    Excellent product
I’ve been running for 40 years and finally bought a Garmin. I must be a Luddite, as for decades I was happy with my Timex Ironman watch. Then a family member gave me an Apple watch, and I really liked the functionality and GPS feature. The problem with the Apple watch is the battery life–a 20+ mile run really drains the battery (this may partially be due to the fact I’ve gotten really slow), so I finally purchased a Garmin. Readers of this review should note that I am not a “power user” and mainly use the GPS and timing functions.Having said all that, I really like the product! It is very easy to use and pretty intuitive. It is surprising how well it communicates with my iPhone–messages show up, Gmail notifications show up and the Garmin Connect app tracks activity. Plus there are the ancillary functions such as alarms, sleep tracking, etc. Best of all, I did a 22 mile run today and the battery was still 78% charged! Not sure why I waited so long to make the switch to Garmin. Highly recommended.

This Watch Is Training for 26.2 With Me
🏃‍♀️ Marathon Training Game-Changer:I bought the Forerunner 265 to train for my first marathon—and it’s quickly become one of the most important tools I own. It tracks everything: pace, heart rate, distance, effort, recovery. But more than that, it keeps me consistent and keeps me believing.Whether I’m on the road, the treadmill, or doing yoga for recovery, this watch adapts. It’s teaching me how to train smart—not just hard.⏱️ Performance & Customization:AMOLED screen is crisp and readable mid-strideThe 46mm face + large font makes it easy to glance at pace or distance without missing a beatI customized my run screen to show just pace + distance + HR, which has kept me focused and groundedI use it to monitor Body Battery and HRV—which helps me know when I need a rest day or when I’m ready to push🌙 Surprise Feature I Grew to Love:At one point, the screen went completely red—I thought it was broken. It wasn’t. It was a setting I’d activated by accident… and it became my signature look. That red face ended up giving me confidence every time I glanced down. It looked like focus. Like fire. Like belief.

    Huge Upgrade
I was absolutely devastated when the body of my Forerunner 645 music broke… I loved the look, size and functionality and I was pretty attached to it after all the places it’s been with me. Finally gave up trying to fix it and spend weeks agonizing over what to get….I was mostly going to use it to track my hikes in NH, as well as my runs and other exercises. Music and altimeter/barometer were important to me. I was afraid to go with AMOLED after only having MIP bc of complaints about not being able to see it in sunlight (and I’m constantly outdoors). Size and weight were important bc I’m 5 ft tall and have really small wrists. The battery had to last bc I often camp and hike and recharging my watch would be annoying. Finally pulled the trigger on the 265S and I absolutely love it. I find that with all the extra data it tracks, I use it more and I’m more in sync with my body and my training. I love the morning report it gives me to tell me how I slept. The training readiness, body battery and stress ratings all give me a solid statistic to how I’m feeling. The size and weight is perfect for my wrist and I don’t feel it when I’m wearing it (AKA all day every day except in the shower). The screen is super crisp and bright and I have had 0 issues with being able to see it in the sunlight and the touchscreen is honestly a game changer. I attached my card to it and now that’s my favorite way to pay for coffee. I feel like the battery lasts as long, if not longer, than my old watch (on screen off mode).I wanted a solar Fenix for longer battery use, but the sheer weight put me off it for every day use, not to mention the price. Speaking of price and size, for me, the extras on the Forerunner 965 were not worth the price tag (I’m exercising to eat, not to compete) and it didn’t come in a smaller size.My one and only complaint is that when the screen turns off (which you can put on screen always on mode but it’ll drain the battery faster) and you have to twist your wrist to get the screen on, it’s not particularly sensitive and I sometimes have to twist my wrist multiple times or just give up and tap it for it to come on. Definitely an annoyance, but the screen does stay on during exercise. I did get a different watch band, simply for aesthetics. All things being equal, the functionality of the watch, sheer amount of data, and user friendly interface far outweighs the annoyance of the screen wrist sensitivity issue. Highly recommend.

Has been the better shop in the last time! I love it. It gives me the time of the sunset <3It allows stopping a sport recording, getting back to the main screen while it is stopped

Me encanta.

As someone who used to wear an Apple Watch, switching to the Garmin Forerunner 265 has been a game-changer. I’m a passionate cyclist and train almost every day, and this watch gives me everything I was missing with Apple: accurate heart rate tracking (especially with a chest strap), better GPS battery life, and metrics that actually help you improve. The AMOLED screen is bright and beautiful, and the watch still lasts me 3–4 days with everything turned on — and 1–2 days even with long cycling sessions tracked. You can also optimize GPS settings to save battery when needed (which I do, since I record my rides on a Wahoo anyway).Health tracking is surprisingly solid. Sleep stages, recovery time, HRV — it all adds up and syncs well with Garmin Connect. I also use it day to day, and it’s comfortable enough to wear 24/7. Notifications, alarms, music — all there when I need them.If you’re into real training and want more than just “rings” and animations, this is for you.I highly recommend it to athletes or anyone who’s serious about fitness. One of the best decisions I’ve made.
