    Looks nice and is metal
I like the product and think it could slow someone down. I do however think someone with a small flat head could probably get this off easily. Some screw caps would be nice to add or even screws that bolt on from the side making it more difficult to remove.

An Inconvenient Deterrent, but not Full Proof
When I ordered this I knew the expectations were to deter the common car thief, by slowing down their attempt to access the OBDII. By no means is this meant to be a fool proof system and keep the professional thieves away. In fact, a simple flathead screwdriver can defeat the security screws, which are the triangular (isosceles) in shape. The screws themselves may have been modified or stamped from a standard screw. The accompanying screwdriver/key didn’t fit very well into the screws, hence the 4-stars. I ended up using a small flathead screwdriver to install/tighten the screws in. I also painted the item black to kind of blend in with the rest of the interior trim. I gave the installed device a tug, with a small amount of force, didn’t move, but do wonder how easy it would be to forcibly pull off the device from the OBDII. Installed on a Chevy SS.

High quality OBD2 lock, perfect fit for Civic but does not fit Forester port
Really high quality aluminum and includes plenty of extra screws in case you lose one. No slip or wiggle room between the locking bracket and cover once installed. Triangle bit is not that rare though, so it’s of limited deterrence security. Reason for 3 stars is because while this JUTA OBD2 lock perfectly fits 2022-2026 Honda Civic all trims, it fails to fit 2019-2024 Subaru Forester OBD2 port, as there’s just not enough space or gap to slide the locking cover piece in.

    nearly invisible
Newer cars are becoming easier to steal. Electronic defeat systems are sold on the internet without safety checks. The more barriers a thief has to take your car, the less likely it will be stolen. This is a simple, low price item that will either make it more difficult for someone to take what is yours, or impossible. It is made of strong aluminum and I am sure will last a long time. The special tool to remove the cover is small, so make sure you do not lose it. If there is one drawback, it would be how easy it would be to lose it. Regardless, I feel better having this cover in place.

Great way to stop casual car prowlers but will only slow down professionals.
Installation is pretty straight forward but slightly awkward, which it was always going to be because of the placement of the OBD2 on my RAV4. You have to squat down next to your car and come at the port from below and an weird angle. Beyond that its easy and straight forward. This is a great cheap way to frustrate casual thieves. It won’t prevent a professional thief who has a full tool bag ready to go. The screw key can be found in most tech screwdriver kits but if your thief is not carrying that around, he is done with your car.Removal was equally awkward to installation, but you must remember to do this yourself before taking to the garage for maintenance as they need access to the OBD2 port and you don’t want to pay their $200 per hour fee to remove your socket lock.It fits perfectly into the RAV4 port, looks very high quality, and functions as a solid deterrent to modern thieves, and does so for a cheap price.

Good defense against key cloning theft.
I bought this for use in my 2024 (g20) BMW 330i xDrive. I honestly didn’t expect it to fit because the description stated that it was not for use with “recessed” OBD2 ports, but I figured it was worth a try as I could always use it in one of my other vehicles if it didn’t fit. I put the base in place and it fit perfectly. The top went on a little bit snugly, because the base left very little room for the tab on the top to squeeze in between the base wall and the side of the port. Before I put the screws in to lock it in place, I tested the removal process, as it’s inevitable that either the dealer or I might need to utilize the port at some point. Removal required that I utilize a flat blade pry tool slipped in between the base and the port, in order to release the tab on the side of the port that holds the base in place. Once I was certain that I could remove it if needed, I reinstalled and secured with the supplied screws. I keep the specialized screwdriver in the small case that holds my owner’s manual in my glovebox. Even if a perspective thief is able to find the screwdriver, they won’t be able to remove it without the thin flat pry tool so I don’t believe this presents much of a risk versus me losing the screwdriver if I kept it in my house somewhere. I’m very satisfied that this will serve as a theft deterrent to a key cloning attempt. It’s well made, relatively inexpensive for what you get, and just hard enough to remove that any experienced thief will move along to the next vehicle rather than spend the time trying to remove it.

Seems like it is easy to remove just by forcing a bit. Did not try but I am not 100% sure it is efficient to prevent access to the port.
