Perfect for Our Porch Lights – Easy to Use and Reliable
This smart plug has been a game changer for our “party lights” on the screened-in porch. We can set timers, turn the lights on and off remotely, and never have to worry about resetting a traditional timer if the power goes out.Setup with Alexa was quick and easy, and it’s been working flawlessly ever since. The app is straightforward, the connection has been solid, and the weather-resistant design gives peace of mind outdoors.Overall, it’s reliable, convenient, and exactly what we needed. Highly recommended if you want simple smart control for your outdoor lights or other devices!

Great Smart Plug
This is a straightforward Smart plug. Works really well and was easy to set up in the Kasa app. Make sure to follow the suggested instructions on how to install it so that you don’t get water into the plug and short it out. I had that happen to me on the first one I bought, but it was 100% on me for not thinking it through. Connected easily and responds very fast to Google home commands.

I can’t believe I’m writing a review.
I never write reviews but this one I felt I needed to. I’ve had at least 2 other brands of outdoor smart plugs in the past. They were a pain to get connected, buggy, poor directions etc….I would spend way too much time trying to get them to connect, sometimes giving up, then try again the next day and I’d get it, but never understanding what I did…so I decided to try this brand. Game changer…easy peasy. Directions actually work, The app works, not frills just works great!!

Great to remote control your outdoor lights through Alexa / Phone
We used this for our patio lights and connected it with Alexa. I love that it can be voice controlled and set to turn on at dusk and off at a specific time. Easy to set up and works really well.

Works as intended but a little ornery to set up
I have been using Kasa smart plugs inside my house for a couple of years now, and have found them to be quite satisfactory for the price, so when I wanted to expand the system to include my deck lights, a Kasa Wi-Fi Outdoor Plug was the logical choice since it uses my existing Kasa/Google ecosystem. For reasons I don’t fully understand, getting this smart plug set up and running on my wi-fi network was a little more complicated than with the indoor smart plugs. For whatever reason, it would not go into setup mode when plugged in on the deck, where it would ultimately reside. After several tries, I moved it first to the kitchen and then to the living room, where my wi-fi router is located, before I was able to successfully complete the setup and then move it to the deck, plug it in out there and connect the lights. The network now recognizes and communicates with on the deck it just fine. Once it was fully registered on the Kasa app, it took just a few seconds to also register it on my Google Home app, giving me voice control via my Google Nest speakers as well as control from my smart phone. The best part of all is finally being able to turn my deck lights on and off remotely and without having to fumble with the plug in the dark—or even go outside. The smart plug has only just been installed so time will tell how well it holds up to the elements.

Works just as well as products that cost more
Tired of having to adjust timers based on sun up/sun down, daylight savings time, or sensors that just don’t seem to work all that well? It is time to give up the old way of connecting outdoor lights and using something better, and this is that something.Sure there are other brands out there that cost considerably more, but they don’t do anything more than this does. And while you can find “timers” that cost less, they do far less and are far less reliable. The pairing process is braindead simple and doesn’t require a separate hub. From there it is one simple step to add it to Alexa or Google Home. You can then do things like set them to go on at “sunset” and just forget about it, no need to adjust for DST or changing daylight hours. Of course, if you do want to override it for some reason, you can simply tell Alexa (or Google) to just turn it on. Or if you don’t happen to have your phone on you, or aren’t near your assistant, there is a button to tap to turn it on.The casing is solid and well made, durable and feels substantial, and has survived through summer and winter weather and continued to work without issue. Stop messing with inferior product, and certainly don’t overpay when you don’t need to do so, this Kasa version is everything you need. I have both the single outlet and double outlet (which gives each outlet a separate id so they can be turned on or off individually if you so choose), and both are superior products and well worth the price asked for them.

Weatherproof outdoor dimmer. Comes with a rubber flap to cover the outlet if nothing is plugged in. There’s a button on the unit to turn it on/off and dim. Main control with more features is done through the Kasa app. It’s a well laid out app with editing and personalization abilities. You can set a timer to turn the light on or off. You can also create a schedule for one-time or daily operations. You can even choose the dim level. There is also an away feature for when you’re on vacation. The package also contains a wire clip to hold the unit against the wall using the 4” cord. The great thing with the Kasa app is that you can control all of your Kasa items from one page. Kasa offers switches, dimmer switches, motion switches, motion dimmer switches, 3-way switches, switched outlets, power strips, dual exterior outlets and this single exterior dimmer outlet. I currently own multiples of each of these items for over a year now and I’ve been very satisfied with the experience. I have had no issues with any device and the app has worked flawlessly. Currently, all items only work with 2.4G (no 5G). If you’re looking to start creating a smart home, Kasa offers a wide range of items for your whole house. It’s better to get items that all use the same app to make things simpler and more convenient. The only thing missing, that I hope Kasa will eventually release, is the remote switches that Lutron offers for their switches. Their Decora style switches and dimmer switches are linked to a dedicated Lutron switch. You can then mount these remote switches in other locations, converting a single-pole switch into a 3-way. They even offer the mounting hardware and cover plate that looks like a wired switch. You can also leave these switches on tables, or wherever a switch would be most convenient for you. If Kasa were to offer their own remote switches to control their light switches and outlets, it would be the perfect smart home system. Other than that, they’ve covered everything else.

Ampliamente recomendable.
