A rough ride, but it turned out to be worth it in the end.
I originally got these glasses for my old android phone I used then. At that time the store page didn’t have any obvious heads up that even though they work with android phones they needed to have DP Alt mode support on the phone itself to function and the warning was buried and nested in a small FAQ a bit down the page, so I was pretty angry when I got the glasses and they did not work properly. I have since gotten a new phone anyways as my old android phone was pretty old and outside of its service life for a couple years at the point and my new phone did have DP Alt mode functionality so I was able to use the glasses. As for the glasses themselves they do have a good looking display with great color and sound to match. They are a bit bulky and a little narrow for my head personally but those are issues I have in general with glasses. The glasses can get hard to see without corrective lenses if you are an individual who needs corrective lenses to see properly but they do come with some sample lenses and have a company that you can work with to get special corrective lenses made to be used with the glasses. A way around this is to use contacts. I have seen some people think of using these as something like teleprompters but the visibility through the glasses is rather difficult and personally I would not advise navigating around while also using these glasses like the old Google glasses. The glasses are a little bulky as they need to contain the electronics so don’t expect thin frame eyewear like traditional corrective glasses but they don’t weigh that much so they aren’t too uncomfortable on your face. For larger faces like my own you will need to adjust the glasses quite a bit more to get them comfortable but nothing troublesome. I would like to see something to adjust the distance between the arms of the glasses to accommodate wider heads like what VR goggles have with their arms and straps so when worn the arms of the glasses aren’t so stretched.Overall a good device to bring on long car trips or to privately watch movies and not bother other people amongst you or to easily watch shows lying in bead and not have your phone drop out of your hands and break your nose. Just make sure you are keeping aware of your surroundings when in public as you cant really see past the image display to whats around you very well.I have had 2 pairs of these glasses, the first pair I had has had an issue with some oils stuck in the glasses around the nose pads and leaking out of a hole on the bridge of the glasses that let off a very pungent smell that has actually made me lightheaded when I was around the glasses even when airing them out. I have had someone reach out to me about the issue and where Amazon was only giving me an option for a refund where I would of seen the money after another month as of writing this review the representative was able to replace my first pair with a new pair that no longer had the strong chemical smell. I appreciate them taking the time to reach out to me before I reached out to them as well as them taking my suggesting of making the DP Alt mode necessity more obvious on the store page.

Much better than they say it is.
It’s fenomenal for an Samsung or iPhone due to the aspect ratio of the smartphones 19.5:9, even as the glasses panels are 1920×1080 which is the classic 16:9.For Windows with the standard 16:9 monitor is actually not great, I can’t see all corners of the windows screen on the glasses, but I fixed that changing the aspect ratio of my wondows screen (you can do it to your glasses monitor or to the main monitor, depending of you use your glasses ias a extended or duplicate). To change the aspect ratio to 19.5:9 you need to set a Custom Resolution of 1920×886, that’s 1920/(19.5/9) instead of the 1920×1080, sure I have lost about 20% of screen real-estate but it’s totally worth it.To set that resolution you may use your Nvidia or AMD software or the Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) created by ToastyX, look for it.Now I’m using these glasses as the Primary Monitor for my Travel Laptop, my 14in laptop with these glasses feels like I’m using a monitor FIVE times bigger. The idea that I will use these glasses as sunglasses it’s just RIDICULOUS, I don’t see the need to look through these glasses, so I covered them with a black vinyl stick and cut the contours with an exacto knife.. now the images is way better as no external light bleeds through those lenses so it’s like looking at a monitor in a totally dark room with ZERO glare.I could get more expensive glasses that have correction included, but that won’t help with my astigmatism or glasses that allow me to change the screen size, but I won’t spend more for something I have fixes myself.Additionally I use a silicone strap that I have to modify to fit these huge legs but it makes it even better because they are now as close as posible to my eyes and they stay there.I also got my prescription inserts and they fit perfectly. After all the improvements the image quality of these glasses is actually far better than any other monitor I have EVER tried and I have been using pretty much everything from the CGA 320×200 to the Ultrawide 5120×2160. Sure more Resolution brings you more details, but not necessarily better image quality.Next thing I will do is pair this with the TravkIR 5 Head Tracking to make my own VR goggles, without the heat, weight and noise of regular Googles… it won’t have the same clarity of a Bigscreen Beyond 2, but I could use simulators on my $300 laptop in a VR like experience that I could take anywhere instead of a $6000 5090 workstation that won’t go anywhere.

big heads beware- otherwise BUY THEM ON SALE
the bad: I have a very large head, (hat size 7 ⅝) so these don’t quite fit right and I look a bit dumb wearing them as the arms are folded all the way out. and I believe as a result of this the very edges of the display are cut off and a bit soft.the good: I absolutely love these. they dont weigh much of anything and are absolutely amazing for laying in bed and still being productive. I left the screen in the “standard mode while I hooked it up to my macbook air and did some photoshop and lightroom work. and honestly? perfection. These are plenty bright (unless you’re using these outside in broad daylight but you’re going to look like a dingus if you do that anyway)and plenty color accurate, at 98% dcip3 im content and its good enough for me.the rest: gaming on steam deck? pretty sick, immediately connects and steam deck shuts its screen off immediately to conserve battery, screen looks bigger than the steam deck while also being higher resolution, battery life is right about the same, maybe 10-15% worse from my quick test. sounds as good as any other glasses with speakers in them (fine) overall, if these are on sale and you are considering it? go for it, they’re sick.
