Works great for controlling outdoor lights
We got this smart plug for our Christmas lights and it works great. We have several GHome switches in our house and have been pleased with them all. The app is very user friendly and intuitive.This switch was extremely simple to add to the app and get set up. Most of the time with these devices they need to update the firmware on the first use, and it automatically prompts you when setting it up and takes no time at all. I like that because it makes sure on your first use the product is going to be as up to date as possible.Both sides of the switch are independently programable via the app which makes it very handy for multiple items to get powew. You can choose to have the sockets activate at a set time. You can program it for different days of the week to do different things. It is extremely versatile and easy to use.We have it hooked up under a covered area so I can’t speak to its weather proofing, but given their reputation I would believe whatever the listing says about it. It’s time to upgrade your old light timer to something like this….you won’t regret it!

Great build quality and excellent performance
The build quality is solid. The setup was a breeze. I love to be able to control the switch and set the timer from my phone. It’s incredibly convenient. Plus the weather resistant design gives me peace of mind because I am going to connect it to the rope lights in my backyard for decoration. Good job Ghome and highly recommended!

Not outdoor or waterproof
Not water proof. First time that it rained, the light plugged into it was flashing. I checked it and the unit was full of water. Even after drying it out, but the unit will not work right now
