Instant Camera Aesthetic from your phone
If you are a fan of that instant camera, lofi aesthetic but want to be able to frame, edit, and adjust your photos first, then this is the printer for you. I want to stress this first and foremost, this is a photo printer that prints on instant photos. It’s really quite clever, but it’s a very specific aesthetic that isn’t for everyone. I personally love this little gadget.The quality of photos it produces is great. It’s got that warmth and charm you get from an old school polaroid but in a mini format and you can review the photo before you decide to print it. The printer has two color modes, a softer more natural looking mode and one for more vibrant colors. Both produce good pictures.The thing I’m knocking off a star for here is the app you have to install on your phone for this printer to work. It’s really unintuitive. There’s also this gimmicky feature where depending on whether the printer is laying down or standing up it changes what mode the app is in. I really don’t like that. Also, getting to the point where you can actually print a photo is super confusing. I really, really do not like the app for this product. It’s the weakest thing about it. While the app does function and allows you to add little stickers and text to your images, I really wish it just worked better.Once you do figure that out, the photo comes out of the printer in about 30 seconds and then develops over the next 1-2 minutes. You get a lovely, vintage looking photo in the end.I really do like Fujifilm Instax pictures. If you are also a fan but want a bit more control over what you print out on the (relatively pricy) instant film, this is the product for you. It’s portable, battery operated, great at parties, and would make a great gift to any mobile phone photographers you know. I do recommend this product. At around $80 for the bundle at the time of this review, I also think it’s a good value.

Gave me wrong color & photos print faded
First off, I ordered a pink & got a white. Secondly, the photos print very faded and not as vibrant as the advertisements make them appear. I got it on sale during prime & don’t have the energy to return it. It does what it says, just not the best quality. I also have the Fuji Camera which I think print more vibrant colored pictures.

If you like the Instax Mini cameras, you’ll love this standalone Instax Mini printer!
Let me start by saying I’m a huge Instax Mini fan. I have hundreds, if not thousands of photos because I bring my Instax Mini camera almost everywhere. I even have a couple of Instax Mini tattoos. 😅 Anyway, my friend told me about these Instax Mini printers and I had to get one, so I ordered this Link 2 model to try out.This thing is AWESOME. It’s essentially a standalone, battery powered printer that “prints” on Instax Mini film, but it really unlocks a lot of possibilities compared to shooting with a normal Instax Mini camera.Right out of the box you’ll want to charge it for at least 2 hours (per the instructions). After that, just load film (easy install — similar to loading the camera), turn it on with the big power button, download the app on your phone, and connect with Bluetooth. Using the app is super easy and there are a lot of cool features like the ability to draw on photos – or add emojis / graphics – before you wirelessly transfer it for printing. Print speed is super fast (of course, you still need to wait for the film to develop) and the quality is amazing. The images are even clearer and sharper than using an Instax Mini camera. This is a great way to make doubles of photos for your friends (no more fighting over who gets to keep the picture!) or if you want to make a bunch of prints of the same photo.Overall, a must have for any Instax Mini photographer / fan, and worth every penny!

Instax Mini Link 2: Fun, but Print Quality and USB Hold It Back
The FUJIFILM Instax Mini Link 2 made a good first impression—it’s super light, feels durable, and the Space Blue color is vibrant. It’s a quick, fun way to get instant prints from your phone. However, the experience is definitely hampered by two main issues. The use of an outdated Micro USB port for charging in a 2025 product bundle is a major letdown. More importantly, the print quality is only “usable,” as images often come out noticeably lighter than the original photo, even with potential adjustments available in the app. While it’s certainly a fun novelty for parties, the combination of so-so print quality and the old charging standard makes me question the overall value for money at this price point.

The sign of a good gift – how many times the receiver thanks you and shows you how cool it is!
My daughter (11yo) has an Instax camera and is familiar with the film (and uses it often). I thought this would be a cool little gift for her and it did not disappoint. She was able to figure out how to get everything unboxed and setup herself (bonus points for ease of use) and since it uses the same film as her camera she had lots of film to choose from which makes the value a little higher. I wouldn’t choose this for printing pictures – it’s a novelty item for sure. But for an 11yo with a tablet it’s a neat little gadget that makes some interesting pictures. The quality is what you would expect from an instax camera picture. Washed out, not exactly high quality. But! Don’t let that hold you back. If you know what you’re getting from an Instax camera you’re getting the same thing from this printer. Except now you can print pictures you took with your phone to the same film for your photo album, and you can add text and graphics to make them a little more interesting and personal. I think my daughter has brought me a dozen pictures she’s printed of her and her friends to show me how much fun she is having.
