The build quality and handle design stand out immediately. The lever has a solid heft to it–smooth and comfortable to grasp–and having lever hardware instead of a knob makes a difference when carrying groceries or juggling bags. It feels like a small upgrade that pays off every day.The most important feature for me is the ability to schedule it to lock at a certain time every night. Now I don’t lay in bed wondering if I remembered to lock the door; it just takes care of itself, and that peace of mind is huge. Fingerprint recognition isn’t flawless–it often works on the first try, but sometimes I have to try again–but it’s quick enough and reliable enough that I never think of it as a problem.Installation takes some patience, but the instructions are clear, and the process is very doable if you pay attention step by step. Once installed, the app setup is simple. I think of it as “set it and forget it”–I created the schedule, turned on notifications, and haven’t had to open the app again. Unlocking makes a quiet mechanical sound, and there’s a fairly loud beep by default that can be disabled (I turned it off right away).Durability has been excellent. My unit is fully exposed–no overhang, sitting in direct desert sun and rain for seven months–and it has never faltered. I’ve only had to replace the batteries once in that time, even with multiple entries and exits every day. The Wi-Fi connection has been rock solid as well; remote access has never failed me.I liked this lock so much that I purchased another one for my garage side door. It’s a product that combines comfort, reliability, and peace of mind in a way that makes it easy to recommend.

Nice lockset, very attractive, good app. Fingerprint works great! The unit I was using before this Eufy had a fingerprint scanner that was not as reliable. I also love the fact that it is wifi compatible (my previous lockset required a bridge). I also like the fact that this lockset uses a physical key that is can be duplicated. My previous set used a physical key that had a strange curved profile – certainly effective at preventing lock pickers, just not friendly to folks who need/want more than 3-4 extra keys.

Don’t buy if don’t have unlimited supply of batteries
I bought 8 of these for a business in July 2025 based on the reviews. The price was good on prime day but the functionality lacks far behind all other smart locks I have ever used. First of all using wifi as the communication protocol is a dumb idea, it kills battery life. Each lock has 8 AA batteries and last a little over 2 months with fair amount of use. This compares to my Yale zwave lock that uses 4 AAA and I only have to replace them once per year for the same amount of usage.If you’re buying this with the goal to connect it to home automation system like HomeAssist, then don’t! This lock and app has very little functionality and doesn’t connect to any other major systems. It’s very inconvenient trying to manage lockcodes doe 8 locks without a decent system. I wouldn’t not recommend, hard for me to say since I am an eufy fan but this product is a disappointment

Have used this lock in 2 locations now. Very easy to install and the eufy app guides you through the setup. Thumbprint technology makes it easy to open without having to use the code. Being able to open remotely if needed via WiFi is very helpful.
