing cars still trigger notifications. Because of this, I’ve had to replace the battery once already—but I keep a spare charged and ready.The app itself is excellent. It’s user-friendly, shows battery levels, and makes charging or swapping batteries easy with a USB-C cable.Overall, this lock has made our home more secure and accessible. Highly recommended.

The palm vein video smart lock is hands-down one of the most impressive pieces of smart home tech we’ve added to our home. It combines cutting-edge security with convenience in a way that feels futuristic but is surprisingly easy to use.The biometric feature is the standout palm vein scanning is fast, touchless, and incredibly secure. Unlike fingerprints (which can fail with dirty or wet hands), this method works almost every time and is nearly impossible to spoof. It feels like something out of a sci-fi movie but performs flawlessly.

Pros:This lock has a solid, heavy-duty build. It feels like a real security upgrade compared to a basic deadbolt. Definitely gives me more peace of mind.The included installation guide was surprisingly good. It had clear diagrams and step-by-step help made setup manageable, even with the heavier hardware.The palm vein recognition is genuinely quick and very accurate. The fingerprint scanner also works without fail. It’s been nice not having to dig around for keys anymore.You can use palm scan, fingerprint, passcode, the app, or a physical key. I love the flexibility, especially when guests are over or if I need to unlock the door remotely.So far, the 7-month battery estimate seems accurate. It hasn’t needed charging yet, and the app provides a low battery warning well in advance.The app lets me monitor usage and share temporary access codes, which is super useful when I am away from home.The lock automatically engages the deadbolt when the door closes after a preset time, which is great for security but I’ve had to be careful not to shut the door when the deadbolt is already out. If you’re not paying attention, the bolt can hit the door frame which could cause wear or damage over time.Cons:Right now, it only comes in a dark/black finish. I would’ve preferred a satin nickel or brushed steel option to match my existing door handle and hardware. It stands out a bit more than I’d like.It’s definitely on the expensive side.
