Great for Sub-$300 in 2025. No issues. Runs at good temps under load.
Great for the price. The multitask is good and efficient. For AM4, this is pretty much like the 5950X, so basically the top of the line, if you will. Pretty sure it will last another good 5 years before it starts to fall off to newer tech and software upgrades. Good for gaming. Pair with a decent GPU and you have a mid-high tier gaming PC/Workstation. Runs at 70 Deg C under load with AIO. That’s very good in my book.

2024 another new AM4 cpu. We need more AM4 CPU in the future
16 core / 32 threads CPU , Great option if you still in AM4 Platform. I Replace the 5700x3d with this one. I need more cores. Hopefully AMD release 5900X3D and 5950x3d for the future. Price is great of this CPU and I get high fps during gaming as well. I use Cpu air cooler Zalman it cool it so well. The temperature is low. Good cpu. Thanks AMD

A powerhouse on the AM4 platform !
The Ryzen 9 5900XT is a powerhouse on the AM4 platform, delivering performance that sits just below the top-tier 5950X. The minor 100 MHz clock speed difference is practically unnoticeable in real-world use.At under $300, the price-to-performance ratio is outstanding. Furthermore, its thermal efficiency is impressive: using a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE Black CPU Air Cooler, my temperatures never go above 40c, even during full load.Highly recommended—this is a fantastic CPU!

Budget drop in upgrade
Got this one prime day to upgrade my 3900x system hoping to get a few more years out of it. It’s a nice upgrade! The chip was running a bit hot, so I ended up undervolting it and now it runs cooler (60-70C) and even turbos over 5Ghz.I think if you have an old AM4 (2nd-3rd gen) system laying around, and this on sale for around $200, it’s very compelling. With minimal tinkering my chip is out performing the 5950x. It’s noticeably faster than 3rd gen.I wouldn’t recommend building a new system, just upgrading an older one.

Great power for the AM4 socket
This processor brought life back into my system. It gave it that extra boost needed to keep up with today’s apps and games. It’s probably the most power AM4 processor available. It plays all of my games with great performance. It has no problems staying cool during even the most daunting tasks, and I don’t even have liquid cooling. It was a great price and the stability is typical AMD.

Really a highend CPU
Works on my old motherboard GA-AB350 Gaming 3, just needs a better cooler of at least 200 Watts. I had to learn to tweak the Turno boost from 4.8 to 4.1. Supposedly, the motherboard can supply enough power, but I don’t think so, so I got an X570 for it.UPDATE:The X570 is doing great. I set it to 120 Watts PPT for my 140 Watts cooler. After I OC’ed the 3200 MHz RAM to 3600 MHz, the bottleneck for the CPU stopped, and it is running cooler on standard idle margins.

Nice CPU for the money
I think my main concern in relation to this item is whether or not this is actually a previously returned item. The CPU was shipped inside a paper pouch instead of a box. It got lost for two days and when it got here whatever it went through either tore that tamper seal or this was used which is not reflected in the sales link. I made sure to check all the pins very closely. Everything was in good shape and there was no sign of paste as if it had been installed before. As to performance this thing is darned powerful. A lot of people call this a 5950 (non X) in that it is barely 3% slower than its higher line (and price) brother in the 5950X. Not really sure why AMD opted to go with a naming pattern that would seem to indicate it being a 12C/24T CPU rather than the 16C/32T that it is.Functionally I am seeing speeds from around base clock up to 4.8GHz. It is currently under a cooler that really isn’t up to the task but even so it hasn’t gone above the mid 70’s even in synthetic testing. During games it typically hovers right around 70C. I have not taken the time to do anything with PBO or voltage adjustments. I felt it was best to keep it stock for a while to be sure no issues arise. It does a terrific job with all the games I have thrown at it. I expect that once I update the build to the graphics card and power supply I have in mind that the cooler will also have to be updated to something more suitable.

Really good CPU!
It’s a really stable CPU and handles all my demanding applications especially gaming with excellent experience. It doesn’t make any noise even though a CPU wouldn’t really make any noise but yeah. It supports obviously any graphics card you throw at it but I would recommend getting a compatible PCIe 4.0 graphics card to get the best experience as obviously getting a GPU that’s PCIE 3.0 pairing it up with a 4.0 CPU you’ll be only getting PCie 3.0 speeds. It can get pretty toasty but with a very good air cooler or water cooler or just an AIO it’s really good. It’s stabilability is pretty good too nothing else to say.In general it’s a really good CPU

Excellent processor for multi-task work. I use it on photoshop and few AI rendering projects and the extra cores are great. I upgraded from a 5800X processor, which had half the cores/threads as this processor and you can tell the difference when doing muti-task work. Having said that, if you are looking to buy this for better gaming, this might not be the one for you (Unless you are going from a really old AM4 processor). The single core processing is still really good but the 5800X for example, was almost exactly the same as this one in single core work, so dont expect better frames or anything if you are buying this for games. Games are still GPU heavy. If you want something for gaming, save your money on the processor and invest in a better graphics card, that is where you will see the most benefit. If you do not do media work or AI rendering etc. then other than a few seconds of faster loading of programs, dont expect the world of difference in what you see. Also, this processor does run a little more hot than my 5800X but I use a water cool AIO and on idle it is around 32C and in gaming it is around 45-55C and under heavy rendering load it hits 62C, still really good I think but if you are not using an AIO (or traditional water cooling system), then I would invest in a top tier air(fan) cooler (which are not that expensive and less parts to fail unlike in a AIO setup and can last longer but wont keep it exactly as cool, but still a fan system will do a decent job), but I would definitely invest in a top tier air cooler. A great buy for those in the AM4 world, but this will last me for years until I move to the new AM5 platform (or whatever is current at that time). Also to note it is good practice to upgrade your BIOS BEFORE installing this processor, will save you a lot of trouble and time.

Saí de um Ryzen 7 5900x, 8 Cores, 16 fios, para esse processador: 16 cores e 32 fios. Maravilhoso.Mas tem um detalhe muito importante. Por ser de alto desempenho, aquece e necessita de um bom resfriamento. Recomendo o uso de um bom Water Cooler, com pasta térmica de boa qualidade.
