The RV30 Max Plus is a 2-in-1 vacuum & mop combo. It includes Anti-Drop protection, which allows the robot to detect step edges and respond in milliseconds to prevent falls. Great mapping and cleaning
This is my first time owning a Robot Vacuum. I’ve always heard stories about them getting stuck on things, the cleaning direction, pets interferences, the mapping, etc.. I have pets and by that I mean 5 cats and 4 dogs (short haired dachshund, long haired dachshund, husky mix, and a lab) so I have pets! However, I hate a dirty house. I don’t want to feel dirt, hair, litter or anything like that under my feet and I definitely don’t want pet hair and dander (dust) all over my furniture. So I broke down and purchased this Robot Vacuum. Mine is the Tapo LiDAR Smart Navigation Robot Vacuum & Mop with Self Emptying Dock RV30 Max Plus. I include the exact one I purchased because sometimes when I’m reading reviews the one they are talking about might not match what I’m looking at.Okay so to the actual review. I have mine set up to vacuum the main areas (living room, foyer, hallways, dinning room, guest bathroom, guest bedroom, laundry room and kitchen) three times per day on a schedule. The battery still has a charge even when it finishes and it takes roughly 1.5 hours to clean those areas. I have 4 litter boxes I keep in what I call the cat room but really it’s just the litter box closet. I don’t keep that door open all the time so I clean that area manually in the app in between scheduled cleanings as wells as the Main Bedroom, Closet, and Main Bathroom. Usually when I clean those which isn’t every time, it will need to recharge. When that happens it sends itself to the dock, charges, and then picks up where it left off. In the app you can see exactly where the vacuum is at all times, where it has already cleaned and the exact path it used to clean.The mapping was pretty spot on and even allowed you to edit for more precise details. You can even go as far as adding furniture, pet beds, litter boxes, plants, rugs, carpet areas, no vacuum zones, etc.. Each room can be named, color coded and specific details for that room like how many passes, what direction for vacuuming, how much water to use, if any, how much power it uses and in what order to vacuum. It’s really detailed.The vacuum directions are vertically, horizontal, and default which vacuums the outer walls and then either goes vertical or horizontal depending on the room and the map. I’m not exactly sure how it determines where to go on default but I’ve never had any issues with it missing areas, hair or dirt. I will say this if you have pets like I do sometimes you might have to remove some hair from the wheel or brush underneath but it includes a tiny brush with a blade for removing hair. It’s inside the dock next to the dirt bag. The dirt bag holds a good bit. It says up to 60 days. Not in my house I’m sure! I’ve had mine around 3 weeks and haven’t had to change it yet.The wheels are a hard plastic kinda like a garden cart wheel the ones that don’t go flat. They are pretty well made in my opinion. Since I’ve been using it I haven’t had any dirt, litter, hair, or debris under my feet. I’ve also seen a dramatic decrease in dust around my house. It keeps the floor really clean.It completely customizable to your needs and your home. It has a pause feature and the option to add quick cleans or spot clean, where you can highlight an area for it to clean. Overall it functions well for my needs. You do need to add the mop pads and water before it can mop. I can’t review that part because I haven’t used the mop side. I only purchased it for the vacuum side but I wanted the auto empty and some of the other features.I’m obsessed with this vacuum cleaner to the point I’m considering getting a second one just for the cat room and my office. Excessive but if it makes your life easier and cleaner why not. All of the doubts and worries I had before hand were unjustified. I’m happy with my purchase. I mean for everything it does and how well it works for under $300, you can’t beat it! Also, you can use it with Alexa and Siri.The app allows you to monitor its location, maintenance, brush life, sensors, add additional maps, Siri commands and short cuts. It has a Do Not Disturb mode. Auto empty or timed. Too many options to go through them all.I know it was a long review but I tried to be as detailed as possible for those of you like me who are unsure or have never owned one before. Hopefully this helps.

I think I’m in love with a robot
As this is my first robot cleaner, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I picked it based on Wire Cutter’s recommendation, price point, that the app is encrypted and considered safe, and that the most recent update makes it compatible with the Matter Standard. This is remarkably quiet. I could have it cleaning and do a Zoom call kind of quiet. The initial mapping was general, but disturbing cleaning was refined and became very defined. In was very impressed by how it navigated under a table, several chairs and a tea cart without getting stuck. My floors looked much better after and the areas that were less so were because I hadn’t moved some objects or it was inaccessible. Another reason I bought this is that I hoped my cats—who are terrified of the standard vacuum—might be able to tolerate this better. While it’s not a love relationship, my cat who is most scared of vacuums is already tolerating it much better, sometimes watched it, and re-appears from hiding much faster. This is a time saver and a life saver. Love how it self-empties. It consistently finds the dock and has no issues (hard for with a clear area). The app is great, also—you can define what areas are carpet, if you have rugs, what type of cleaning you want done, you can select for a specific patch to be cleaned, the whole house or a room. There are places that could be improved and made more user-friendly, but overall I’m happy. The robots performance exceeded my expectations and I am definitely keeping it.

SOLD on Tapo!!!
This is an amazing machine!! Right out of the box, without even mapping with wifi, it vaccumed my whole house and hit every room. Once I got wifi connected, it mapped the house and now follows my schedule in the Tapo app avoiding areas I dont want it to go. From my viewpoint, its a great robot vac and well worth the buy, which is very affordable. I’m SOLD on Tapo.

Por supuesto, hay que tener en cuenta que el vaciado de la basura, el rellenado del agua y la limpieza del trapo de trapeado, se deben de realizar manualmente. Sin embargo, es excelente para mantener una casa limpia.Claro que es recomendable realizar una limpieza mas profunda de vez en cuando, ya que no retira todas las manchas (como dulces o salsas)

Muy rápido y fácil de configurar. Desde un inicio hace el mapeo y con un tutorial va mostrando lo que puede hacer. Tengo varios artículos de la marca tapo y todo funciona genial.Con la prueba que hice hasta los pelos de mis perritas recogió.Su tamaño es algo grande pero no tengo problema por eso.

So far so good. Good at washing but really good great at sucking. Honestly the sucking is so great I’m surprised at how powerful it is. Left me speechless. Washing isn’t bad but definitely will need to refill more often if you have a large living space. But yea my god, sucking is awesome.

Tapo support is horrible – had issues with the device and took them over 2 weeks to say tough luck and that I have to deal with it. Using my 4 year old iRobot vacuum instead.
