Ultimately a letdown for the price
I bought the SJCam SJ20 camera based on its bold specifications. Such as 8H power, Super Stabilization, 4K Dual Lens, Low-Light Motion and so on but after using it I emerged more frustrated than impressed.Here’s where it falls short:BATTERY LIFEDespite the 8 H power claim, real-world use gave me far less runtime. I once got 146 minutes and another time 138 minutes of videos with the additional battery, which was pretty annoying because I ended up missing the big part of the day that I was supposed to record. I got bunch of 5 minute videos that gave me the total minutes that I mentioned above.IMAGE STABILIZATIONThe image stabilization is weak. I specifically purchased a separate backpack mount, which sadly does NOT come with the camera, so I could have it mounted as steady as possible but in the end I got shaky, choppy videos not the smooth “Super Stabilization” promised.VIDEO QUALITYEven in good light, footage lacks sharpness and contrast. At night or low light it degrades further to a fuzzy and a grainy quality which is disappointing for a camera advertised to be as premium.DESIGN FLAWSThe external/additional battery is rather difficult to attach and until you figure it out, it keeps coming off.VALUE FOR THE MONEYGiven the price tag one would expect a better performance than it does. It is not a $29.99 camera so you might say well you get what you paid for.PROSThe dual-lens day/night concept is interesting and gives you something unique compared to ordinary action cams.CONSShorter battery life than advertised, meaning less actual shooting time.Sub-par stabilization, results are shaky when moving.Video quality doesn’t meet expectations for a pricy “4K/dual lens” promo cam.Some awkward design choices in battery and memory card access.Not as strong value compared to better known brands with proven performance.Even if you are doing basic static shots in good light, this camera might not suffice. But if you expect robust action-cam performance (smooth motion, long filming sessions, high video clarity) it disappoints. I’d recommend exploring other options unless you’re already okay with trade-offs.

Good Budget Action Camera
If you are looking for a budget friendly action cam with good stabilization, lots of features, front facing screen and image quality comparable to a gopro, this might work for you. This also comes with all the standard mounts and accessories and with expandable battery and a back touch screen that makes navigation easy without needing an app.

I really like this Cam. Picture quality is decent, Video is really nice. I used it on my 8 day Cruise in the Mediterranean, and manage to get a few quality photos and videos. However, it has now stopped working. It will no longer power on. I’ve taken the battery off and reattached to no avail. I even charged and attached the 2nd battery, with the same results.
