Scan Diagnostic Tool

UPGRADED 2-IN-1 SCAN & BATTERY TOOL – Building on the trusted FOXWELL NT630 Plus, the upgraded NT630 Pro takes diagnostics further with an integrated 12V Battery Tester & Battery Registration (BRT). Now you can scan ABS, SRS, and OBD2 faults and test battery health, cranking, and charging — all in one professional tool. One purchase replaces two separate devices, saving both cost and time.
PRO-LEVEL ABS SRS OBD2 DIAGNOSTICS – The NT630 Pro not only provides all the functions of a basic OBD2 code reader, but also offers in-depth diagnostics for ABS and SRS systems: reads ECU info, retrieves trouble codes, and shows live data from wheel speed sensors, brake switch and pedal signals, hydraulic unit status, and airbag modules. After repairs, it clears ABS error codes and turns off the ABS warning light (note: airbag codes cannot be cleared), helping you restore safe braking.
COMPLETE BATTERY STATUS ANALYSIS – Professional 12V automotive battery analyzer, not just voltage reading. This obd2 scanner diagnostic tool adds same full test as FOXWELL BT301: battery health, cranking, and charging tests for Regular/AGM/EFB/GEL (100–3000 CCA). Works as a reliable car battery load tester to show SOH, SOC, internal resistance, cranking voltage and alternator status, with results displayed clearly on a bright 2.8″ color screen. Quickly spot weak batteries in cars, SUVs, RVs, boats and marine to prevent breakdowns.
FULL-SCALE ABS DIAGNOSTICS – Dive deep into your ABS system with the obd2 scanner with abs and srs . Monitor live data from wheel speed sensors (FR/FL), perform static tests, calibrations, and ABS initialization. Dynamic charts make problems easy to spot. This ABS scanner also reads fault codes, shows freeze frame data, and runs active tests including auto/manual brake bleeding, motor test, and version check. Essential for fixing warning lights, uneven braking, or pedal issues—removes the guesswork and gives DIYers or pros valuable data before visiting a shop.
RESTORE FIRM BRAKE RESPONSE – Eliminate soft pedals and long braking distances after fluid changes or part replacements. This ABS scan tool performs brake bleeding to release trapped air, giving you a firmer pedal feel and safer stopping power. Not compatible with vehicles requiring manual brake bleeding. Please check compatibility list(on FOXWELL’s official website) or confirm with VIN before purchase.
ADVANCED RESET & NEWLY ADDED BRT – This scan tool now includes Battery Registration (BRT) to reset the Battery Management System after battery replacement, preventing overcharge, stabilizing voltage, and extending battery life. It also offers vital reset functions such as ABS Bleeding, Oil Reset, EPB Reset, and SAS Calibration —essential for keeping modern vehicles running at their best. If your unit doesn’t have BRT yet, update via WiFi to enable it.
PRECISION BATTERY DIAGNOSTICS – Powered by FOXWELL’s high-precision chip and durable copper clips, this OBD2 scanner with battery tester delivers fast and accurate results. The 2.8″ color screen and 6.5-foot cable make one-person testing simple, while free lifetime WiFi updates keep your car scan tool current. Export detailed reports via USB to monitor battery health and share with your mechanic anytime.
NOTE: 1) The NT630 Pro does not support relearn or programming functions. Unable to read transmission fluid temperature. 2) ABS bleeding is not compatible with vehicles that use manual bleeding. 3) To use ABS bleeding, go to the ‘ABS & Airbag’ menu and select ‘ABS Maintenance’ or ‘Bleeding’ (the label may vary by vehicle). 4) This model supports OBD2-compliant vehicles (1996 and newer cars, SUVs, and light trucks) and does not have a built-in battery.5) No Chrysler cable included; requires separate purchase.

ABS bleed function
It works great. Very importamt tool to have.It bleeds your ABS system and gives you a stiffer brake pedal.

A good buy for the money.
This scanner will do everything except the dishes and laundry! A whole lot of information is action packed into this scanner. Not to the level of scanners that cost hundreds of $$ more. But close to it.

Nice unit
Very good OBD reader. Like the live graphing setting. I would give it a 5 but it doesn’t read tire pressure sensors.

Great Value OBD Tool
Powerful diagnostic tool for the DIY mechanic. I needed to replace my 7 year old OBD code reader and this one hit the sweet spot of capability and price for me. It’s also pretty easy to use.

Highly recommend
Very easy to use. Was able to calibrate a steering angle sensor on a 2010 gm suv. Does everything it advertises and is very quick at doing it. Menu is very easy to read and understand. Haven’t used the battery testing function yet

Very useful
Very useful for my 2011 XTERRA. I’ve used it to diagnose an ABS error as well as recalibrated two sensors. I diagnosed a flashing airbag failure light and reset the system. It’s also been used to diagnose multiple batteries.

Doesn’t work for Chrysler abs trouble codes!
It these products are all compatible with your dodge dakota….but it doesn’t support Chryslers protocol for reading the abs trouble codes…..117 manufacturers of vehicle but not one of the top 5 brands of vehicles in America! And i didn’t realize i forgot to put charging wire back in there …so it wasnt taken purposely.

