Way beat my expectations
I was a little dubious about this drive when I got it. I’m used to buying nice Barracuda HDDs, and the idea of getting a cheap Amazon SSD and trusting my data to it seemed foolhardy. But I’ve had this one for over 3 years now, and it performs like a champ! While I do use a back up drive, just in case, I’ve never had trouble with this one.These are smal, lightweight, quiet, don’t heat up, and have the speed and capacity that they are labeled to have. On top of that, they’re usually a good deal on Amazon. I’d definitely buy one again.

Lexar is a good brand name
The Lexar name has been around for at least a couple of decades, so it’s a brand name that I personally trust.Got this to replace my 2 HDDs I previously set up as a RAID 1 (mirror). The TLC (Triple Layer Cell) NAND technology is an affordable option, and good enough for loading and holding game libraries.Just like any other drive, it’s easy to install, plug in, and format for use!

For the price it’s worth purchasing it. It’s been a month now since I’ve purchased and installed it in my 7 year ASUS laptop and it feels like a brand new laptop. I’ve also upgraded the memory RAM so everything runs smooth and the bootup time is about 5 seconds. No more lags and waiting for webpage to open up. I think newer laptops and desktops should be replaced with SSD’s or M.2 drives over the HDD. But…they are way more expensive. My advice for everyone….if you purchase a new laptop or desktop that still has HDD in them…replace it right away. Use the SSD for your OS and bootup time while you use your HDD as a storage drive. It’s something to think about folks! POWER ON!
