Spend the extra to get a good product
Good fit and works great. Returned a similar product that didn’t fit well and seemed cheap. This product was easy to install good quality and was a good fit for my 2019 F350

Works for narrow top, wide bottom obd setup.
The magnet is only strong enough to be installed with the obd wide side down. I could not use it because mine is wide side up. It was likely to stay locked even if I tried to unlock it. But it is a high quality material. But I recommend looking hard at your outlet first.

Worked well on several different ports, just be careful not to break it!
I’ve been using this off and on for a couple months now. One thing to point out that most people are misunderstanding, is that this item IS NOT a security device. We use it on vehicles with tunes or software that you don’t want other techs or the dealership messing with. I have already had a few times where they went in and cleared something “just to read the data” and it screwed it up big time. The shell of it is durable enough, and it’s easy to install. Functionally though, I had some issue getting it just to come off and on, and just as the pictures showed it felt like it was going to snap each time it got stuck. I was lucky that it didn’t. So it fits okay on all of our ports, and it’s a decent value for being all machined aluminum. Just not sure I would trust this thing not to get stuck on the port forever.

Won’t unlock! Avoid!
UPDATE: after a couple hours with files and different types of cutting wheels on my dremel, I was able to get it off. The defect was with one of the locking tabs; it had broken off after the cover was installed, causing it to get wedged and not be able to unlock. Luckily, no damage to my car, only bruised elbows and knees from 2 hour of being under the front dash. Frustration doesn’t even begin to describe this experience!DON’T, JUST DON’T! Installing was pretty straight forward, but removing the cover is a nightmare. One side unlocked after jiggling the magnetic “key” a few times, but the other side refused to unlocked, no matter what I tried. I swapped keys, slowed the key insertion speed, quickened the insertion speed, flipped the keys 180*, jiggled the keys. Nothing worked. I am now trying to cut off the thing, but my dremel can’t reach all the way. I will have to bring it to my mechanic and pay them to cut it off. If you never had to access your obd2 port ever again, this would work fine, but we all have to smog check our cars eventually. Big fail!

I own a vehicle that is known for getting stolen through the ODB2 port (Acura TLX). I picked this up for a little added physical security.Install: Not the easiest, but not that bad. Put the collar on, then, making sure the flaps are correct on the second piece, put the second piece on. Give it a pull to make sure it is seated correctly.Removal: A bit of a pain, but if it’s a pain for you, it is more of a pain for a bad actor.Quality: Nice aluminum. Well built. Looks nice.Fit: Fits a standard port, but you need to have room around the port. If it is recessed and a tight fit, you might have a problem.