Let me start this review by saying I am a car enthusiast but not a gearhead. I am more into electronics than I am mechanical systems. Still, I like to learn how things work and I don’t love paying other people for services that I can learn to do myself. I like having an ODB2 reader to see the codes being thrown up by the vehicle, so I can learn what’s going on and even try to fix things. This tool is so much more than just an ODB2 reader, it has more functionality than I know what to do with.It comes in a soft zippered case and there are two power options – a standard ODB2 connector cable, and another one that connects to alligator clips so you can power the device from a 12V battery. This allows you to run a battery health test directly, where it will tell you what shape the battery is in. When connected to a vehicle, it’s able to pull a lot more data, including querying the VIN (or you can enter it manually) and reading a whole ton of diagnostic and live status data. The included manual is 70 pages long and describes all the different menus and options. The backlit LCD screen is bright and the pushbutton interface is easy to use.The one thing I could not figure out is how to power it via the USB-C port, as I was hoping to use it this way to connect to wifi and update the firmware without having to be inside my vehicle. I never could get it to power on this way.I would highly recommend this diagnostic tool for any car enthusiast or mechanic.

Our needs for this tool in our automotive dealership was principally to cover off-make vehicles that our manufacturer specific equipment will not interface with . Outside of our vehicle brand, we will see other manufacturer’s used vehicles and fleet vehicles. We do not get elbows deep into off-brand diagnostics but we sometimes need to get a handle on what we’re dealing with when the dreaded warning light comes on; whether Check Engine, ABS, Air Bag or even oil change light. For retrieving system DTC’s and the look up feature it this tool was OK for our limited needs. It could direct you to a problem area and if you can figure it out without access to manufacture specific workshop manual literature that’s OK if not too complex. The Live Data monitoring feature was helpful, but not as comprehensive as what we are used to dealing with in using our own equipment. It can be good with basics like checking if the engine temp at full warm up, monitoring that all the wheel speeds reading accurately, and if the fuel mixture out to lunch, etc.Power when only plugged in is typical with tools of this sort, we make a go of it. For the price point however, you would figure there would be some limited self-power capability built-in…. maybe their next generation release will be improved in this respect. Costs you nothing to use the tool, no license or upgrade pop ups restricting you from making use of the tool, but was not the easiest interface to navigate as others have commented. Some tools may claim to be higher on included features and cheaper on initial purchase price, but the updates will cost you. So you never want to put good money towards something that has built in obsolescence in the short term and the jury is out on this tool in that respect because it is up there in the price point. To sum it all up, a shop needing a back-up tool to grab and plug in on-the-go this tool works well enough. For a novice handler, it may steer you to component replacement and you just might get lucky in getting a successful & effective repair out of it. Some of those imports with complex oil change resets, this tool was pretty good in getting past a small handful of those; which otherwise had us cruising YouTube videos to figure out the reset.

If you are someone likes to work on their own vehicles, especially if you have modern ones with all the onboard computers, then you need this unit.My struggle started when I redid the brakes on my 2019 ram 1500 and the a b s light would not go off. After looking into it for a little bit, I realized that it has to be reset in the computer and of course, the average household mechanic does not have the ability to do that. So I had to take it into the garage to get that reset, and that cost me two hundred and fifty bucks. So when I saw this unit advertised, I knew that it was a perfect solution, two problems I would encounter in the future as I work on my vehicle as well as my wife’s and my two kids.Out of the box you can tell this is a good unit by how well it is made, how it fits comfortably in your hand and the quality of the cables that come with it. I have an older battery tester, which I suspected was starting to fault. So having that feature in an obd2 unit is perfect. In fact, the first things I did with the unit was determined a charging problem with my wife’s crv as well as confirming my daughter’s battery was starting to fail.I have a reader already but it is the kind that uses your phone as a screen. And I found that problematic as your phone gets quite dirty. Having a unit with a screen is perfect. As I can use my phone to do research while i’m using the reader. The menu isn’t completely intuitive right off the hop, but it didn’t take long for me to get the hang of it. It’s great how it comes loaded to work on so many vehicles right out of the box.One thing to be aware of is the firmware update. Talk about forty five minutes for me. So make sure you have that time planned.I will be working on my sons truck with him in the near future for his brakes, so it’s comforting to know that I’ll be able to handle computer reset without dealing with the dealership.I was able to effectively and quickly use the scanner on all vehicles, end, no check Engine lights we’re on so I was not able to test out any code finding, but it did help clear an intermittent light issue that my daughter was having that the other scanner could not pick up. That was very impressive. It had to do with her evap system.I’m really looking forward being able to use this unit more in depth once some check engine lights, come on. Is that weird? Haha

Their website said that my unit could not be registered so I sent them an email as per the instructions on the website should this be the case. Weeks later, still no response at all. The scanner has now been returned and I have purchased an Ancel DS200 instead and I’m very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone. The Foxwell could not complete an actual scan on a Dodge Charger or a Dodge Ram 1500 and before you can open a customer service ticket you must first register your scanner… and since they won’t answer an email to help you register your scanner… you just purchased a paper weight instead of a scanner. I certainly won’t buy anything from Foxwell again.
