Inexpensive, easy to setup, reliable, and integrated with Alexa
Inexpensive, easy to setup, reliable, and integrated with Alexa. They hit all points you would want for an Alexa compatible smart plug. When trying to integrate other third party devices there is extra registration, connection issues, etc. I like to support competition and diversity, but for electronic devices it’s difficult to justify the inconvenience of another account, more junk e-mails, more personal information being sold.

Absolutely an awesome product especially if you are a Prime Alexa user. It super easy to use and very intuitive. It is compatible with the Alexa app controls or by voice to your Alexa commands. Within your app, you can add timers which is convenient and can be used whether you are home or away. I already have one and when I saw the good price for the value of this product to get 2, I jumped at the opportunity. I attached it to other lights in my home. For me it was as easy as plugging in the plug and naming it (for user commands and identifying which item you are using).For me the convenience of this product is very useful, hands free, and hassle-free in and around my home to use various things with ease. The smart plugs are sturdy and durable.I highly recommend this product and would definitely purchase again, to use for other home automation items in my home.

Works good, affordable
It was very easy to connect and set up. At first it was not working, but then I realized that my phone was connected to 5G wifi. Need to be on 2.4 wifi to set up it. Also a good idea to know which unit you have before plugging it in and setting it up so you know which QR code to scan to add to Alexa. Works fine, affordable. I use it so I can remotely turn on/off certain things. Works well for my purposes. Knocked down a star because it’s a little wide, would be good if it were more compact.

Easy Connection
These are the best smart outlets. Installation is basically plug and play and no other app is required. As long as you’ve got the Alexa app it is easy peasy and you’ll have your outlets controlling your device’s power in a few minutes. I have a couple of these from when they first came out and they still work perfectly. Other brands have stopped working or their 3rd party app has been discontinued. I will only buy Amazon branded outlets from now on so I can be sure they won’t become obsolete in 6 or 7 years.

Simple, compact smart plug that works well with Alexa
This Amazon Basics Smart Plug has been a great addition to my home setup. I mainly use it with Alexa to control my cat’s litter box, and once it is running, it works reliably every time. This device could be used for multiple different appliances, lights, and anything else that needs to be plugged in. The it has stayed connected, and voice commands respond almost instantly. I also like being able to schedule it to turn on or off automatically, which makes daily routines easier.The only reason I did not give it five stars is because setup was not as easy as I hoped. It took me a couple of tries to get it to connect to Wi-Fi, and I had to reset it once before it finally worked. Once I got it paired, though, it has not dropped the connection since. It also has a little indicator light on it.The plug itself is compact, so it does not block the other outlet, and it has a very simple design. Overall, it is a dependable, budget-friendly smart plug that integrates well with Alexa devices and app.

Great plug! I know it is “basic” and “simple” but the set up was a breeze, and the basic design made it easy to use and figure out and revived my ottlamp that wouldn’t turn on after the external switch broke. Yay! 😁
