The base plate is Copper
UPDATE: I was contacted by the seller due to my comment about the base plate being aluminum not copper. According to the seller the base plate is copper but has been electroplated with nickel. I checked this comment from the seller by getting the CPU cooler and using some fine grit emery paper on the bottom of the base plate. Sure enough it seems that the bases actually copper with a plating on top of it. Going to revise my rating due to this fact. I have already completed my build using a different cooler, however I am going to change rating to 5 stars due to the new information from the seller.I ordered this CPU cooler for a PC that I am building. I needed an all white cooler for which this cooler seemed to be perfect for. I opened the box and included was the heatsink, 2 white fans, mounting hardware for both Intel and AMD motherboards and instructions. the heatsink did not have any thermal paste preapplied, but there was a pouch included to be applied by the installer. IT appears to be enough for 1 application, so get it installed on the first try.The fans seem to be well made, have power cables that can be daisy-chained together so that you only need 1 header and the same goes for the ARGB cables. The fans are very quiet at low speeds and should provide plenty of cooling. My only complaint about this coioler is that it is made from 100% aluminum. According to the description of the product, the heatsink is comprised of both aluminum and copper. Because of the description, I was expecting the base plate of the heatsink to be copper, but it is not – it is also aluminum. While aluminum is a decent heat conductor, it is not as good as copper.I am taking away 2 stars from this review – one for the fact that the base plate is aluminum and another for the inaccureate description that this heatsink is made from both aluminum and copper.

Cheap air cooler with decent cooling potential.
Built a lot of PC over the years. This unit is a very competitive price point. Decent weight to it. Will be curious to test thermals for this in the near future, especially since it has a similar design to some competitive air coolers I’ve run in the past. Fins seem noticably less likely to cut me than I’ve seen in many other heatsinks. Based on construction, guessing this heatsink will provide adequate cooling for most mainstream CPUs, but I generally steer towards closed loop for higher end CPUs. Included instructions seem pretty basic, but adequate.

A lesser known brand for a similar performance and slightly cheaper price
To effectively cool a Ryzen 7 5700X3D processor in my ATX build, I was looking for a dual-tower air cooler that could manage its thermal output without excessive noise. The baseline expectation for a cooler of this size is to keep the CPU well within its safe operating temperatures during sustained loads, offering a significant improvement over stock or single-tower solutions. The cooler itself presents a substantial dual-tower design, and the installation process was a key part of the evaluation. The build quality feels solid, and the process of mounting it to an AM4 motherboard was straightforward. Despite its large size, there were no clearance issues with memory modules or the case side panel in a standard ATX build. The white finish and ARGB lighting offer a clean aesthetic for visually focused systems. In terms of thermal performance, the cooler was benchmarked with my 5700X3D under both idle and load conditions. At idle, temperatures ranged from the high 30s to mid 40s Celsius. Under a full synthetic load, temperatures consistently hovered between 75°C and 80°C. These results are well within the optimal operating range for this CPU. It is important to note these figures were achieved with default fan settings and can vary based on motherboard controls and ambient room temperature.Assessing its overall value, the KINGCOOL Iron Wind 120 is a capable cooler for a specific range of processors. The performance data suggests it is more than adequate for lower TDP CPUs like the Ryzen 5 5600 and can comfortably handle moderate CPUs up to, according to what they claim, 260W TDP CPUs. Therefore, it stands as a competent and aesthetically pleasing cooling solution, offering reliable thermal management for a wide array of mainstream PC builds.

Cool, quiet, and looks great in white
Upgraded to this cooler from stock AM4 wraith and I’m impressed. The dual towers and six heat pipes do a fantastic job keeping temps down during heavy loads. Even under long gaming sessions or rendering work the CPU stays comfortably in the low to mid 60s.The two 120 mm fans are quiet below 1000rpm, and even at not terrible at full speed. They deliver strong airflow without being annoying. The ARGB lighting is crisp and adds a nice visual touch in my build. The white finish blends in cleanly with my setup and makes the colors pop.Installation was straightforward. It supports both AMD AM4 / AM5 and Intel LGA 1851 / 1700 sockets, so compatibility was no issue. Once mounted it stays solid and feels durable. If you want a cooler that keeps your CPU safe, runs quietly, and adds a bit of style to your PC, this is a solid pick. Five stars.
