Quality, Reliable, & Simple
I ordered another set bulbs for some elderly family members for a set of lights that don’t have a switch. They’d have to climb a small, 3 step ladder to turn the bulbs into the on position. But due to their health, are unable to make the climb anymore. Those bulbs didn’t connect to the electric power of the house. They worked only after charging. The remote was also “hit-or-miss” and therefore unreliable. The size of the remote was also quite small compared with the GE bulbs. These GE bulbs on the other hand work on the home’s electrical power, the remote is larger, solid and clearly marked. It was also easy to explain how to operate to elders who have a difficult time with technology some times. The remote works at distances across the room and from different angles. Though it’s not necessary for this application, the color changing option is a bonus. For the intended purpose these bulbs were bought, they are perfect and very happy with them. Also, these bulbs are about the same price for the subpar bulbs bought before. We will probably purchase more for lights downstairs to save them a trip. And for people who are caregivers, stairs can be hazardous for some people they help. Which brings me more peace of mind.

Pleasantly surprised
I don’t like the apps that come with most bulbs like this so it is nice to just have a remote. It is way easier, IMO to press button, than open your phone, an app, have it scan for it, just to do a simple task. So that is why I bought these and it does that well. The RGB features are basic, but I only wanted to choose a single color so that works for me.I was surprised how good the normal daylight and warm white were for an RGB bulb. I have bought other bulbs and the color rendering was not good. I find this good. Some bulbs allow for more adjustability but given that these two settings are actually pleasant, I appreciate the simple approach. Colors are as expected, it took me a bit to research each button has basically two similar colors (or same color but a different variation May be a better way to state it). Range of remote is good, no WiFi is appreciated as well.This is either a pro or a con but multiple bulbs will all be on the same setting if within range. That may be obvious but because they catch the signal well, that means it’s challenging to only trigger one bulb. For me it is a pro but if you desire otherwise, you probably want something that is Bluetooth/wifi and app based. I didn’t want that so I was pleasantly surprised to find something like this still exists.

Nice bulbs but remote interferes with tv
Very nice bukbs with a nice range of color and dimming settings. I mostly bought these for when regular bulbs are too much for my migraines and they seem to be working well for that.I had an issue where the remote wasn’t working when I oulled out the plastic piece, but removing the battery catridge and then putting it back in fixed that. The only other issue so far is that some buttons on the remote affect my Vizio tv, so be aware that turning on a yellow light might turn on Netflix too. “Hiding” the remote behind something so it wasn’t pointed at the tv fixed that problem but it’s a bit annoying.

Change the Battery!
I just received my first set, and my remote wouldn’t work. But then I remembered, a previous post, about the battery. I forgot who the author was, but I can confirm that the remote requires a CR2032 battery to work properly (not the CR2025 included). I just happened to have a spare (from Dollar Tree). Also, I put the bulbs into a pair of 1970s Gilbert mushroom lamps, and the remote works through their plastic shades (all functions). And I’ll be buyin’ more to replace some dead smart bulbs.

Lights look great- remote battery was bad
These lights look fantastic. I ordered 2 sets, and one of the remotes did not work at all. I removed the CR2025 battery and tested it: 3.3 volts, so it should have worked. Put the battery back in and it still didn’t work. I then put a new Energizer CR2032 battery in. The 2032 is thicker than the 2025, with a higher capacity. The remote started working. Not sure if the added thickness allowed it to make contact or what, but at least I didn’t have to send it back. I do feel like they owe me a battery, though. One other remote note: be sure you are pointing it in the right direction, with the color buttons at the bottom. You also have to get pretty close (6 feet?) from the bulb and point directly at it, at least in the recessed cans I have mine in.The colors look amazing, and the white light is much more pleasant than the standard soft white GE LEDs I had in there previously. I’m guessing that these lights are more full spectrum for better color. One star removed for the remote hassle.

I love how I can turn both of my lamps on at the same time. Don’t really need the colors but it’s novel once in a while. Also love how I can easily dim them both the same level at the same time and that they don’t need wi-fi. They work well!

Love these so much!! Super bright and connects right away. I got tired of having to get up to turn of the lights lol and I love that these are so bright and can get so dim. I put them in my ceiling fan so I just keep it on and use the remote to turn off. One remote works for all 3. So happy with this!!

Colors work good. Brightness perfect for what I need. Alexa connection didn’t try yet. Longevity don’t know yet. Remote control doesn’t work until I put it right under the bulb and this will be reason to try some other bulb.
