Best RGB color for Budget Mini-LED
Bought the budget TCL mini-led QM5K 50 inch and everything about it was perfect (Google TV) but the color was a little off and not sure if that is a one-off issue, or if all 5K’s are like that. Very impressive with vibrant colors and smooth clear images, but it didn’t have a wide range in the yellow and orange colors. It was a little limited even after trying all sorts of color calibrations and adjustments. Bought this TV and it does have smooth play issues (stuttering) at the beginning of Prime Video. After about a minute, it is okay. Tried both Ethernet and WIFI and it didn’t matter. Haven’t tried my fire or Roku stick yet, but I might. If this Hisense had Google TV, I would have bought two, no question. I don’t like Fire much. As for the color, I use the “Custom” setting for Picture Mode and the color is EXACTLY the way I like it. It’s so good, I didn’t even check the other settings. I use the same exact numbers for HLG, HDR10, and “standard video (like youtube) and live TV”. Having “Skin Tone Control” really helps add more color without over-saturation. I didn’t see that on my TCL. Not sure if the AI chip learns the signal format, but it does seem to improve the more I use it. Not a lot, but it does seem smoother and clearer now than out of the box. Another win for this TV over the 5K is I have it hooked up to a Vizio sound bar. On this TV, when you adjust the volume, it gives a number value (10,12,14) but the TCL just shows + or -. I like to see the number volume value. Since Fire isn’t intuitive for setting, you have to disconnect the eARC HDMI cable, THEN adjust your bass/treble, then plug it back in. (huh?) to add depth to the sound bar. Hisense does need to tweak this model a little bit, and if they do, it will be very much a value win as a mini-led at this price point and is very much worth it. I almost went with a QLED, but glad I spent the extra $100 or so for mini-led.

Amazing TV for the price
The picture quality gets strong praise: the Mini-LED backlighting (on the 2025 model) plus QLED quantum-dot color delivers rich, vibrant hues and solid contrast.Gaming features are very good for the price: native 144 Hz refresh rate, VRR (variable refresh rate), and Game Mode Pro support. Great if you use the TV for console/PC gaming.Value for size/features: for an 85-inch screen with many strong specs, several reviewers felt the price was very competitive.

Don’t Ignore the Bad Reviews Like I Did
Heed my warning!I saw a few bad reviews of this TV saying that it worked fine for a short time and then the screen would start flickering / stuttering / change colors etc.. I thought it was the minority and figured I’d be alright and took the chance since I felt like I was getting a good deal. I ordered this 85” TV.I paid extra to have the delivery people unpack the tv for me and let me examine it so I could have them return it if there was any damage. Out of the box it looked great cosmetically. Plugged the TV in and didn’t have any issues. Sent my delivery guys on their way.I did the initial setup of the Fire TV software (which took some time due to Amazon having technical issues that day but eventually got it running). Looked great. Mounted it on the wall and all was well. For about an hour, if that.Out of nowhere, the screen started looking exactly like the other pictures I’ve seen on here. Color distortion and lines on the screen. My heart sank.At first it was still technically watchable, but eventually it got to the point where the entire screen dimmed to black, then we got solid lines on the screen and it was not usable in any way.The good thing about this experience is that Amazon delivered and picked up for free. I returned the TV and did get a refund, so really all I lost was time. But it was very disappointing. I ended up investing a bit more money into a Samsung and it was worth it as we have not had a problem.

Great TV awesome price!
I’ve had this for a month. Awesome TV. Setup was relatively easy and picture quality is outstanding. The price is unbeatable for. Mini LED and it’s one of the few mini LEDs in this size. I wanted a TV under 55” and this is great. Wish it came in 42”, I don’t like giant TVs. In room delivery from Amazon was also great def recommend it.

Tv is nice but the OS isn’t very good.
The screen is huge and picture is very nice. I’m not a fan of the fire tv os. It’s a bit laggy and has a weird screen sleep setting that makes it go to sleep after a minute or 2 and when I wake it up it resorts back to the homepage. The ambient mode straight up does not work at all. I’m hoping a software update will fix those issues, but I kinda regret not getting the Google version of this TV.

Outstanding Picture Quality
Outstanding picture and easy set up and navigate. For the price you pay for this TV you’ll be hard pressed to find a more expensive television with the quality picture you get with this Hisense. I have Samsung and LG OLED TVs and this picture with the Mini-LED is unbelievable. I highly recommend this television. Sound is good but always better with high end speakers. Not heavy so makes for easy installation if mounting.

Big TV, big picture, great brightness!
I have had this tv for a few months now and I don’t have much to complain about. There are things I like and things I wish were better. Over all though, i am happy with it. The one thing I have noticed is the audio lag with the picture. I find myself trying to adjust it on my blurays and 4k movies all the time. Picture 4k looks good. Like really good! This TV with a good audio source is like a theater in your livingroom.

TV – You get what you pay for.
This is a good TV and it is inexpensive, but you get what you pay for and the depth of color and picture definition suffers. If you want a good TV you need to pay a few more dollars.
