It’s a 7800x3D… buy it
This CPU is one of the greatest. I wanted to get the 9800x3D when they first came out but obviously they were all snatched up by scalpers and big builders. “Settled” for the baby brother (which at the time was still hard to get ahold of at a decent price). Been running this for about a year now and can’t say anything bad about it. My system is 100% air cooled with this chipset being cooled by a Peerless Assassin. Most of the time fan noise is minimal or not at all unless under heavier load (but that’s usually for games and I’m using a headset so non issue). System boots quick and has been very responsive, no issues with crashes or hangups. Handles games (primary reason I purchased) as well as some moderate 3D modeling and CAD (Solidworks) without any noticeable strain. Solid performance, and would purchase again if I was building another system now. I would recommend this chip to friends and family looking to build/buy a solid gaming rig at any performance level.

Run games smoothly
As my first venture into an AMD build, I couldn’t be happier with the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. Paired with an Asrock B650 Steel Legend WiFi 6E motherboard, fast DDR5 RAM, and an Onix Lumi Arc B580 12GB graphics card, this processor handles everything I throw at it with impressive ease. Demanding games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Ghost of Tsushima run beautifully, providing a smooth and immersive experience, and it also chews through photo and video editing tasks without breaking a sweat. So far, the compatibility and performance have been flawless. What’s particularly reassuring is how consistently cool the 7800X3D runs, even under sustained load. Thanks to my Thermalright Peerless Assassin air cooler and the excellent airflow within my NZXT H6 Flow case, temperatures remain remarkably stable whether I’m deep into a gaming session or processing large media files. This combination of raw processing power and thermal efficiency means I get reliable, top-tier performance across all my applications without worry. My switch to AMD, spearheaded by this 7800X3D, has been an overwhelmingly positive experience. It has proven to be a powerhouse, delivering fantastic gaming frame rates and adeptly managing creative workloads. For anyone looking for a CPU that excels in a variety of demanding tasks while maintaining great thermals with a good air cooling setup, I wholeheartedly recommend the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. It’s a truly capable chip that has significantly elevated my PC experience.

Monster of a CPU
Absolute monster of a CPU. Might even be overkill fot a lot of people. It’s much better value than the 9800X3D so if you want a high-end system I would go with this. Its the second best gaming CPU around, and its about $100 less than the slightly better 9800X3D. Not difficult to cool, runs great and destroys games at 1440p and 4K. This thing will absolutely not be bottlenecked by anything out now or for years. AM5 socket means the board you get will support future releases like the Zen 6 chips coming eventually, though you probably won’t need to upgrade from this to those. Absolute monster that I’d recommend getting at around $350 or so. Well worth the money for a high end build.

Best gaming CPU
This CPU is phenomenal for gaming and offers the best gaming performance at the best price. Completely smooth frametimes and massive improvements in CPU bound crust bombs like modded Skyrim and Fallout. Buy it, it’s totally worth it, and I switched from a 7900x. Also way less power consumption and way less heat produced. My AIO keeps this bad boy at 70C under load. Buy this thing now. Just be very careful when installing the pins on the AM5 socket motherboard are SUPER fragile! Watch a video first.

Best Cpu for the $
Beast of a cpu, easy install and handles every load with ease. Only complaint is it does run hot so use with aftermarket cooler.

Don’t hesitate…just get it!
I kind of went a little overboard with my thoughts on what these tarrifs would bring so I decided to just build a PC just in case the prices increase drastically. Prob won’t but that’s not my point here. When I was researching parts and if I wanted to stay with AMD or try Intel, I found a bunch of raving reviews about this CPU. I got it on sale during the spring sale for $399. Not really a crazy sale there but still saved a few dollars. I got all my PC parts during the sale and prob saved about $150. So now for my actual thoughts on the Ryzen 7 7800x3D. I love the performance upgrade it has given me. This is coming from an Ryzen 5700x3D that’s now in my bedroom PC. I saw a review on here saying they saw very little performance upgrade from a 5600x…..what? I did some benchmarks and play some games. I went from 60 in cyber punk Ultra RT to around 90-100. I am rocking a 9070xt but I was using that with the 5700x3D also. I saw a huge performance uplift in Assassin’s Creed Shadows as well by 20fps. To me that is a great upgrade because frames matter and all that good stuff. It does run warmer than my 5700x3D but I researched the temps and it’s actually below normal temps seen by others in same scenarios. I am using a graphite pad instead of thermal paste so maybe that’s why? Idk but I am tempted to paste it and see if there’s any difference. I can’t show you the CPU but I’ll send a gratuitous picture of inside of my new build like the other reviewers. It’s nothing fancy but it does the job for me. This was the best decision outside the 9070xt…team red baby!

Un très bon processus AMD. Tout s’est déroulé sans le moindre incident je recommande ce vendeur. Livraison impeccable en quelques jours alors le produit vient de l’étranger. Rapport qualité prix imbattable.

Chose the 7800X3D as the 9800X3D was just too expensive for the bump in performance. After liquid cooling it via AIO, it’s runs cool. Idle temps at 40, never going above 75 for intensive stuff.

This CPU is amazing and can handle everything I can throw at it, paired with a 5070
